Chapitre 1 : A la recherche de l'Ayalaeth pourpre. Five years had passed since I fell into the trap of Vlad and Joanne. In order to overcome his own curse, Vlad had used his seduction to transform me into a vampire.

Malgré cette triste vie, depuis quelques temps je me remets à sourire. En effet, à plusieurs reprises j'ai aperçu Vlad et Joanne faire leur ménage eux-mêmes. La femme de ménage qui passait une fois par jour n'est plus revenue depuis que Vlad a cessé de la payer. La famille Blood a fini par dilapider tout leur argent et ils n'ont maintenant presque plus rien pour vivre. Vlad was even obliged to find a job. Every morning, a guy in a car comes and picks Vlad up to drive him to work. What forfeiture for him who wanted to become more powerful than a god! As for Artemus, he has started to cook. But what brings me real happiness is to see that the relations between Vlad and Joanne have greatly degraded. I often hear them arguing.

Vlad a même été dans l'obligation de trouver un travail. Tous les matins, un type dans une voiture minable vient le chercher pour l'emmener au travail. Quelle déchéance pour lui qui voulait devenir plus puissant qu'un dieu ! Quant à Artémus, il s'est mis à faire la cuisine. Mais ce qui me rend le plus heureuse, c'est de voir que les relations entre Vlad et Joanne se sont fortement dégradées. Souvent, je les entends se disputer. She brought back to life again the poor guy that she had killed five years ago. Now, she orders him to do all the house cleaning and treats him as a slave. I am outraged by these methods, especially as on several occasions I found the man sleeping on the ground, exhausted by his tasks.

Joanne a trouvé une façon de ne plus être obligée de faire le ménage elle-même. Elle a de nouveau rendu la vie au pauvre type qu'elle avait tué il y a cinq ans de cela. Maintenant, elle l'oblige à s'occuper de la maison et le traite en esclave. One evening, as Artemus was preparing diner, he started a fire in the kitchen. From my hiding place, I watched him and laughed as he was panicking. Happily (or unhappily), a fireman arrived swiftly and stopped this pleasant show.

Un soir, alors qu'Artémus préparait le dîner, il mit le feu à la cuisine. De ma cachette, je l'observais en riant, alors qu'il paniquait. Heureusement (ou malheureusement), un pompier arriva promptement et mit fin à ce plaisant spectacle. As I came back to my floor, I saw a strange lady standing in front of my coffin. Her skin was blue and transparent, like she was a ghost. How weird!

Alors que je revenais à mon étage, je vis une femme étrange qui se tenait devant mon cercueil. Sa peau était d'un bleu transparent comme si elle était un fantôme. Comme cela était bizarre ! I came closer and kept on staring at her while asking:
"Who are you?"

Je m'approchais et tout en continuant à la dévisager, je demandais :
"Qui êtes-vous ?" "Don't you recognize me?" she replied.
"My god!" I said suddenly. "Kitty! Is that you?!"
"Yes, my child! I'm Kitty."
I felt in her arms and whispered :
"Oh! I'm so happy to see you!"

"Ne me reconnais-tu pas ?" répondit-elle.
"Oh mon dieu !" dis-je soudainement. "Kitty c'est vous ?"
"Oui, mon enfant. Je suis Kitty."
Je tombais dans ses bras en murmurant :
"Oh ! Je suis si contente de vous revoir !" "But I don't understand." I went on. "Are you a... ghost ?"
"In a way, yes," she answered. "As you remember, Joanne killed me five years ago. I'm not allowed to tell you what happened next. You'll see it for yourself when the time comes for you to die. But today, let's say that I'm allowed to help you."

"Mais, je ne comprend pas." continuais-je."Etes-vous un... fantôme ?"
"D'une certaine manière, oui." répondit-elle. "Comme tu t'en souviens, Joanne m'a assassiné, il y a cinq ans de cela. Je ne suis pas autorisée à te dire ce qu'il s'est passé ensuite. Tu verras par toi-même quand l'heure de ta mort sera venue. Mais aujourd'hui, disons que j'ai reçu l'autorisation de t'aider." "The problem is that if you want revenge, you'll have to do things you dislike." she continued. "What do you think, Horrorra? Are you ready to become a 'bad girl' yourself?"
I must confess I hesitated to answer, but after some minutes of intense thinking I replied to her:
"Look what I am now! A vampire! Yes, Kitty. I am ready!"

