This tutorial explains how to create your own rooftop balcony. They're usually found on beach lots near the ocean, but you can easily make a rooftop retreat almost anywhere else! If your lot is near the ocean, then your Sims can have quite a beautiful view to gaze out onto the deep blue sea. Either way, they look great at night too! It doesn’t matter if you have any expansion packs installed to build rooftop balconies.

For this tutorial we are making a gazebo-styled building, but the logistics work the same with normal buildings simply by not adding the decking foundation to the top of each wall (level).
