In this short tutorial I willbe explaining how to make four corner stairs or square but either way it looksjust like the one in the picture to the right. By the end of this tutorial I’mhoping to have taught you how to make all kinds of different stair sets.
Step 1.
Although you may not even read all this blurb all startby explaining the physics. The first stage is four clicks/steps above theground, the second 8 clicks (4 above the last one), the third 4 above that andthe last 16 clicks, which is the height of one normal wall.
To set up the same formation in thepicture above you’ll need to set up the walls like so…

Ok so that’s two parallel walls with one square inbetween then following these along place leave one space then place two wallsat right angles to each other. Repeat this step twice more to achieve a squarelike shape.
Step 2.
Your next step is to lower the first corner down to fourclicks. To do this there are two methods you can either count out 12 clicks (3quarters of a wall) or you can place three sets of stairs on the ground. Likeso…

As you can see I’ve levelled the ground to bring it levelwith the stage that needs to be lowered. (Gasp) you may want to take a smallbreak for drinks. You now need to use the CFE command press ctrl+shift+C at thesame time to open the command box then type boolprop constrainfloorelevationfalse you may want to copy and paste this part boolpropconstrainfloorelevation you’ll be using it a lot.
Step 3.
Okay now you need to place adiagonal wall or a pillar. Go up to the next floor and use the level terrainfloor from the new wall across to the first platform. As shown right.
Then add a floor tile to this platform but be you need totake off the CFE command by typing boolprop constrainfloorelevation true into command box. Then add the tile to the platform, if you don’t type it inthen this will happen…

If this happens then you’ll not be able to complete thetutorial. But if you do put in the command then you’ll get nice uniformplatforms.
Step 4.
You now need to lower platform two this needs to go down8 clicks or two stair sets. Like so…

Place another wall or pillar and level the terrain again, take off the CFE command (boolprop constrainfloorelevation true) and place yournew floor tile and put the CFE command back on (boolpropconstrainfloorelevation false).
Step 5.

As you can see I’ve began levelling the floor ready forthe next platform you can use the same ditch just delete the stairs and thenlevel out from the flat patch produced by the first set of stairs. (hope yourkeeping up) Now place another wall/pillar and level again. Again take off theCFE command (boolprop constrainfloorelevation true) and place your new floortile.
Step 6.
This time do not put the CFE command back on. But insteadplace your final tile. You can now add your stairs and it should hopefully looksomething like this…

Step 7.
You can add more floors to this by placing walls abovethis in the same ways like so…

Step 8.
Youcan then build further on this for as many floors as you like…

Step 9.
You can also use similar methods to create differentshapes with the same methods and replace walls with pillars. E.g.

If you’re having any trouble send me a message don’tforget McMicky have fun with all your new homes etc.