"Le problème est que si tu souhaites te venger, tu devras faire des choses que tu n'apprecie pas." continua-t-elle. "Qu'en penses-tu Horrora. Es-tu prête à devenir 'la méchante' à ton tour ?"
Je dois avouer que j'hésitais à répondre, mais après quelques secondes d'intenses réflexions, je lui dis :
"Regardez ce que je suis maintenant ! Un vampire ! Oui, Kitty, je suis prête !" "Perfect !" she said. "We will both get revenge. But for this, we need some help. We must find a wonderful and very rare flower : the crimson Ayalaeth."
"I never heard of this flower" I said.
"I know !" Kitty said laughing. "I was an herbalist and I never heard of it either ! But I met someone... other there ! Someone who knows about that flower."

"Parfait !" dit-elle. "Nous obtiendrons notre revanche toutes les deux. Mais pour cela, nous avons besoins d'aide. Nous devons trouver une fleur merveilleuse mais très rare : l'Ayalaeth pourpre."
"Je n'ai jamais entendu parler de cette fleur" dis-je.
"Je sais !" dit Kitty en riant. "J'étais moi-même herboriste et je n'en ai jamais entendu parler non plus ! Mais là où je suis maintenant, j'ai rencontré quelqu'un ! Quelqu'un qui connaît cette fleur." "And where can we find this crimson Ayal... something ?" I asked.
"I don't know." she replied. "This is why the very first thing you have to do is to contact the lady who told me about that flower."
"How ? Isn't she dead ?"
"Yes she is. You'll have to use this device" she said while showing me the awfull thing that was in the middle of the room.
"NO ! Not that thing ! Joanne used it on my father ! I can't ! It's too ... Oh I hate this object !"

"Et où puis-je trouver cette Ayal... truc ?" demandais-je.
"Je l'ignore." répondit-elle. "C'est pourquoi la première chose que tu dois faire est d'entrer en contact avec la femme qui m'a parlé de cette fleur."
"Comment ? N'est-elle pas morte ?"
"Oui, elle l'est. Tu devras donc utiliser cet objet" dit-elle en me montrant l'horrible chose qui était en plein milieu de la pièce.
"NON ! Pas ce truc ! Joanne l'a utilisé sur mon père ! Je ne peux pas ! C'est trop ... Oh je déteste cet objet !" "Yes I know, my child." Kitty said. "The choice is only yours. I must leave you now. I am not allowed to stay too long ! I'll come back tomorrow night."
And she suddenly disappeared in front of my eyes, leaving me alone with my thoughts.

"Oui, je sais mon enfant." dit Kitty. "Toi seule peut prendre cette décision. Je dois partir maintenant. Je ne suis pas autorisée à rester longtemps ! Je reviendrais demain soir."
Et soudainement elle disparut sous mes yeux, me laissant seule avec mes pensées. Miles away from Horrora, a young man who was sleeping on a coach woke up.

A des kilomètres d'Horrora, un jeune homme qui dormait sur un canapé se réveille. "Another boring day ! " he sighed. Nothing to do except to try to find a boring job to earn enough
money to buy those boring cereals! What a boring life!"

"Encore une autre de ces stupides journées !" soupira-t-il. "Rien à faire à part trouver un stupide travail pour gagner suffisamment d'argent pour acheter ces stupides céréales que je manges ! Quelle vie stupide !" "Well ! Let's try to find a job." he said while opening the newspaper.
He selected several advertisements and started to call. Unfortunately, all the phone calls ended the same way:
"Sorry ! You don't suit the job !"

"Bien ! Essayons de trouver un job." dit-il en ouvrant le journal.
Malheureusement, tous les coups de fil qu?il passât se terminèrent de la même façon.
"Désolé ! Vous ne correspondez pas au profil que nous recherchons !" Until...
"What ? Do you agree ? " he said delighted. "Yes, of course we can meet before I work for you."

Jusqu'à ce que...
"Quoi ? Vous acceptez ?" s'exclama-t-il radieux. "Oui, bien sûr, nous pouvons nous rencontrer avant que je commence à travailler pour vous." This is how the young man met Vlad.

