Milestone

4 million downloads! At what point does one stop doing the happy dance when one reaches a milestone? I think for me it will always be this way. Doing a little dance. Handing myself and my friends virtual donuts. Thanking all of you so much for making it possible. I've only been doing this a bit over a year. It boggles the mind that enough people would want my meager offering to press download 4 million times! Thanks so much for your continued support. Love the thanks and the comments. Love being here at the #1 Sims 2 site. Having a great start to my Monday. Hope yours goes as well!

Sims2Luxe Sets

If you've been reading my blog, you know that Sims2Luxe disappeared and is unreachable. The sets I had of their recolors have been pulled. But I thought it wasn't fair to you to pull the items that did not require their meshes, so I'm re-releasing some of the sets that have walls, floors, bedding, etc. that do not require their meshes, but that some of you might want. So you'll be seeing these sets come back up as newly published, but in reality they are just the non-mesh items from the original sets.

Sorry for all this, but not much I can do.

Recolors To Be Removed

Due to a lack of response from the former Sims2Luxe owners, my recolors of their sets will be removed. I hope those those who have the meshes and my recolors are enjoying them. **sigh** I will miss that little site.

I appreciate your understanding in this matter.

TC Showroom

I just wanted to let you know about a forum thread where you can show screen shots of your homes that are decorated with the Texture Challenge items. It can be found here: http://forums.thesimsresource.com/showthread.php?t=339284

I hope if you have downloaded TC items, you will visit and show us what you do with our creations!

On another note, still no word about Sims2Luxe. I'll keep you posted.

Sims2Luxe Gone

Sims2Luxe seems to have shut its doors. The staff here is trying to contact the site owner to see if we can get permission to host the mesh files for the Mundy and Calypso. I'll let you know what comes of this when I find out. Until then, I'm afraid unless you already have the meshes, there is not a way to get them to you, so you'll have to pass on those sets for now. Very sad. Back in the day they were a really nice site.

Bathroom weirdness

Just wanted to explain a bit about the bathroom I'm releasing. I wanted to do something of Sunair's because I never had and chose the Hexagon bathroom. I have these colorful tiles that I've been trying to use forever and they sort of looked acceptable with it, so I asked the ladies in the TC forum what they thought. Half of them loved the tiles and half of them hated them. So I did another wall and floor and thought that was still a bit too busy. But some people liked it. Then I did another wall and a couple more floors and other people liked that. The end result is that I couldn't make a decision as often happens with me, so there will be all these different looks possible with this bathroom. I'd also like to see any examples anyone might come up with where these tiles look like they really belong there. I like them by themselves but still haven't found anything I'm totally happy with using them with. So if you come up with something, please let me know. Or if you're one of the ones who hate them, then you can skip those and get the others. Either way, there should be something for everyone. Hope you like it!

Thanks for the Thanks

Just wanted to say thank you to all the people pressing the Thanks button. Went over 200,000 thanks just recently. That's a lot of gratitude and I appreciate it!

Also, I wanted to mention, for those who are taking the poll and answered What the dickens is a poly count, if you visit Sunair's blog, she does a really great job of explaining it, so I thought I'd refer you there instead of trying to repeat it.

TC50

Well, if you've been to the front page, you know that this is a big week for the Texture Challenge Forum as we celebrate our 50th texture challenge. There is a TC50 house and a community lot and much more to come during the week. I hope you'll join us in the celebration and I hope as you visit the participating artists that you'll be sure to tell them how much you appreciate their hard work. Some of these creators are only beginners and have put a lot of effort into this celebration. The things they've come up with have amazed me. I hope you enjoy our work! Have a great TC50 week!

Just Saying Hello

Just thought I'd say hello to everyone. It's been a while since I wrote and my last entry started with Grrr, which isn't very friendly, so I thought I'd just drop a line and say thank you to all the nice people who download and thanks and send me nifty comments and strange requests. I appreciate you all.

I'd also like to thank all my friends in the Texture Challenge forum for putting up with me when I've been all out of sorts and telling me the truth about how to make things better. They are such a lovely bunch of people. If you are or plan to be a creator, that forum is a great place to start.

I would tell you here what I'm up to, but I'm in a state of indecision at the moment. (Those who know me will laugh at that. I'm ALWAYS in that state.) But I'll get a clue shortly and drop you a line and let you know. In the meantime, if there is anything you'd like to see, let me know. I may not be able to work it in right away, but I can usually get to it without too long a wait. (As long as it's within my abilities.) Nice talking to you!

Grrrr - But Better

Well, I visited Pimp My Sims again and now the Modern Kitchen is back on the page. Which means I changed the files I changed for no reason in particular other than to have a bit extra to do. I'm very, very glad I was too busy to change them all. For the time being, I'm going to just leave them like they are. But eventually I'll change them back since Solander's meshes here are not free and they are on Pimp My Sims (not really understanding that one). But just wanted to let you know in case you were thinking of a new kitchen!

There is a bit of a buffer in the new submission page, so my next set doesn't come out until Saturday. I know I've spoiled you all releasing something every day, but maybe some will get a chance to catch their breath.

Fun rooms and rugs and maybe even a few walls to come, so stay tuned!
