Yay! New chapter! Wonder what happened to Lizzie..
Hmm..I like this pic! For those who are new, please read the previous chapter to fully understand the story.
I would like to thank the creators of the CC used here and those readers who continued to read this. This story is nearing it's end, hope you'll continue to watch out for it.
The Croft family and friends went for a beark at Mt. Gylndwyr and camped at Livingston Lake. At the end of the day however, Lizzie didn't return to their camp. Her sister organized a search for her, will she be found? What happened to her?

The Croft family and friends went for a beark at Mt. Gylndwyr and camped at Livingston Lake. At the end of the day however, Lizzie didn't return to their camp. Her sister organized a search for her, will she be found? What happened to her? "Henry,where are we anyway?"whined Jane as henry checked their surroundings through his binoculars.
"Oh great, it's raining.."grumbled Jane as she felt the rain suddenly poured.
"We're not lost, see, there's over here."pointed Riven as he pointed to a large manor in fron of them. Emma turned to the gate of a huge house.
"How come there's a house in the middle of yhe mountain?"she inquired.
"it's one of the vacation houses my uncle built in Mt. Glyndwyr. He rents it to tourists or to anyone who wants to take a retreat here."explained Riven.
"It's big..old and scary.."whispered Emma.
"I hope it's warm and cozy.."mumbled Henry.
"But what about Lizzie?"asked Jane as she worried for her missing sister.
"We need to get some shelter and dry ourselves first..we'll try to phone her from there. It's already dark!"said Henry as Emma and Riven agreed. "Fine.."grumbled Jane as HEnry approached the gates and rang the bell. A dark haired man peered from his window and saw his four unexpected visitors.
"What are you doing out in the rain?"he asked them.
"We're lost in the mountains..can we get some shelter?"called Riven from the gates.
"Of course!"replied the man as he rushed to open the gates. Not long the four settled down in the manor's living room. Jane glanced around the room. The manor was huge and the dark haired man who introduced himself as Lemuel Duval lived alone here.
"This house is pretty old. Why do you live here alone?"she asked.
"I'm a writer, I only rented this place so I can get an inspiration for my next story. "replied Lemuel as he lighted the fireplace. "How about you, how come you got lost?" he asked.
"We were hiking in the mountains when it rained."blurted Jane as she gave Riven and Emma sharp looks.
"So..why this house for your inspiration?"asked Jane as she tired to shift the subject.
"This manor houses a tragic tale of two lovers, Odessa Demetriar and Raphael Crista."he started. "Really?"asked jane as Emma giggled.
"Why what happened?"inquired Jane as Henry was trying to reach Lizzie's phone.
"This manor's name is Demetriar Crista.10 years ago,This manor was a gift from Raphael's uncle to the lovers who were hoping to start a life together. the night before their wedding, the couple held a ball. IN the middle of the ball, Odessa discovered that Raphael was cheating on her with another woman. Odessa was heartbrokened and she ran away into the woods. She was never seen again. Some say, she died with a broken heart, others say she foun someone else and Raphael ended up with the blond."told Lemuel.
"Um excuse me."said Henry as he cutted in the discussion. "Jane, I still cant reach Lizzie." he whispered.
"Then we have to keep on looking for her.."insisted Jane.
"But it's still raining. DOnt worry, I've called Alice and Laura. They'll report to the rangers. We'll continue our search for Lizzie when the rain settles in." statedHenry.
Jane puted. "Fine, I hope she's safe."
"If she's as strong as you told me, then she'll be all right. We must learn to trust her." assured Henry.
Emma raised her hand and turned to Lemuel.
"Can you give us a tour in the house?"she asked.
"Or get some snacks?"inquired Riven.
lemuel laughed and noded his head. He was glad to have some company. Lemuel showed Riven the kitchen. Riven helped himself in the kitchen as lemuel toured Emma and Henry to the different rooms.