"J'ai désespérément besoin de quelqu'un pour faire mon ménage", commença Vlad."Voyez-vous, ma famille a récemment eu de gros problèmes. Ma femme et mon fils sont malades, un voleur nous a cambriolé, nous avons perdu un être cher, j'ai eu un accident de voiture... et... et?
mais, je ne vais pas tout vous raconter. Sachez juste que j'ai besoin de quelqu'un pour m'aider. Je suis désespéré ! " The young man listened to Vlad complaining about his life, without showing him he actually didn't care. Vlad went on :
"If you accept to work for me, I won't be able to pay you much, but you can live in my house if you want ! By the way, what is your name ?"
"My name is Ilan." the young man answered. "I come from a distant land."
"Oh ! This explains your... look !" said Vlad hesitating.

Le jeune homme écouta Vlad se plaindre sur ses conditions de vie, sans lui montrer à quel point il n'en avait en fait rien à faire. Après un bref instant, Vlad reprit :
"Si vous acceptez de travailler pour moi, je ne serais pas en mesure de beaucoup vous payer. Par contre, vous pourrez vivre chez moi si vous le souhaitez ! Au fait, quel est votre nom ?"
"Je m'appelle Ilan." répondit le jeune homme. "Je viens d'un lointain pays."
"Oh! Cela explique donc votre... look !" fit Vlad hésitant. "Well Ilan !" Vlad went on. "What is your answer ?"
To his own surprise, Ilan answered:
"I accept ! My situation is not better than yours anyway. We could help each other !"
"Perfect !" Vlad said happily. "I'll wait for you in my house tomorrow morning. This is my address."

"Hé bien, Ilan !" continua Vlad. "Quelle est votre réponse ?"
Et à sa propre surprise, Ilan répondit :
"J'accepte ! Ma situation n'est pas meilleure que la vôtre de toute façon. Nous pourrions nous entraider !"
"Parfait !" s'exclama Vlad avec joie. "Je vous attendrais demain matin chez moi. Voici l'adresse." Vlad left and Ilan stayed alone.
"At least, this day is less boring than the others" the young man thought. "After all, I finally found a job, though it's far from being wonderfull. I only hope I took the right decision, this guy is weird."
Without meaning to, he started to smile.
"I imagine he thinks I'm weird too ! It's very kind of him to have hired me, despite of my unusual look. Well, let's eat this sandwich ! It's the very last food I have. Tomorrow, let's hope I can start eating properly."

Vlad partit et Ilan resta seul.
"Cette journée aura été un peu moins déprimante que les autres" pensa le jeune homme. "Après tout, j'ai réussi à trouver du travail bien qu'il soit loin d'être merveilleux. J'espère avoir pris la bonne décision, ce type est un peu bizarre. "
Sans le vouloir, il se mit à sourire.
"J'imagine que lui aussi doit me trouvez bizarre ! C'est très gentil de sa part de m'avoir embauché malgré mon apparence peu commune. Allez mangeons ce sandwich. Demain, je pourrait manger correctement!" As the sun was getting down, I woke up. Kitty was already there, just beside the object I hated the most in the world.
"Have you made your decision Horrora ?" she asked.
"Yes." I whispered. "I took my decision. I'm going to use this... thing."

Alors que le jour était en train de se coucher, je me levais. Kitty était déjà là, à côté de l'objet que je déteste le plus au monde.
"As-tu pris ta décision Horrora ?" me demanda-t-elle.
"Oui." soupirais-je. "J'ai pris ma décision. Je vais utiliser cette... chose." "Perfect !" she said happily. "No need to wait, go on !"
It is with an extreme dislike that I took the phone.

I followed Kitty's instructions and gave the name of the lady that was supposed to help me becoming myself again.

Avec une angoisse non dissimulée, je vis apparaître le même nuage vert que j'avais vu il y a 5 ans de cela. La personne qui en était sortie à l'époque était mon père. Tout d'abord désorientée par son retour à la vie, la femme sourit en voyant Kitty et toutes les deux s'enlacèrent chaleureusement. "Well ! It's so nice to be alive again !" Laureline said. "But, why have you called me ?"
"We need your knowledge." Kitty replied. "You must tell us where to find the crimson Ayalaeth."
Instead of saying something, Laureline started to laugh.

