Description
I am watching Elizabeth Taylor's Cleopatra as I type this, what may be my last entry--an Egyptian wave has scorched me worse than the gold-specked sands of the Nubian Desert, and as if possessed by some sort of otherworldly mummy's curse I catalogue this set of patterns taken from ancient Egyptian paintings, mostly from the Book of the Dead. The Book of the Dead...that arcane text on ancient funerary myths and rites...I read a few passages, unable to control myself, and now everywhere I turn all I hear is the snapping of scorpion claws, the howling of the winds on the high sand dunes, the crash of the floodwaters on the Nile Delta. I fear that by reading on death I may have initiated my own. To those who follow in my footpaths, take heed to this warning: Download these patterns or be haunted by a mummy for the next 2 sim weeks!
