This is the second part (or chapter) of May Bailey's story. Thank you so much for the kind words and support you gave me when Part One was published.
Maybe they were watching me, studying my reactions before showing themselves to me...maybe it was something I wasn't expecting... I had huge hopes for Jonathan not to show himself. He was the only one I could never feel the presence entirely. He was the one I was afraid of, Cap.Jonathan Muddlemore. He used to hate me because, according to himself, I had "stolen" his best friend, Leo. And he'd have haunted me if he could... Leo. Leopold Mahler. A sweet man with a strong name. So close, so far. Although we lived in the same house, our worlds were completely different. I still remember the first time I saw him. I was 6 years old and he'd called me "blondie". I grew up used to having him around to play with. He was the imaginary friend of my childhood... Later we became more than just friends... Leo was my first love. Do I still love him? I don't know, I suppose I do. Who could not love Leo and the lovely music he made? He as a composer and a conductor when he was alive. He told me the history of his life and I loved to listen to every word he said... That was the way saw him. I know most people would see him as a real 'see-through' ghost. This is my gift: to be able to see ghosts as they were when they were alive. To talt to them. To touch them. To feel their presences... But this gift made me find out about things I didn't want to know...one Saturday afternoon I saw 'him', the Grim Reaper, the Soul Collector collecting the soul of Desmond, our gardener who had fallen from a tree and broke his neck... And that was the way I saw him... I decided to approach and talk to him. I have no idea why I did that...And I learned that he had a name. Azrael. He was an angel, the Angel of Death... and he was nice to talk to, although I was a always afraid of him...afraid of making him angry... But it all happened a long time ago... "George! You woke up!! Great!"
"Hey, little sister! I'm hungry"
"That's wonderful news. You are going out with me."
"Where are we going to?"
"To the diner!"
I was glad George finally had some fun at the diner. He needed to go out a bit. Now I was upset... "May..."
I listened to the sound of his melodious and grave voice saying my name...Oh dear...I felt my heart beating so fast in my chest.
"... I am here. And I have been waiting for you ever since you left this house...and took my heart with you"
