A basic guide to using SimPE with Windows vista

This guide uses SimPE version it is a step bystep guide that will take you through the basics of SimPE and its instillationusing Vista.

Step 1.

Assuming you have downloaded SimPE try and open it if itworks you can skip the next step if it comes up with a message saying programcompatibility issues. Right click the icon and then go to the compatibility tabthen click run in compatibility mode for XP service pack 2.

If this doesn’t work still you can always use as admin.

Step 2.

Now in this guide I will show you the ability to editSims looks relationships and skills.

This is SimPE ensure you have Plug-in view on

Go to tools > neighbourhoods > neighbourhoodbrowser then this screen should come up.

Click on Pleasant view.

Step 3.

Editing Sims first of all go to tools > neighbourhoods> Sims browser

Let’s edit Mortimer double click on him.

Step 4.

You should see this screen

Now let’s edit his skills go to skills tab. Now as youcan see Mortimer’s a very skilful Sim

Click on Body and drag the green to around 5 and look theskill is five click commit to save and have a look in game now he has 5 bodyhave a play around once you get the hang of it, it will just work alwaysremember to press commit or else it won’t save.
