Thanks for reading! Keep commenting. i appreicate that feedback The next following months came and Gwen’s birthday was coming up in 2 weeks. Things between her and Jack had picked up and beginning to become how they were, close friends. Some would say a little more then that. So Gwen was expecting they would do they same thing they did every year. Which was go out to a nice dinner but Jack had other things in mind.
“So Jack, are you going set up reservations for dinner or shall I? It be nicer if you do it.”
“Dinner for what?”
“Come on, you know!”
“I really don’t, I’m sorry. Did I miss something in the schedule?”
“It’s my birthday you jerk! Remember we always have my birthday dinner?”
“Oh yea right, gosh I’m sorry. I have been so busy with my career and the gigs and such. You really are a good agent.”
“Thanks but what about dinner. Its in 2 weeks!”
“Oh yea right, I’ll get on soon as possible.”
Gwen walked away thinking, how could he forget
 The day had arrived and on Gwen’s birthday she had the day off so she went for a jog.
The cool air was refreshing and it made her forget all about Jack forgetting her birthday. Besides she knew wouldn’t just leave her hanging on her birthday!
 It was about noon when she got home and realized that Jack was no where in sight. Gwen started to worry but then she realized that he probably just preparing some last min fixes for her birthday dinner. She went in the kitchen and made herself a lunch and settled into some R&R for the day. It was close to 10 when Jack came bursting into her room.
“What are you doing?! Why aren’t you dressed?”
“I’m sorry, Jack you didn’t tell me when the reservations-”
“What are you talking about? I have important gig today at a new art gallery downtown!”
“What about-”
“We don’t have time for your babbling Gwen. Now hurry up and put on you nicest dress and get in the car now!”
Jack rushed out the door
 Gwen couldn’t believe it, Jack forgot her birthday. After everything he said, she was kinda heart broken. Jack was back to his usually self centered self. She knew was to good to be true. Gwen put on her best dress and fixed her hair real nice so she wouldnt further upset Jack and got in the car.
“Took you long enough” Jack said as she got in the car
“Why do I need to come? You never ask me to come to your gigs before.” Gwen snapped back
“Don’t sass me and there going to be very import people there and I need an escort. There are going to be painting there that are truing amazing.”
Gwen rolled her eyes and looked out the mirror. She still couldn’t believe it.
 They pulled up to the gallery and no one was there. Gwen was confused
“I thought you said there were going to be people here?”
“You made me late and its probably over now. Ugh my life is over!”
Gwen rolled her eyes again. She couldn’t believe Jack was acting this way…again. She really started to like him. She would even go as far as to say she loved him.
“Quit your whining, let’s go in and check”
“Fine, whatever”
 They went inside and Gwen looked around and saw there was no one.
“I guess we missed it, lets go home.”
“Ugh can’t believe you Gwen”
“I cant believe you” Gwen whispered.
“What was that?”
“Nothing”
Gwen started to walk away
 As she walked around she started looking at the paintings. They looked oddly familiar, like she had seen them before. She took a closer look at one of them and realized it was hers, all of them where hers! She couldn’t believe it. She ran around looking at all of the paintings to make sure. Just as she was about to scream in excitement she heard someone walk up.
“Happy Birthday”
 It was Jack. Immediately she ran up to him and hugged him tight.
“Oh Jack, I can’t believe it! ”
“It’s all yours.”
“My very own gallery…how did you know?”
“I see you paint all the time and honestly your paintings where beginning to fill up my storage space so I just gave you some where to put 'em”
“I still cant believe it. I thought you forgot”
“I would never forget your birthday. It is the most important day of the year.”
“Thank you so much. I love you Jack”
The words slipped out of Gwen’s mouth before she could catch them. All the excitement in her face seemed to dim and shyness crept in. Jack could see it and he took her hand.
“I love you too Gwen.”
“Really?”
Jack laughed and smiled
“Cant you tell? You mean the world to me and that it much more then just maid my maid silly.”
Gwen smile and looked away
“I still cant believe you did all this for me”
“I did it for the same reason you came back for me”
“You need me?”
“It’s so much more then that. I need you to be with me”
 Tears came to Gwen’s eyes as her heart began to melt. That was it. She couldn’t fight her feelings anymore. She wanted to be with Jack too.
“Of course I will be with you.”
Gwen gave Jack a quick embrace and long passionate kiss
 Jack pulled away and stared into Gwen’s eyes as if she was the most beautiful woman in the world. “I so happy you feel that way because I have wanted to ask you something”
“What is it Jack?”
Jack looked deep into Gwen’s eyes.
“What are you doing for the rest of your life?”
