yay! Here's the next chapter. Ever since I started this story I've always wanted to insert local mythology and beliefs to the story. It was hard to choose, from the nightmare-inducing creatures (kapre, tikbalang), dwarves (nuno sa punso, dwende), faeries (diwata, enkanto, tamawo,dalakitnon),giants, corpse-eaters (mananangal, aswang), merpeople (siukoy, sirena, kataw), and hexers or witches (mangkukulang, mambabarang). I decided on the faeries since they're familiar with everbody and the easiest to create in sims2. So this chapter gives a glimpse on the different myths I know about (Filipino) faeries.
I would like to thank Sherahbim for letting me use her fay and V1ND1CARE for the lot, grotto of persophone and the rest who made wonderful CC used in this story and for those who read the previous chapter.

Hope you guys enjoy this one. "Here we are finally!"declared Henry as they reached their destination. It was the weekend before Henry and Alice's wedding, the members of the Croft family, with friends Riven and Emma decided to spend it camping in Mt. Glyndwyr. Jane on the other hand, had other plans. She remembered that her grandmother, Daniella used to tell her of enchanting tales about faeries. If she's lucky, she'll be able to find one and try to reorganize the magical communtiy that her ancestor once established. Lizzie immediately rushed towards the lake as the others decided to settle in. "It's beautiful!You sure it's safe for us to leave the medallion at home?"exclaimed Lizzie. Jane went after Lizzie.
"As long as only the 3 of us girls know how to enter the basement, then it's safe.um..Lizzie, I must tell you something. take closer look in this lake..this lake is actually Lake Livingston...the one I've told you about." said jane. Lizzie glared at Jane.
"The lake where Lorynne gathered the different races to make their pact? But..this is a camping ground!" blurted Lizzie as she tired to recall jane's story (see chapter 4 ).
"This lake was abandoned 10 years ago after what happened to dad. Mom and Henry decided to severe all our ties with the magical community. The rest of the magical community went on their separate ways as well. 5 years ago, Malcolm Langraab IV bought parts of Mt. Glynwyr and turned it to a tourist spot and camping grounds."explained Jane.
"But what about the faeries? The plantsims? the elves? And others who live here? Isn't this their meeting place?"asked Lizzie.
"They no longer meet. That's why I chose this spot to be our camping ground. By twilight we'll go out hiking and check if we can see some faeries here. We'll try to convince them to rebuild the community ,the pact and to help us stop Lucretia."noted Jane as Lizzie looked at the lake. "the lake seems so small. How do all the races travel to meet here anyway?"asked Lizzie as she focuse on the waterfall.
"Granny used to tell me each race had their own kingdoms hidden from human kind. This lake was said to be a powerful portal that could connect to those different kingdoms magically." explained Jane. Lizzie shook her head. "But look at the place now, it's a camp site! how are we supposed to look for some faeries here! That landgraab!"she said in disgust.
jane held her sister's hand.
"Come on, Henry and Emma playing games now. Which side will you cheer for?We'll look for them later."she said as she motioned to the others. Alice was cheering for Henry as Laura was rooting for Emma. Lizzie turned to the bicycle she rented earlier at the foot of the mountain. "No thanks. I'll just go bike around the mountain for a while. I need to get some fresh air. since I absorbed the mummy's telepathy abilities my head's been aching with different thoughts of other people!"said Lizzie as she hopped on her bike.
"Just remember to be back soon! We dont know what Lucretia might be up her sleeves against us next. It's not safe for you to be alone."reminded jane as Lizzie rode off. "Come on Jane, your gonna miss how Emma is creaming Henry in axe-throwing."said Riven when she noticed Jane looked worried.
"Dont worry, you're sister's gonna be fine. If she's in trouble she'll just teleport back to camp."he told her.
"No, it's not that. Lizzie's upset..after she found out your uncle bought this lake..."said jane.
"Oh that..Dont worry I promised you I'll try to talk to my uncle about that didn't I?I intend to keep that promise."said Riven when he felt a rock hit his head.
'Ouch! What was that/"he asked as he rubbed his head. Jane turned to the direction where the rock came from.
"It can't be.." she gasped. Behind some tall trees there was a plantsim making faces at Riven.
"Take that Landgraab boy! You think you ca buy anything now don't you!!" she snickered. "Why that little green thing.."growled Riven as Jane turned to her boyfriend then asked "you can see her too?"
the startled plantsim jerked and ran away.
"After what happened to me these past few days and what you've explained to me, these things dont surprise me anymore."he grumbled.
"That was one of the feys! Riven calm down...I think we're gonna get lucky today, come on." said Jane as she grabbed her boyfriend's hand and they ran after the plantsim.
"Wait! Can we talk to you!"Jane called out. 'How come they can see me?What are they?"asked the plantsim as she ran away. "I gotta hide." she said as she quickly jumped to try and climb up a tree. But in her hastiness, the plantsim slipped while climbing . She landed down the ground.
"There you are. Don't be afraid, I just want to talk to you."said Jane.
"Please dont hurt me..I was just kidding around with the Landgraab.."squeaked the plantsim. Jane giggled.