"Eh bien cela fait plaisir d'être de nouveau en vie" s'exclama Laureline. "Mais au fait, pourquoi m'avez vous fait venir ?"
"Nous avons besoin de tes connaissances." répondit Kitty. "Tu dois nous dire où trouver l'Ayalaeth pourpre."
Pour toute réponse Laureline se mit à rire.rire. "My oh my !" Laureline said. "Do you really want to find the crimson Ayalaeth ? Well ! This definitly won't be an easy thing ! This is probably the rarest flower in the world ! And it is well guarded !"

"Mes pauvres enfants !" s'exclama Laureline. "Vous voulez essayer de trouver l'Ayalaeth pourpre ? Eh bien, vous n'êtes pas au bout de vos peines. C'est une des fleurs les plus rares au monde. Sans compter qu'elle est bien gardée ! " "But you have no choice Laureline !" Kitty objected. "We must find this flower. According to you, it's the only way for Horrora to get her revenge ! And as you know yourself, Vlad and Joanne disturbed some spirits and those spirits sent me here to help Horrora !"

And she told us everything we had to know to find this flower. The more I listened to her, the more I felt my heart sinking in an abyss of despair. This flower was very far from here and looking for it was leading to a lot of dangers !

Et elle nous expliqua tout ce dont nous devions savoir pour trouver cette fleur. Plus je l'écoutais et plus je sentais mon coeur sombrer dans un abîme de désespoir. Non seulement cette fleur ne pouvait se trouver qu'à un seul endroit loin d'ici, mais en plus, aller la chercher menait à bien des dangers ! Several hours later, Laureline left us. Now, Kitty and I knew all we needed to find the crimson Ayalaeth.
"Kitty !" I said angrily. "All this leads to nowhere ! Have you heard what she said ? It's impossible for us to go and search for this flower ! You are a ghost and I am a vampire ! I can't even leave this house !"

Quelques heures plus tard, Laureline nous quitta. Maintenant, Kitty et moi-même nous savions tous ce dont nous avions besoin pour trouver l'Ayalaeth pourpre.
"Kitty !" dis-je avec force. "Tout ça ne rime à rien ! Avez-vous bien écouté ce qu'elle nous a dit ? Il nous est impossible d'aller chercher cette fleur ! Vous êtes un fantôme et moi un vampire ! Je ne peux même pas quitter cette maison !"
"Don't be so negative, my dear !" Kitty replied. "Of course you and I can't go and search for this flower. It would be impossible for us, but someone could do this for us."
"But who ?" I asked. "I have no friend ! Nobody knows I actually exists !"
"I know things that you're not aware of," Kitty whispered. "Someone will be sent to help us, believe me !"

"Ne sois pas si négative, mon enfant !" répondit Kitty. "Bien sûr, toi et moi nous ne pouvons pas aller à la recherche de cette fleur. C'est totalement impossible pour nous, mais quelqu'un pourrait le faire pour nous."
"Mais qui ?" demandais-je. "Je n'ai pas d'amis ! Personne ne sait que j'existe !"
"Je sais des choses que tu ignores," murmura Kitty. "Quelqu'un va nous être envoyé pour nous aider, crois-moi !" "You're not alone, anyway." she continued. "I'll come back as often as I can. Don't lose hope !"
She left me and though I felt sad, I started to think that maybe there was actually some hope, even if it was very thin. I just wondered who will be sent to help me ?

Elle me quitta et même si je me sentais un peu triste, je commençais à me dire qu'il y avait peut-être un peu d'espoir même s'il était très faible. Mais qui donc allait-on m'envoyer pour m'aider ?

Upon the french/english text, I must say that french is my 1st language, so it's easier for me to write a story in french. I love your idea, and It would be neat if you could tell how you came up with the idea for the wonderous Blood family. You totally deserve 100.0. BTW, how did you arrange those pictures like that? Like the front page? I've been trying to do something like that for my upcoming series, but I dont know how to arrange the pictures and change colors and such. I hope you'd be willing to tell me!