"This one is the music room. Odessa was said to be a music lover. She loved to compose her own songs in this piano."he stated as Emma rushed to the mirror to check herself out. Henry then noticed a large framed picture hung in one of the walls. It was the picture of the lovers, Raphael had long ebony hair which was tied back into a ponytail while Odessa had rich red locks. Raphael stood by and watched silently as his lover perfomred in the piano.Henry peered at the picture closely.
'They look a lot like Riven and Jane.' he thought ot himslef then laughed at the similarity. "The notes here are handwritten, were these composed by Odessa?"asked Henry as he checked the musical sheet.
"Ah yes, Mr. Landgraab didn't bother to renovate this house that much when he acquired this manor." replied Lemuel as Emma let her wet hair loose to dry up.
Lemuel turned to leave the room.
"Go ahead and make yourselves feel at home. I'll go check Riven in the kitchen. " he told them as Emma turned to Henry.
"I heard from Jane that you're a musiclover as well."she noted as Henry sat in the piano.
He studied the old sheet then started to play as Emma watched and listened.
"Hey,it sounds pretty good!" praised Emma when the lights suddenly flickered and turned off.
"Uh..henry..what's going on?"asked Emma but HEnry didn't seem to hear her.
"Henry?"whispered Emma when she noticed light shimmering behind HEnry. Then a red haired woman, wearing a golden venecian mask and in a white laced gown slowly appeared.
"Henry!"called Emma when Henry snapped out from the music's trance. The red haired lady then disappeared as Henry stopped playing. He felt tired and wanted to rest in that piano. "Something wrong?" he asked Emma.
Emma shook her head. "Maybe it was just one of my visions..I'm having a head ache!"moaned Emma as she fanned herself. Jane was warming herself back at the fireplace while listening to Henry playing the piano. She was poking around the logs when the music stopped and she felt a cold draft blow by. Then Jane felt a soft tap in her nape. "Jane?"asked Riven as he entered the room. Jane shook her head and snapped out from her daze.
"I've made us some snacks.." he told her as Jane turned to Riven.
"I'm not hungry..um..can we step outside? I dont feel so good.."she moaned as she shook her head again.
"Sure.."said Riven as he and Jane went to the back of the manor. Emma on the other hand wasn't feeling so well.
"Em?"inquired Henry worriedly.
Emma started to feel sick as different flashes hit her head. She saw a ball,and several masked persons dancing. Then her visions focused on a lady in a white gown.
"She's the one..I saw earlier.."she rasped. Then her vision shifted to that lady, outside the ball and crying in the rain.
"Is it possible..Odessa..?" gasped Emma as she looked closer at her visions.
"Oh no..Oh no...Where's Riven and Jane?!"she demaned to Henry all of a sudden. Then Lemuel passed by the two.
"Mr. Duval, where's Riven and Jane?"she asked.
"Outside, why?"inquired MR. Duval.
"HAve you ever seen Odessa's ghost around here?Is this plpace haunted?How did Odessa die?"she asked all of a sudden as Henry scratched her head.
"I dont know.."whispered Lemuel who was just as confused as well.
"Look,Odessa's spirit is still lingering in this manor. And I have a feeling that Riven and Jane are in trouble since they look so much like the lovers.."started Emma as Henry started to realize something as well. "Jane! I thought you were ill?"called Riven as Jane started splashing and playing around the rain.
"It's been so long..to feel the rain.." giggled jane. "Jane!" called Riven as Jane turned to Riven. She grabbed his hand and teased.
"Come on scaredy cat, why wont you join me?"she said as she pulled Riven into the rain.
"Are you sure, your'e okay to play around now? What about Lizzie?"inquired Riven.
"Come on dance with me here!"she chuckled as Riven wrapped his arms around Jane and the two started to slow dance in the rain.
"you have no idea how much I've missed this." said Jane as she leaned her head at Riven's shoulder. "Will you be mine?"asked Jane as she leaned to give Riven a kiss. Riven felt his spine tingle and felt a cold vapor enter him.
