Author: Apple | Posted Mar 7, 2010
Updated Mar 23
This is an updated version of the original tutorial I wrote quite a few months back. It's been updated to include the newest features of TSR Workshop, as well as a 100% collaboration with the newest tutorials here, so you can go on to create objects all the way.
This tutorial is mainly a TSR Workshop guide. It doesn't teach you how to create a mesh, nor how to create the textures; that is what the other two new tutorials are for (and they're linked to in this tutorial at the right places). This guide shows you everything you need to know about the TSR Workshop program. For example showing you hwo to enable/disable new patterns, add a new colour variation, as well as broken down views of the Workshop user interface throughout.
Baking Shadows
Author: sim_man123 | Posted Feb 23, 2010
This tutorial will show you how to automatically create a multiplier using Blender3D (version 2.49) and export it so that it can be converted to DDS for importing into TSR Workshop. This tutorial may be updated for the revamped Blender3D v2.5 user interface once a final, stable version is released.

Author: ulker | Posted Dec 21, 2009
This tutorial will teach you the basics of creating hair meshes in TSR Workshop. It won’t be an in-depth tutorial about modelling in your 3d application or drawing nice textures in your graphics editor. There are plenty of nice tutorials about those topics on the internet. I’ll just share a few tips and tricks about meshing and texturing. This tutorial will cover things like how to make a set of textures/LODs and what those things mean. So note that you must be familiar with your 3d application and graphics editor and practice a lot to create good looking hair. So let’s get started!

So you want to build a house where the door opens to a choice of upstairs or downstairs, but you aren’t sure where to start? This tutorial should help you build that Split Entry home, and you may learn some CFE tricks while you’re at it!
*NOTE – Some experience with CFE is helpful, but not necessary (if you’re brave!). I consider this tutorial to be intermediate – expert level.
REQUIREMENTS: This tutorial can be used without any EPs whatsoever; in fact I am only using the Base Game to create it! :D
Getting Started: Before we begin, choose a lot size a little larger than you think you will need. So, if you want a small house, choose a MEDIUM sized lot. The reason you will be doing this is because using the CFE will take up quite a bit more space in your home than you think. You don’t want to get half way through a build only to find you won’t have enough room for the house you had planned. I am using a 3x4 Lot for this Tutorial.
