School is going to start soon. *sighs* I really don't feel like digging into these heaps of books and struggling every second with all the homework. Anyways, working the whole summer payed of really good and since I was planning to get the Sims 3 Pets !! Why? I've been loving all the screenshots and such with dogs and kitties, and especially the horses! (wonders, might use it in my stories later.. but probably not in the current one.. maybe.. IT'S SO TEMPTING)

Building Houses of a Smaller Nature
Two new houses have been uploaded these past few days, and I have two more coming :)
The two upcoming houses are quite small in comparison to most of my other uploads. I'm trying to create more variation within my creations, while still sticking to the modern style (which is, obviously, my favourite).
I think, even though it's only been a short time, uploading my creations on TSR has allowed me to experiment more, rather than just sticking to the same building concepts - it's exciting.

You been waiting for the secret on how to train your SIM to be level 8 to catch a wild horse or a uni? Well here is the trick.
1st. You have to have a horse first of all before anything. Buy a horse or at least create one.
2nd. You must have the following skills:
a. Agile
b. Fast
c. Obidient
THESE ARE KEY!!!
3rd. Make your horse gallop around on the first RIDE WITH THEIR SIM. DO NOT HESITATE.
4th. Start jumping big jumps! DO NOT HESITATE.
5th. Do races and comps to actually gain XP!

1.be cool if can add lemo car as your won to drive on sims3 game..i been looking for one an can not fine no lemo cars on here or anywear for free wish there was one alots made may there come out with on later hope so that would be nice.
2. would be nice to find toys for sims 3 baby stuff for them to play with i see some normal one but i dont see any new ones that free for babys an child can play for..i see walnotes toys for baby but ones they can play with them self unless im looking in the wrong place. ..

Sup, TSR! I have been very busy lately. As in, on tumblr and following other simblrs and playing the Sims 3! So far I have not gotten the Sims 3 university life yet! I should be getting it this week. I open requests or wishes for my 'gothic Victorian serie' that means the following:
1. You may ask things from todler to elder, man and female.
2. You can ask for dresses, jackeds, tops, corsets, vests and chokers.
3. You can make a colage of things you wish to see in 1 outfit and let me desinge the thing you want, and I show you the desinge befor I start to create.
4. You just can give me a link to the thing you like to see for the sims.
5. Keep in mind I allways will think about it befor I will create and that I allways will work for my own things first befor I make/upload your request/wish.

Actually, the purpose I am writing now is not so much important for you guys. Qinn and I just bought a new house in Riverview! We are so lucky to move her from Bridgeport. We both felt like it was too crowded. We sure will miss partying, but our love will be greater here! Don't tell her, but I really want to propose to her soon. First I need enough money for the ring. I'm looking for a job in science right now. I hope I can get it as soon as I can. Max just moved us to a cute little house in Riverview. I love being where we can have more room. Max is looking for a job, but I think I will just stay home. We brought my computer and we got stuff so I can paint. I might as well do what I love, right? I'm also wanting some kids. I can just hear the sound of their tiny feet running around the house. Life is awesome at times, but not always. I can't wait though! See you Qinners around!
Sims slowing down..
So today I had to delete some of my installed contents because my sims is slowing down. I deleted some of my downloaded furnitures.. But some of them are not working properly so.. I guess it's okay.
Hope by doing this my game will be normal again. Ugh:\ I have too many cc for making my sims beautiful. blaa.:)) But I do love designing houses& spaces. I'm studying Interior Design by the way:) hihi.
News!
Well, it's possible I spoke to soon about being back! A couple weeks ago, I suffered a major crash on the computer I use to create Sims custom content. A freak electrical storm during a windows update cause the computer's operating system to become corrupted and I was unable to boot to the desktop. Fortunately, I had a recovery image of my hard drive and was able to recovery most of my files, but I did lose my current Sims 3 project.
So, I am starting all over again with a "new and improved" Sims 3 project! I'll keep you updated with my progress.

This is my first blog entry here at TSR, I'd like to introduce myself! I'm Laur, a 22 year old from London currently living in Peterborough with my other half. I've been playing The Sims since the very beginning, I'm addicted! Its only very recently that I've started to create though.

Starting my story..
I am starting to draft my story... Even though I don't have pose player & other expansion packs.. and well, not patched basic sims 3, I do hope it works! I think I'll be posting a chapter per week depending on my works for school. I am a college art student too you know! Will be writing about.... well you have to wait for it! :)) I'm still thinking about the title. That'll be the hardest thing to do.
Earning Badges Leads to a Lack of House Building
This past week or so, I've been spending the majority of my time on the sims trying to complete many of the badges on the sims 3 website. Therefore, I have not really been focused on building houses to upload here.
I do have a few already-made houses that are just waiting for me to photograph them so they can be uploaded, and my head is filled with ideas for future houses to come.
I am having a problem though, the other day, I attempted to upload a new (and one of my personal favourites) house. My game only recently started working again with custom content, and so I was excited to finally furnish my creations how I wanted. As most of you probably know, the release of the Pets EP and the subsequent game patch caused much of the custom content to be problematic when uploading to TSR. I did my research, and downloaded the RigFix (along with the granny.dll file). However, I am still unable to make it work for me. The easiest way to explain how it is messing up is to say it can't find anything to select/fix.
So, for now, I guess I will just be uploading empty houses/houses with only stock items. If you can think of any solution to my RigFix problem, or if you want more details, just let me know!