"Riven stop!"screamed Emma. She, HEnry and Lemuel were running outside.
"That's not Jane! That's Odessa! She's possessed Jane! I saw it!"cried Emma. jane broke free from the kiss then glared at Emma. She looked at Emma closely. "How dare you Raphael! Until now, you still prefer this blonde over me?!"she yelled as Riven paced backward.
He remembered Lemuel's story.
'It can't be.."gasped Riven as Emma tugged henry's arm."You're a mage!Do something!Cast a spell!"screamed Emma
'I'm not Raphael!" said Riven.
Jane/Odessa was crossed. The wind became colder.
"Liar! I know that face! How could you!" she continued.
"She's mistaken Riven for Raphael!" exclaimed Lemuel as Henry breathed in. He tried to recall what his father used to teach him. Although his inborn ablitlity is healing, he's learned plenty of spells from his father. But this time he didn't have a wand. He turned to Jane/Odessa. he formed seals from his hand as if it was his wand. "Leave my sister alone!"he declared. The rain stopped, then Jane fell down to the ground. A beautiful red haired appeared. She glared at Riven then at Henry and the others.
"So you're magical as well?"she asked as she disappeared.Riven quickly helped Jane up.
"Where did she go?"asked Lemuel as Emma pointed at the roof. "Raphael! You shall pay!"she screamed as the rain was suddenly replaced by snow.
"Oh no..she's magical too."whispered Emma.
"A magical, and vengeful ghost..."whispered Henry as the snowstorm got stronger. Lizzie was riding in her bicycle when she felt the rain.
'Uh oh.."she piped as she saw her camp.
"Finally, I hope they left me some lunch."She grumbled as she parked her bike near one of their tents. She looked around, it was dark and rain.
"What a rain.."she grumbled as she saw her mom exiting from her tent.
"Lizzie! Where have you bee?!"she cried . Laura then ran to embrace her daughter.
"Uh..huh?"she asked.
"Why were you gone for so long?"asked Laura.
"BUt it was just a half day's trip?See I'm back for lunch!"said Lizzie.
'Half a day?Lizzie, it's 8pm! Your siblings went looking for you since sunset!"scolded Laura.
Lizzie blinked her eyes.
"What?!"she squealed in this belief.
"They told me everything, about Lucretia..Vittorio..the ghouls..I'm so sorry I kept everything from you,Lizzie."started Laura then paused to think. She remembered that that they were in Livingston Lake.
"Lizzie, who did you meet in the woods?"she inquired. "No one really,oh, except that cute blond named William...why?"asked Lizzie.
"William..oh great!"moaned Laura as she remembered her husband's friends."Lizzie, you accidentally wondered into a fay's realm. William..he's a fay-a prince! One of your father's allies. The realm between fay and human are different. A couple of minutes with William was several human hours!"
"But..he was young..he didn't look like fay!"noted Lizzie.
"The fays can look like us if they wish..we so need to call the others to return here."said Laura when Lizzie felt her head ahche. Flashes of her siblings trap in snow hit her head all of a sudden.
"They're in trouble..they can't return here yet."whispered Lizzie as Laura turned to her daughter.
"I need to help them.."said Lizzie as she thought of the medallion. Maybe it could help her fight agaisnt the snowstorm. She decided that she needed to go home first, get the medallion and scry for them using the waters from the cauldron (as Emma taught her).
"Mom, ca you keep Alice busy, I need to help them. They're in trouble."said Lizzie. "But, you're siblings just went to look for you.."said Laura.
"I know they're in trouble.Mom, just trust me. You have no idea what I can do now."said Lizzie as she teleported away. As the blue lights started to fade away, Laura remembered something. She closed her eyes as she remembered her late husband's emerald eyes.
They were the same as Lizzie's.
'Just trust me.' her husband used to tel her.
