Don't forget to read the first three chapters! They're told in both Dylan and Bethany's point of view, if you don't understand the story!

I hope you enjoy this one, it's my personal favorite. :)

Here's the fourth chapter in The Life Of... Series.

Don't forget to read the first three chapters! They're told in both Dylan and Bethany's point of view, if you don't understand the story!

I hope you enjoy this one, it's my personal favorite. :)
I woke up around 2pm, today. The light from outside was shining through my bed room window straight into my eyes and woke me up.

Okay, I lied. Meadow was gathering all of her stuff so that she could finally move out.
"Sorry, did I wake you?" she asked me.

"Yes, you did, actually." I snapped.

"Look Dylan. I'm really sorry about... Everything," She paused for a moment then continued, "But I still care about you."

"Am I seriously supposed to believe that?"
She walked to the door.

"I don't expect you to right now. But I hope that one day you can forgive me... Goodbye, Dylan."
I don't think I ever will believe it. Nor do I think I'll forgive her. Why should I? She lied to me. She cheated on me. That doesn't exactly deserve a "Oh, it's alright, we can still be friends!" After showering, I walked into the living room to check my phone voice mails. I could hear the beeping all through the hallway. "Hey Dyl! It's Brock. Man, last night was insane! I think I drank too-"

The message cut off...

Next.
"Sorry, my phone cut off! Anyway, did you see that new hot chick? Of course you did, you were chatting it up with her all night! I guess that means you're over Meadow... You have to tell me about her! Hit me up later. Brock, out!"

Sometimes he says some of the stupidest things.

Next message.
"Hi, Dylan. It's Beth. From last night? Anyway, I was wondering if you would want to go this Art Museum with me. They kind of just opened and Natalie got tickets but she can't go because she has to work and... Anyway, just give me a call if you want to go. Bye."

No more messages.
I thought for a second. Beth is pretty cool. Not to mention, beautiful. Maybe I should go. I've never been to an Art Museum before. It could be fun. I picked up the phone and dialed her number. "Hello?" I heard a woman's voice say.

"Beth?" I asked.

"Nope, Natalie. Hold on." I couldn't exactly hear what she was saying, but it sounded like "Beth! Get your butt off of the toilet Dylan is on the phone?" Something like that..

Not knowing Natalie's voice is kind of embarrassing, since we went to high school together, but all girls sound the same to me, so how was I supposed to know?
"Hello?" She answered.

"Hey. I got your message. So, the art museum, eh?" I smiled.

"It's okay if you say no. Natalie's the one who told me that I should ask you.. Well, mainly because I told her I had a great time talking to you last night. Oh, gosh. Am I talking too much." I could basically feel her embarrassment through the phone.

"No, I'll go with you. And you kind of are talking too much," I joked.

"I'm sorry! I tend to do that when I'm nervous."

"It's alright. So, I'll see you tonight?"

"It's a date. Unless you don't want it to be a date, it can just be two friends going to an art museum..."

"It's obviously a date, Beth." I smiled.

"Okay, see you tonight."
Hours passed, and it was finally time to go out with Beth. Nervous doesn't begin to describe how I'm feeling about it. I haven't been on a date with a girl since Meadow. But I'm ready... I think. When I finally made it to the museum, I saw her sitting outside on a bench waiting. Even in just casual clothing she took my breath away! "Hi, Dylan," she said.

"Hey, Beth. You look... Amazing." I muttered.

"Thank you, you do too," she smiled. "We should probably go in now."

"Of course."

I can't believe I don't know what to say around her! I'm never like this around women. I don't know what has gotten into me. Maybe I'll ease up when we're inside.
Everything was beautiful. I can't believe I've never been here before. I mean, I can, seeing as how I've never really been into art. Nonetheless, I'm glad that she asked me to come with her. This was my favorite piece. I'm pretty sure this was Beth's... She stared at it all night long. The museum closed around nine, so before it closed, I asked Beth to dance. We found a good spot outside where we could still hear the music. "So, did you have fun?" she asked me.

"Actually, I did. Thanks for bringing me." I replied.

"No problem." she smiled.

I couldn't help but look into her eyes. So bright and blue like the ocean and the sky meshed together. I just couldn't help myself....
The good thing is that she didn't pull away. I just can't believe that I actually kissed her... On our first date! Things are moving faster than I had wanted, but it's going good. Just as long as I don't mess things up next time I have one of my 'impulses.'
