Oh my gosh...I actually have a spare couple of seconds? Well, what should I do with it? Talk to you, my friend, my Light! Hi there Khalid! Sorry I don't get by as often as I used to, but building takes much longer than it used to. This new TS3 game is VERY involved! It took me 3 hours to get the right pattern for a rug that I am quite certain will probably just be changed to a solid color by a downloader almost immediately anyway. But, that's just how I am. LOL! Don't even ASK about wallpapers. Although it is taking FAR longer to build with the Create-a-style, it is a much more comprehensive and complete build. I am LOVING it! Now...we just need more stuff! Hehehe! (Right...just what we need...more stuff to have to choose colors for. ) I hope YOU are doing well! Your Souk is amazing! I can see why not having roofs was driving you mad. They look fabulous! I would love to make more interesting buildings from other countries, but not being from/having visited those countries, I hate to work hard to create something just right and then come to find out I did it all wrong, or that it's only for a section of the populace and insults everyone else, etc. I've seen those who've gotten flamed pretty bad if they say they built a "Japanese" lot, and then had someone from Japan rip them up for having some Chinese elements. Not pretty. I would hate to alienate ANYONE. So I stick to what I know, or am more familiar with. Boring, but no one is angry and that is good! We need more love in the world. I am doing okay. The other half and I are trying to buy our first house, and boy...it's a mess. Otherwise, got quite a few things going on...and am still trying to fit my SA-ness into all of it. But, I think I am managing okay.

Hey Light, I just registered to the site and uploaded my first lot. I see that your work here is getting the same praise it deserves as over at the exchange. I'm always in awe of how well you captured the Arabian feel with your lots in S2 and now in S3 with the souk. Can't wait to see what else you put out. Hoping to build an entire Arabian neighborhood with your lots. J

marhaba, Khalil   I have studied many tutorials, and am excited to design, but, sadly, my lot is doing poorly at this time.  My graphic card can't keep up and crashes my laptop, at some point, so the progress in very incremental.  I plan to soon have a new desktop and continue to design.  It would be a very nice house, I believe.  I was inspired by a custom built, Meditarranean style home I saw a couple of weeks ago while driving thru neighborhoods looking for ideas.  I had to learn to make a basement garage, which is not easy because I am not so good with CFE now.  It's been wonderful for you to constantly encourage me; I haven't tried designing from scratch before, although I often modify others' designs a bit.  Believe me, I certainly don't want to present something that looks childish among this talented crowd lol.

Where to start?! Ok...first, thank you for the amazing comment you left on the Granite Falls lot! It always means a lot coming from someone I respect and admire. (It helps if I like them, like I do you, but I'll take respect and admire...hehehe!) Second, I wouldn't worry too much about other artists. Concentrate on YOUR work and your presentation. The rest will take care of itself. You're a good person, a great builder, and YOU were chosen to go to the EA camp. 'Nuff said. Third, if you mean you are wondering how to get different roof angles on one lot Cyclonesue has a fantastically easy tutorial on it up and running. Just go to her site and click on Articles/or her Tutorials Pod on her page. It's actually quite simple, although I do miss being able to type in the numbers for absolute matches when I want them. Anyhoo, that should get you up and running. Are you getting a new computer?! That would be awesome! I know I was certainly excited when my hubby surprised me with mine. He's a good hubby. A silly hubby...but a good hubby. Hehehe! Ok...leaving you alone! Oh, and don't worry about the comments thing. Most people are SO excited about getting your lot ingame they sometimes forget, or don't know how to thank you in a language you will understand. I just love how I can use the word "Light" as so many other fun things that make you smile...Like, "Light in Shining Armor", or "Light of my Life". Yes...I am slowly torturing you, and you don't even know it. LOL! Seriously though, I am thrilled to hear that the patch addressed your roof problem! Now you can build those other houses that have been driving you crazy lately. LOL! (I know...I have to wait for 2 story columns for some of mine.