"Richard..please watch over them.."whispered Laura. The manor's dorr are frozen, we can't get in.."said Henry as he triend to yank the dorr open.
"Riven!Are you all right?"asked jane as she saw her boyfriend shivering.
Emma and lemuel turned at the smirking spirit still in the roof.
'We need to get Riven inside.."said Lemuel.
"Or convince the spirit that he's not Raphael!"suggested Emma. Then Odessa disappeared from the roof and appeared behind Rive.
"Mind if i take him inside?"teased Odessa as she and Riven were enveloped in bright pink and blue lights. As the ligths disappeared so did the two.
"Riven!"chorused the jane and Emma. They rushed to the frozen door.
"HEnry, anything?"asked Emma as Henry shook his head.
"I cant perform much spells without my wand.."he whispered as Jane buried her hands in her face.
"Oh no..Riven.."she said as her voice trembled.
First Lizzie then Riven? What does that ghost plan to do with her lover anyway? Then blue lights started to luminate in front of them.
"Oh no! Is it the ghost again?!"cried Lemuel as the rest gasped or prepared themselves. When Jane noted the silhouette.She smiled. "Lizzie! Where'd you?How'd you?!Is that you?!"blurted Jane as the lights faded away.
"Long story..I'll tell you what happened to me later. So what's going on? I was able to see what Emma saw a while ago and realized you needed help."said Lizzie.
"We're in a haunted manor and the lovely ghost has iven inside, who knows what she plans to do with him!"explained Lemuel.
"And you are?"asked Lizzie to the unfamiliar face. "He's Lemuel Duval, a writer who's renting the manor.
Anyway this ground is freezing we need to get some shelter and get to Riven but the doors as frozen solid." said Jane as Lemuel asked "How do we stop that ghost? She's dead!"
Wait, ghosts are spirits with unfinished business right? Why do you think she's here?"asked Henry.
"It has something to do with the mystery of her death..but what?"murmured Lemuel as Emma noted "She first appeared when Henry played the notes from the piano.." "Perhaps that song..her song awakened her long lingering spirit..did you get to finish the song?"asked Lemuel.
"No.."retorted Henry.
"Okay, that settle's it. We'll go save Riven as Henry must go and finish the song, maybe she'll disappear after that?"thought Lizzie.
"Worth a try.."whispered Jane. Lizzie turned to Jane.
"Jane I need you in this one. We need to blow or unfreeze this door to open."said Lizzie.
"Uh..huh?"asked Jane as Herny knew what his younger sister wanted to do. He ushered Emma and Lemuel away from the door.
"I know you don't want to use your powers, but..this is for Riven.."pleaded Lizzie as Jane looked at her hands. She breathed then stood beside her sister. "Fine.."she said as she formed a ball of flame from her hands. Lizzie smiled then did the same.
"Ready?"asked Lizzie as Jane did her best to control her flames.
"Yeah..ready."announced Jane as the sisters raised their hands. Each sister then directed their flames towards the frozen door.
"Leave my Riven alone!"screamed Jane as their flames chraged at the door. Riven fell into the ground as he felt his body freezing. His skin turned to a grayish hue, as if he was frostburned. "I-I' not Raphael.."he while shivering. Odessa smile then floated towards Riven. Riven froze into the spot as he felt cold ice touch his cheeks as Odessa caressed him. She may look solid but she's a ghost all right.
"But you look so much like him.."sighed Odessa as she gazed at Riven. "What do you want from me?"asked Riven as his voice trembled.
"Your body will soon freeze..not even your firends can save you. Finally I shall have some company here." said Odessa as she floated around the room.
"How about-finding your inner peace?HOw about going to the light instead?Crossing over?"asked Riven as Odessa shook her head.
"What have you done with him?"boome a voice. Odessa stood up and spinned to her side, it was that red-haired and a friend. The two red haired eyed each other. It was like almost looking to a mirror.
