Work in progress - barrette hair for toddlers

I'm making this hair for the upcoming theme week, barrette hair converted for toddlers. I added different bangs though, I love bangs, lol! The hair is also animated, it will bend nicely most of the time, it moves slightly as well but not much.

Work in progress - more animated hair

I'm working on two new hair meshes for girls and toddlers. Both converted Maxis hair actually. First one is short haircut that Maxis only made for adult and teens. I modified it for kids and toddlers but managed to keep all the animation, the hair will be slightly bouncing with movement just like Maxis original. The second mesh is hidden hair from OFB. I know its been extracted by others already but my version will be fully animated and again scaled for kids and toddlers. I now think as I type this if I should make it into adult version as well, hmmm... Will see.

Artist block, do not disturb! lol!

I suppose every creator hits the wall at some point. My next few sets for May are more like side projects until I find my inspiration. Still some of you may find the use for those as well. Mailbox Recolors (May 7) - something I should've done a long time ago. They match my mailbox covers if you are using them. There is also default replacement version available at MTS2, this one will change the default white mailbox in the game. You can get those here. Fake Mailbox and Trashcan (May 8) - those were a request that I picked up at MTS2, also posted there. Practical Minilights (May 11) - set of tiny lights that easy to hide under objects, can be placed on locked tiles and even on water surface (pond). Includes mini ceiling light and mini fence light. Also some tube shaped lights for the ground in different colors. Baby Diapers (May 17) - made for the upcoming monthly theme. Will replace the game default white diaper used for babies (not toddlers). You can only use one color replacement at a time. Still, its better than dirty white default diaper, lol!

Update - Buttons

I've updated my Buttons hair mesh file, made it a little animated. The strings will swing a little when sim turns her head. You only need to download the mesh file, old recolors will still work.

Hair Bin Tutorial

I've uploaded my first tutorial: Assigning Custom Hair to Proper Hair Color Bin. It tells you how you can convert custom hair to make it appear under black, brown, etc. category in both Bodyshop and the game. Please note, this is not a beginner tutorial, you are expected to have basic understanding of SimPe tool and custom hair files.

Coming soon - round glasses fix

Following a request I took a look at Maxis round glasses. Apparently there are round glasses for most ages in the game but they were not all showing up and male version was off. So I made some fixes to the glasses, the adult male one will now sit where it suppose to, tennage versions will be available in the catalog too. I also added a new mesh for toddlers, they do look quite interesting in those glasses, lol! All in all, there will be a complete set published soon with all the fixes, new meshes, and new colors.

OFB locked tiles fix

I posted two fixes at MTS2, OFB mailbox fix and OFB locked tiles fix. Both fixes for Open for Business. The first one allows to move mailbox and trashcan within the previously locked area in front of the house, the other does the same but works for all objects. These should be treated with caution just like any other hack.

Coming soon - animated hair

After days of pulling my hair I finally got everthing working. New pigtails hair mesh for toddlers and girls. The hair is fully animated, the pigtails will bounce when a girl moves her head. Similar to how Maxis pigtails hair works. Not many custom meshes are animated this way, I know just one so far, so I'm happy to publish one myself!

Work in progress - kids glasses

I want to make more accessories for a toddler so I decided to make glasses. Selected the no frame glasses from adults and made them available for toddlers and also for kids. Needs more testing. And the kids don't seem too happy about them, lol!

Mailbox cover is now working!!!

Thats right! That same mailbox cover that wasn't possible to use since the release of OFB! The one that people kept bugging me about! FIXED! You can place it on top of the mailbox again. Not only that, it NO LONGER REQUIRES A CHEAT CODE! It doesn't require expansion pack. You can download the updated mesh or a complete set with recolors.