"It's allright, the Landgraab wont hurt you as long as I'm here."she told the plantsim. "Hey! I know you! You're that Croft's wife! The red head!"exclaimed the plantsim.
"Actaully, that's my mom, Laura..I'm their daughter, Jane."corrected Jane as the plansim rejoiced.
"Such likeness to your mother! I havent seen anyone of you mages here for years!Why have you not return here?"rejoiced the plantsim. "It's a long story..I was wondering..do you think you can take me to a place where I can meet more feys like you?"asked Jane.
The plantsim noded her head as yes.
"Of course, it's been a while I'm sure some of your father's friends would want to see you..or not.."said the plantsim as she glared at Riven.
The the plantsim pointed to the lake. "Come just stick close to me!"she said as she dived into the lake. Jane watched as the water splashed.
"You sure about this?I think that plantsim doesn't like me..she might try to drown me.."asked Riven.
"And... the others might wonder where we are..."continued Riven. "Stop making excuses scaredy cat!"teased Jane as she jumped into the lake.
"Come on!"she called out.
I promised Lizzie we will get help from the feys, she thought to herself. As soon as she entered into the lake she felt herself floating in a void.
'Where am I going..? Where's the plantsim..?'she asked herself. She felt the need to get some air so she swam to the surface. "Hello."greeted the plantsim as Jane sucked for air.
"Okay, where are we going?"asked Jane.
The plantsim giggled. "We are here, silly. The lake was a portal, I opened it up for us to reach here.This is the place where your ancestors and the rest used to meet.The grotto of Peresephone, a place hidden by the Livingston LAke. "explained the plantsim. "Jane!"called Riven as he surfaced.
"I see your boy decided to join us as well."said the plantsim.
"I cant just leave you with my girl now, can't I?"retorted Riven.
"Okay calm down..can we just..get out of this lake first..."said Jane.
"fine!"chorused Riven and the plantsim.
"Dont worry about your clothes Landgraab, i'll dry them with my magic when we get out of here."grinned the plantsim. A fairy queen was sitting in a fountain and watching her blessing of unicorns grazing in the grass.
She wanted to take her time out from her duties in her kingdom. So she took some of her unicorns for a little ride. This grotto seemed to be a good place for her to rest.
Or so she thought..She was lost in her thoughts when she heard a voice alling for you.
"Oh..your highness..Queen Rose I didn't expect tp see you here.It's me Cornelia"said the plantsim's voice.
The pink-haired queen snapped out from her thoughts.
" What are you doing here plantsim? And why do you call me by that name given to me by the mortals?" she said.
"It's because I brought some guests!I'm sure you might find one of them as familiar." said Cornelia as she introduced her guests.
"Mortals?How dare you bring them here to our grounds?"exclaimed the queen as she peered closer to the red head that was entering.
"One of them isn't a mere mortal my queen."stated Cornelia. "You!"cried the queen as she stood up.
"How dare you even come here after you decided to severe your ties with us?Dont tell me you've come here now that you need our help."
"Uh..I.."stammered jane as Cornelia hyped in.
"That's not Laura, she's her daughter, Jane."
"Was it that long already?That little red haired has already grown from the last time I saw her. Why would I want to be involved in those mages' affairs anyway? That's their problem now." declared the queen.
"But this problem will affect all of us whether you'd want to be involved or not. It's about Vittorio and his ghouls.."blurted Riven as Jane remained quiet.
"Vittorio?That's your problem, not mine." said the queen as she rolled her eyes.
Jane reflected on the recklessness that Henry and her mother made. She had no idea how mad the feys were. "Oh pipe down, uh..Rose.."said a cool voice.
The rest turned to a beautiful winged lady sitting under the shade of a tree. she was playing around with dandelions.
"The mortal is right, it will affect all of us. I've heard or rumors that some of Vittorio's ghouls are on the move once again. "she continued to speak.
"Oh! You majesty..Queen..uh..Sierra..I didn't notice you here." said Cornelia.
"Why are do they seem to be unsure about their names?"whispered Riven to Jane.
"feys dont give their real names to other races, especially to mortals.A mortal knowing their real name can gain control over them. Cornelia, Rose, Sierra, that's not their real names.."replied Jane.
"Whatever..you deal with them Sierra, I'm out of here. I'll return for my blessing when they're no longer here." said Queen Rose as she teleported away. "i'm sorry about that. She's one of Lorynne's most loyal friends, she became upset when the mages decided to abandon their duty.What do the ghouls plan anyway?"apologized Sierra.
"I understand why she's so mad and I'm sorry as well. The ghouls are planning to revive Vittorio from his seal.Do you think you can help me find a way to gather the rest of the fey once again?"said Jane.
"That's easier said than done my dear. I'm only a queen in my own kingdom. There are several kinds of fey, and several separate kingdoms from each kind of fey. Cornelia's people has her own queen, Rose is a queen of her kingdom, and I am of mine. What Lorynne did years ago was such a complex task. She travelled from kingdom to kingdom and managed to convince each rulers to join her cause."explained Sierra.