"Must I finish you too?"asked the angry (kalag) spirit.
"Lizzie.."said Jane as she folded her arms.
"My pleasure."sasid Lizzie as she raised her arms.
Odessa found herself being lifted off the floor.
"Ghost or no ghost, you're not immune to my ability."smiled Lizzie as she threw the ghost out of the room. Henry, Emma and Lemuel rushed to the music room as they saw the ghost hitting the ground. Jane quickly turned ro her beloved who was pale and weakening. The spirit got herself up. She was unharmed but starled at the unfamiliar raven-haired's ability.
"Too late! you will never save him." she said. "Rivenn can you hear me?"asked JAne as she tried to lift her lover up to stand.
"I--I'm free-free-freezing.."uttered Riven as he embraced Jane.
"No..I wont lose you.."said Jane as LIzzie looked on helplessy.
"There has to be.."she whispered as she clutched her medallion. Jane closed her eyes, she wanted to cry but instead she leaned herself and give Riven a warm kiss. Then all of a sudden Riven felt Jane's flames melt Odessa's frost in his body. His strength was restored and his skins flushed with color again.
Lizzie beamed and clasped her arms.
"Jane's ability is flames while Odessa's ice and snow..it seems that her kiss melted Odessa's frozen kiss!"she exclaimed. Emma peeked through the music room as Henry plyaed the notes. The music filled the room and alos leaked out in the halls where Odessa's spirit was standing. "No.."whispered Odessa as she enviously looked at the two lovers. Then the haunting music that she composed reached her ears. She closed her eyes and listened to its melody. Memories of the past flooded through her.
Her beloved Raphael, the night before the ball, witnessing Raphael's betrayal. They all flashed backed to her.
"NOw I know how I died..I know why I'm here.."she whispered. She eyed the couple once again. her gaze focused on Riven. "Raphael..."she cooed lovinlgy as she remembered her beloved. She lost her lover because someone stole it from her, she was about to do the same with Riven. .No! She wouldn't stoop down as low as that blond who stole her Rapahel!
"You are not mine.."she whispered as she faded away , just in time as the music ended.
"We did it!"sighed lemuel."Anyone for a hot coco?"he asked as the rest were relieved then gave a laugh. ********************************************************
"I'd miss having company here. But it's back to work for me. NOw if only we knew the mystery of Odessa's death, it'll make a great story!"noted Lemuel as he prepared his guest soem hot chocolate in the kitchen with JAne. The snow stil hasn't stopped outside. henry and Riven were at the living room, Henry was calling Laura that they'd be coming home. Emma and Lizzie were in the music room fixing their hairs.
"That's a mystery for now. You should visit our camp tomorrow."offered Jane as Emma and Lizzie entered the kitchen. Emma tapped Lemuel's back.
"That smells heavenly!"she said as she sniffed the air when a vision flashed before her. Emma saw Odessa and a dark haired man in a dark room.
'Lemuel!No! I though you were a friend..'screamed Odessa who was bound in a chair. A masked Lemuel stood rubbing his hands and giving a menacing laugh.
'Raphael help me..'piped Odessa as the vision ended.
"You! You have something to do with Odessa ten years ago!"screamed Emma as she pointed at Lemuel. Lizzie and Jane exchanged glances.
"Tsk..tsk..you've learned too much."said LEmuel as he threw a green object at the floor. the object emitted a nasty green smoke that the 3 ladies inhaled.
"No.."piped Lizzie as she was about to raise her arms but found herself too weak to do so.
Then the 3 ladies found themselves going dizzy. The 3 dropped to the ground and were out cold. The gas wasn't fatal, they were merely asleep. He still needed them after all.
Lemuel grinned.
"Two mages, the medallion and a magical blonde whom just what I need. Lady Lucretia shall be pleased."he said as he gave a luagh.
'Now to take care of the boys.."he mumbled as he eyed two knight statues that stood in the halls.
"Hmm..."he thought.
