Thank you so much for your support!
Thank you so much for your support! _ Lia!
Minus yelled as he saw his wife lying on the ground with her eyes shut tight. Eric, Charles and Jill quickly ran out of their rooms as they heard Minus's voice.
_ Oh my god, what happened?
Jill petrified when she saw Lia. Eric approached his sister and checked on her.
_ She's still breathing, thank goodness…
_ Is she sleeping? – Charles asked.
Eric gently patted Lia's face, trying to wake her up:
_ Lia, lia! Wake up, little sis!
But everything he received was Lia's silent breath.
_ She didn't wake up… Lia was cursed. – Eric concluded.
_ By who? An evil wizard? – Charles asked with shock.
Eric examined his sister a while, then he looked up:
_ This spell… I had no idea. We can't just let her lie here, let's move her to the bed. Minus held his wife, while Charles opened the door for him. Jill worriedly follow them, she felt tears in her eyes. Eric looked at his sister, wondering what kind of spell was that.
A spell that made people fall asleep and never woke up.
Minus gently laid his wife on the bed and stood next to her, he couldn't move his eyes away from the unconscious witch.
_ Will she be okay? – Jill worriedly asked.
_ At least she's still breathing… - Eric replied.
_ Argh! I couldn't believe it! I couldn't believe this would happen to our sister! – Charles angrily groaned.
Minus didn't say anything, his eyes fixed on Lia. He did not know who did this to his wife, and he did not know how to save her, either.
Minus felt powerless… and ashamed since he couldn't save the woman he loved. And even now, he couldn't do anything but depending on Eric and Charles, hoping that they would find a way to bring Lia back. Eric read every books about magic, trying to find a clue to free Lia from the dark curse. But sadly, he found none.
Eric sat on the armchair, gazed into the empty space. Every curses had cures, he just needed to find the right one.
_ Who would do this to Lia?
Charles groaned. Jill stood next to him, watching her husband. Jill knew Charles very well, she knew that Charles was blaming himself for not being able to protect his sister. Jill liked Lia, she herself was very worried when seeing her friend like this, but her heart ached as she saw her husband blaming himself like that.
_ Everything will be fine, my love. Eric will find the cure soon. You said that he was a very talented warlock, did you not? Charles looked at his wife. Yes, that's right..! Eric was a talented warlock, he will soon find the cure. If he could not, then Halo could, for Halo was the best warlock of the seven siblings.
Lia wasn't dead, she was only sleeping. Hope still remained.
Charles thought as he embraced his wife.
Yes, everything would be fine…
Minus looked at his wife, the unconscious witch. He didn't drink any water, nor sitting at a solar light like usual when the night came. For a plantsim, water and sun were important. But for Minus, Lia was the most important person in his life. Eric spent the whole night trying to find the cure, helping him was Charles. Time was growing short, the sun was ready to show up.
_ We couldn't do this… we need to call Halo and Stan, those two will know what to do. – Charles sighed.
Eric, being the smartest one of the siblings, hated depending on his big brothers, despite Halo was his idol, he preferred figure things out by himself. Especially Stan, he was neither the smartest like Eric nor the best like Halo, yet he was known as a talented warlock, his magic skill somehow surpassed Eric's. What could his brothers do if even Mr. Loner could not find the cure?
But they could not sit here and wait for the miracle to come, either.
Eric took out his phone and quickly called Halo:
_ Brother? We need you and Stan right now! Lia has been cursed! A few more minutes later and Halo appeared at Eric's house. Charles rushed out to greet him.
_ Brother, it's good to see you!
_ It's okay, Charles, I'm here. – Halo said as he hugged his brother back.
_ Where's Stan? – Charles looked around.
_ He had gone somewhere before Eric called us. He hasn't returned yet.
_ I see. Lia lied inside, come, brother! – Charles quickly led his brother to the house. Halo bent down and checked on his sister. This was the first time Halo could see clearly the dark spell.
_ Lia, can you hear me?
Halo spoke to his sister. But what he received was silence. Lia remained asleep. She looked so peaceful that no one would believe that she was cursed by a dark spell.
Halo opened the door and went outside. Eric came to his brother as soon as he saw him:
_ Brother?
_ Eric, I'm sorry to tell you that there's nothing I can do about this spell now. But I will not give up, I'll return home and try to find the cure. Hopefully I will come across one.
_ I've read every magic books, but I found none, brother. – Eric fixed his glasses.
_ Books are useless now, we need to try different methods. By mixing different potions, I believe we will come up something new. This curse is a new one, then we will develop a new cure for it. I'll tell Stan about Lia when he returns.
Halo stopped to think, then he continued:
_ Let's hope Mr. Loner return quickly… Stan quickly flew to the wizards leader's castle. Mr. Loner had many books and Stan believed he would find what he was looking for. Mr. Loner always said that all of the good wizards were welcome to use his library.
Stan stood before the huge door then suddenly someone came out and greeted him
_ I'm Mr. Loner's familiar and his assistant. I'm called Lux. My master is not home right now. Is there anything I can help you with?
Wizards' familiars were mostly cats. But there were a few familiars that could turn into human's form. And Lux was an example.
_ I wish to find some books.
_ Very well. Please, follow me.
Lux led Stan to Mr. Loner's library. There Stan started his searching. Lux curiously looked at the warlock and couldn't help but asking him a question:
_ May I ask what is it that you're looking for?
_ A long lost recipe of an ancient potion.
_ Could it be…?
_ Yes, a cure for lycanthropy.
