Warning: this is shounen-ai, BL and that's all (nothing serious, just PG13) Things didn’t go so well those days…

Halo and Stan argued with each other almost every days and it started to make the other family members worry. And that day was the same…

_ I love you, brother. But I don't want to see you ruin yourself like this. – Stan frowned, looking at his brother.

_ No one is going to ruin themselves, Stan. Don't you see it? Raven maybe is an evil warlock but he is a good man! Why don't you just see the other side of the matter?

_ What if he had something to do with those attacks? And why a good man would choose to follow the path of darkness?

_ If Raven wanted to harm me, he would have done it a long time ago! Wasn't it easier when we were in a same apartment?

_ Maybe he just wants to wait for a right opportunity!

_ Your words are full of doubt and uncertain... you don't even sure if he was actually involved in those attacks. Getting hurt is what you're afraid of, for you are more sensitive than you look. You deny everything that may become a threat to you and your family, it is why you refuse to see the truth…

_ …for the truth have I seen clearly. You're undoubtedly crazy about this man, and this love had blind you so, my brother. Hear me, for I shall never open my arms to welcome a dark magic user to our family! Stan stomped out of the room, leaving Halo alone in his room. Halo sat on the floor, Stan's words dancing in his mind.

what had he done wrong? Who would he choose? The man he loved most, or the brother that always stayed by his side?

How long had he sat there? Halo had no idea. He slowly stood up and went out of the house. At times like these, Halo just wished to see some people, yes, some little peace shall he receive when he spent time with them… Halo took out his broom and flew to the graveyard, not noticing his grandson Kralask stood there, sighing. The teenager never wanted to see his relatives fighting like that… not at all. _ It's okay, Grace… your father will be fine. – Stan said as he put his hand on his worrying nephew's shoulder.

_ Are you two arguing about Raven?

_ Yeah, sort of… Anyway, tell Matilda and Tank not to worry, 'kay?

Grace didn't reply, he slightly nodded then went out of the kitchen. Suddenly, Stan stopped his nephew by asking him a question:

_ Grace, what do you think about Raven?

Grace stopped for moment, frowning, thinking to find a suitable word:

_ I don’t know, uncle… he seems to be a good man. But I couldn't be certain about that…

_ I see… thanks anyway, Grace. Grace nodded and closed the door behind him.

Stan stood there alone, lower his head. The kitchen somehow became bigger than usual… for he could feel the cold wind dancing around him. _ Mother, father, what should I do now? Raven is who I love, but I can't abandon my family at this time.

Halo kneeled down on the ground, with his hands knitted together, praying.

_ Maybe I should have the two talking with each other? And I will not let them argue again. Stan will understand… I hope so.

Halo looked at his mother's grave, whispering.

Every things would be fine. This was not the first time the two brothers argued, Halo had scolded Stan many times when they were in the dormitory of La Fiesta Tech University, mostly because of Stan's stubborness and his hot temper.

But this time was different, they argued because of someone else, and that person was the one who claimed Halo's heart.

After made up his mind, Halo stood up and looked at the sky, it was getting dark. Taking out his broom, Halo quickly flew home. Night had come when Halo reached home, he saw Stan getting in his car, ready to drive to work. Stan had a nice job, his painting skill had helped him to claim a high position in Art career. Halo watched as the white car drove off, carrying his brother away.

…Away from him.

What if one day Halo found this parking place empty?

What if his brother never returned?

And what if … ?

What was he thinking? Stan would not let him alone like that, things would be fine, they would try to settle down the matter. And Stan would remain his little brother… Midnight,…

The white car slowly appeared and returned to its rightful place. Stan got out of his car and headed to his room. Everybody had retreated to their rooms and had been sleeping.

Quickly changed his clothes, Stan started as he heard some weird noises in the kitchen.

Stan slowly went downstairs, trying not to make any noises. A burglar? It could be… Stan though as he was ready to teach the intruder a lesson. Slowly open the kitchen door, Stan saw a shadow, he couldn't see clearly who the intruder was. He reached to the switch and turned the lights on.

And there, standing near the window, with his hand waving hello to Stan…

…was "something" Stan had not seen before.
