Flying/Hovering

I’ve decided to write an article about all the littlesecrets you can use to improve your stories. With backgrounds, and all thosethings in the stories that leave you wondering how on earth did they do that??People have asked me, how did I make my sims look like they were flying orjumping through the air?

Well it was quite simple. In the build mode, undermiscellaneous you will find columns. If you place them on the ground youcan get a tile and place it on top of the column. Then using the moveObjects on cheat you can pick your sims upand place them on top. If you then delete the tile and remove the column yoursims are hovering in the air!

To get my sims looking like they were jumping. I put thecolumns in the place where I wanted them to look like they were ‘jumping’  andmade all 3 of them at once run to a certain spot, in front of them. Then Iquickly paused it while they were running, and placed them just like beforewith the hovering, on the columns with the tiles. Then removed both tile andcolumn to make it look like they were jumping between the buildings.

Sims taking a bath together

People wonder how two simscould take a bath together, it’s quite simple.

First of all you’re going to need to get yourself twobaths, like I have below. You make one of your sim’s take a bubble bath (Ireckon bubbles look better) in one of the baths, and your other sim to do theexact same thing in the other bath.

So now you have both your sims having a bubble bath. Thenpress Ctrl+Shift+C and type in: moveObjects on

After that you go into buy mode and you can pickup one of your sims that is having a bath, and move him into the other bath, sothat they’re facing each other. Told you it was simple!

 Cheats

I found some great cheats that I didn’t even knowexisted!!! And I thought I knew them all, I guess don’t believe everything youthink! Which is quite weird saying because if you don’t believe yourself whoare you going to believe? Anyway on with the cheats……

Now we probably all know the keys to press to get thetextbox at the top but if you didn’t you press Ctrl + Shift + C to getthe textbox to appear at the top of your screen.  Now to tell you the cheats…..

·                Objectscan be placed anywhere using buy and build mode: moveObjects[on/off]

·                Gettingrid of the annoying speech bubbles: showHeadlines [on/off]

·                Gettingrid of the glowing green diamond above sims: Plumbbobtoggle[on/off]

·                Turningoff the aging, so your sim doesn’t grow up before you want it to: aging [on/off]

·                Theultimate cheat: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled[true/false]

·                If youhave the testing cheats enabled and you’re creating a sim you can press Shift+N to get access to all the skins,  clothesand hairstyles that would normally be for NPC’s

See doesn’t the green thing just annoy you?? When you’re trying to write stories I mean. Anyway it doesn’t matter……What matters is we now both know how to get rid of it so we can write our stories :P

Okay for example, with the speech bubbles. If you look to the left, in this picture Logan (guy) was meant to be talking to the girl (forgotten her name) about relationship problems with the girl’s best friend. And she suddenly brings up the white house??? I waited and waited for the speech bubbles to go away! So I could take a picture of them just sitting on the grass talking.
