This is the first chapter of Bethanys Life. Enjoy :)

This is the first chapter of Bethanys Life. Enjoy :) Hi, I'm Bethany Sawyer. But you can call me Beth, because all of my friends call me Beth. :) This is my best friend, Natalie. We met when we were in Kindergarten, and we've been inseparable ever since. Well, until we were sixteen. When we were sixteen, Natalie's parents got a job on an Island, which meant that she had to move away. You can imagine how torn up we both were about it, but I won't bore you with the dreary details. When Natalie moved away, I did pretty much anything in my power to rebel against my parents. I don't know why I did, I just sort of blamed them some how. I went partying every night. I would sneak out late all of the time, and wouldn't come back until sunrise. Some day's I wouldn't come back at all. I had a boyfriend, who my parents despised because I spent more time with him than I did with them. I was with him when they were at my grandpa George's funeral. This really made my mom disappointed in me, since she knew that I loved my grandpa more than anyone. I've even been arrested a few times. (I won't tell you why, because it's embarrassing. Let's just say it had something to do with underwear and the towns flag...) My parents were obviously so fed up with my bad behavior, that they sent me to an all girls boarding school. After three weeks of boarding school, they sent someone to come and pick me up. I thought they just couldn't live without me, but it turned out that my mother was sick with cancer. She was going through treatments, which meant hair loss. And for her, hair loss was the biggest obstacle through it all.

I tried to cheer her up by talking about how we were going to travel when she got better, and I promised her I would become a great student. I was going to make her proud of me.
Being in a neighborhood like ours, we knew she would get stares because of her hair loss. But we didn't care. All we wanted was for her to get better, which she did.

And her hair finally started to grow back a few months later.
But when I was eighteen, two years later, her cancer came back. Unfortunately, she didn't beat it the second time. She didn't want to have to go through everything she went through the first time. She gave up...

Even though she gave up, it still broke my heart to watch her succumb to the disease.
A few weeks after my mothers death, my father died. The medical examiner said it was heart failure, but I say he died from a broken heart. I lived on my own for two years, but when I was twenty I realized I wanted more for my self. Everyone in my town expected the best from you. Expensive clothing, jewelery, cars, a huge house. I wanted to be myself. And I knew that River Blossom Hills wouldn't let me be myself. They wanted you to give in to their high-class ways, and I never wanted nor ever will be that. So after calls and video chatting with Natalie, I finally moved to her little Island with her. We were both speechless when we saw each other. She wasn't that dorky girl I remembered from when we were young.

No, she was a beautiful swan, who was more confident that I could ever imagine I'd be.
Now, I'm sitting in my new room, telling you about my new life. I still need to unpack all of my suitcases, and also redecorate my new room. So I think I should get started on that.

xoxo, Beth.

The "\:rah\:" wasn't for it being sad. . .the " \:rah\:" was for it being well written. . .