"She must be a real powerful magician!"noted Riven. "How about you,Queen Sierra? Can you help us? Even just by teaching us magic?Or anything on how to beat these ghouls."requested Jane.
"i'll try to get some of men to help you. BUt like I said, it would take a while. I'm not sure if they would approve of helping you as well. Just like Queen Rose, many feys are still angry after what happened."replied Queen Sierra. As Jane and the queen were conversing, Riven started to look around the place. He thought it was beautiful and felt sad that the Livingston Lake was bought by his uncle. As a Landgraab heir (his uncle has yet to marry) he knew he can do something to return the lake to the mages. "I understand..but I'm afraid what if we fail?and Lucretia succeeds?"asked Jane as her vooice trembled.
"You're father has taught you enough. I'm sure you'll be able to beat Lucretia if you work together. You've spent your time here long enough now, you should go home now before it's too late."consoled Sierra.
'What do you mean?"asked Riven who joined the two.. Sierra chanted a spell, then a floating hourglass appeared before Jane.
"The time between mortal world and faerie world is different. What seems like a day here in our world is already a month to yours."said Sierra.
"Oh gosh! I remember now..Henry, mom!They must be worried."gasped Jane. "Take this hourglass. It will take you back to the lake and to the time a couple of minutes after when you jumped into here. Keep it, use it if you want to visit me here."continueed Sierra as Jane peered closer at the hourglass.
Jane smiled then embraced Sierra.
"Thank you for not being mad at us. I promise that my sister and I will stop those ghouls." she whispered.
"And I would do something what I can to return the lake to the mages."declared Riven.
"Nice to know." noted Cornelia as she made her peace with the Landgraab. Riven and jane stood near the floating hourglass.
"Ready?" asked Jane as Sierra chanted her spell and Jane touched the hourglass. Then BLue light enveloped their bodies.
"Take us back to the lake.."whispered Jane as they disappeared from the grotto. Lizzie plopped down the soft grass after she parked her bike by a tree. She wanted to get some rest after that long drive of hers.
"Mt. Glyndwyr is so beautiful."she murmured as she checked out the surroundings. Then she heard the osund of horse hooves trotting. the next thing she knew that there was a horse that was about to trample her.
She screamed as the rider steered his horse on time. "What was that? Where'd you come from?"asked Lizzie as she got up to face the rider.
"You can se--"the rider asked as he got down from his horse.
"I'm sorry..I wasnt able to see you, Miss-"he inquired. "Croft, Elizabeth Croft."said Lizzie as she introduced herself.
" I'm William Dashwood. I'm sorry again..are you lost here? Would you like me to take you back to your camp?" offered the blond guy.
"It's okay, I can go home by yourself. You have a real nice horse.."noted Lizzie.
"I rented it at the foot of the mountain." replied William.
"Oh yeah, I rented a bike there, Too bad I dont know how to ride them." moaned Lizzie. "If you like I could teach you."suggested William.
"Really? That'll be nice. I've always wanted to ride horses. Oh, anyway I've got to go, my sister will be worried about me." said Lizzie when she noticed she's been gone for two hours already.
The two swapped mobile phone numbers. Lizzie hopped in her bike.
"I camp at Livingston Lake. Hope to see you soon."said Lizzie as she rode off.
William noded his head.
"See you." Back in their camp, Jane was pacing back and forth as Riven watched her.
"Where is she?"asked Jane as she folded her arms.
"She's going to be fine.."assured Riven.
"But she's been gone for 8 hours already!It's almost sunset! Where could she be? Do you think Lucretia could have..?"thought Jane as she cringed.
I knew I shouldn't have let her go alone.
"We have to find her!" Jane
"Uh..guys, the food's ready. Time for us to eat. Has anyone seen Lizzie?" inquired Henry.
"That's it, we have to find her. Riven come on. She could eb in danger those ghouls!" said Jane as she dragged her boyfriend.
"Ghouls? Wait..what areyou talking about?"asked Henry as he looked at Jane's eyes.
'Dont tell me you told our sister the secret?! Does your boyfrined know too?!"he asked.
'"Look Henry, I know you dont want to be involved with these ghouls or by being a mage anymore but let's face it, there's no way we can escape our duties. It's in our blood Henry. The ghouls are on the move again, they want to free Vittorio from his seal. we're the only ones who can stop them brother, and I wont let my daddy's death be in vain! I wont let them free Vittorio!"stated Jane. henry was stunned.
"She's right you know. Anyway, we have to go look for Lizzie, it's getting dark." added Riven as Emma joined them.
"Is Lizzie in trouble? I've been calling her a while ago and her phone is out of service. Isnt the signal in this mountain strong?"Emma said worriedly.
"Come on guys, let's go."said Jane.
"Wait, I'm coming with you this time! Dad will never forgive me if something happens to any of you of two."said Henry as he motioned to his sister.
"But first we have to go tell mom. She'll keep Alice occupied. After that, I want to know about everything that you guys have been keeeping from me so far."
Jane smiled. "Sure." she retorted.
The four exchange glances. Right now, looking for Lizzie is their priority. Where could she be?