Hi Everyone ... looks like I'm not going to get anything uploaded this weekend ... I have been working on learning meshing for the Sims 3 and I think I have the meshing down and maybe even the UV mapping ... but the ground shadow, I'm just not getting it and I am sure that it is probably something simple that I am missing or not doing right. Well off to try again.

I was thinking about making my own story.. but I don't have those special poses other members got. I only got the basic sims and it's not patched to the latest.. *sigh* Maybe I'd have to be creative then; if I really want to make one?

My armchair tour to some of the historically significant homes that have been preserved across Canada continues westward. I have arrived (in my imagination) on the Praries and have so far completed two simple homes. One is quite generic - one of hundreds scattered across the plains. It is a precurser of the pre-fab house: a small farmhouse built from plans available from the Canadian Pacific Railway's B.C. and Alberta Land Dept. In 1913 a 2 bedroom frame house with space for extra sleeping rooms in the attic could be built for about $950. The CPR provided the plans and the materials, after they sold homesteaders a tract of land from their vast holdings. My children's great-grandpa was one of those homesteaders and may have lived in such a house.
The 2nd house witnessed a unique episode in Canadian history: the execution for treason of the Metis leader Louis Riel. Time has allowed a re-examination of the events and issues surrounding the Red River and Northwest Rebellions, and Riel is widely regarded as a Canadia folk hero. His mother's home where his body lay after the execution remains as a testament to Riel's place in history and the significance of the Metis people in the cultural makeup of Canada.
While I am exploring the Prairie Provinces I am finding so many exciting options of what to build. The pioneers who settled the west built everything from sod huts and log cabins to elegantly appointed homes. Which one shall I visit next?

Hi ... I'm back ... I hope
Hi Everyone, Hope you are all doing well ... man it has been a long time since I have been here and a long time since I have created anything. I still don't have a lot of time to devote to creating ... BUT ... I am going to try to do something every weekend, most of the time weekdays are just to hectic with working. I have started a couple of recolors using the textures from the Texture Challange and I also tried my hand at a couple of paintings for Sim 3 using VanillaSim's great tutorial ... so thats something new to add to my stuff and this weekend I am going to try to make some seamless patterns for Sim 3, and who knows maybe even try some meshing.

Vacation is over! Back to work!
Okay - working on the Historic Canada Series isn't exactly work. But my trip to my hometown in SW Ontario is over and my self-appointed task of recreating some of this country's historically significant sites is again underway.
While we were away, my husband and I enjoyed a visit to the Backus-Page House Museum - one of a few remaining homes built by residents of the historic Talbot Settlement along the north shore of Lake Erie. The founder Colonel Thomas Talbot, born into Anglo-Irish nobility, used his influence to acquire 5000 acres of land in Upper Canada in 1803. He carefully selected families from his homeland to colonize the region ruling over them with a somewhat despotic control. The result was the organization of twenty-nine townships stretching from Long Point to the Detroit River.
When I was growing up in St. Thomas, once the political and commercial hub of the region, little mention was made of the Colonel in our history lessons. Perhaps he was not fondly remembered by the descendants of the early settlers. His own home, Malahide - named after the Irish castle in which he was born - fell into disrepair and was demolished in the 1990's in spite of the growing interest of local heritage enthusiasts. Now the Tyrconnel Heritage Society and other history and genealogical societies work to protect the remaining evidence of early settlement including the John S. Pearce House (1809), the Col. Leslie Patterson House (1814), the Stephen Backus Farm (1825), the Meredith Conn House (1828), St. Peter's Anglican Church (1827) and the nearby cemetery.
We had a wonderful afternoon exploring the Backus-Page Museum and the adjoining Park, strolling through the woods on the sandy cliffs high above the crashing waves of Lake Erie. The museum staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and our guide did an excellent job of pointing out the features of the house. Turns out she is a fellow Simmer and was enthusiastic about my Historic Canada Series. I took lots of pictures so that I could try to capture the simple elegance of the home, especially the handcrafts used throughout the home - quilts, hooked rugs and paintings by a descendant of the former owners.
While exploring the area, we also enjoyed spotting the large murals installed in various locations throughout the 5 counties of SW Ontario. The Barn Quilt Trail project depicts traditional quilt patterns whose names evoke the historical or geographical aspects of the area. The Backus-Page barn is the site of one such installation so I have included a quilt wallhanging in my Sims recreation (with thanks to TSR submitter IOS).
I encourage you to take a little break from the Sims, explore your area and support your local heritage society. You never know what might inspire your next Sims creation.
