HUGE A-LIST CELEBRITY HOME: STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION
After 15 hours of painstakingly figuring out where to put those walls and those foundations and those awesome columns from Showtime, and those doors and windows, and the layout blahblahblah, this is what I have so far. I'll say, I am LOVING how this is turning out. Still a lot of work to be done at the front exteriors (not shown here), but this is progress!

July 15th, The Royal Library
Sorry for the delay of my next set release, but real life keeps intruding on my FUN!
The Royal Library collection is set for publication on July 15, 2012. I had a fantastic time creating this set; it was like visiting with an old, favorite aunt.
The Royal Library is a Victorian inspired group of furniture and furnishings, which includes: a massive 4-tile bookcase unit with tons of slots for book and decorative objects, writing desk and chair, table lamp, a small round side table, a world globe, 3 new paintings for the bookcases, serving cart (my favorite item), lead crystal decanter and goblet, desk accessories set, a functional and decorative bookcase, books for the bookcase, and so much more! There are a total of 24 "new" meshes in the set. Oh, yes, I tried my hand again at creating 2 new wall panels for the library, so be kind. LOL!
The set also includes a collection folder, which I will upload to MediaFire. So, grab a book (or an e-reader), find a comfy chair, and enjoy a good read!
Take Care and Happy Simming,

New Story!!
I just submitted a new story!!
I'm really excited about it, I wrote five chapters yesterday AND shot the whole first chapter. Took me all day and night, but it's done! I really like this story, it's a little dark, but it gets better as it progresses.
I haven't stopped OUAS, I'm just having writers block as far as where I want to story to go from the place where it's at.
I hope everyone enjoys A Familiar Face!
MI Casa Blanca
My sincerest apologies to all who have downloaded my latest lot Mi Casa Blanca.
It appears that i have mistakenly uploaded the wrong file, due to repeated failed attempts due to getting a rig fix error. After 4 efforts at fixing that error, I uploaded a trial version and it uploaded. I forgot to then delete that trial version before uploading the full version of my house and hten deleted the wrong file, thus leaving the trial file. this is what you will be downloading and th ecolors do not match the preview pictures. Instead of crisp white bricks you willhave an orange exterior and interior.
I have uploaded an amended version and am waiting for it to be approved. Hopefully it will be available in a couple of days.
Once again, my deepest apologies for any inconvenience this has caused. I will be more careful next time.
Thank you

New creation coming up soon!
Hey all!
Been some time after my last blog entry. I've just been so busy with work, moving to a house and stuff. But I've got some time over now and finally started creating a new lot. I don't know exactly when it'll be finished but as soon as I can. This one might be a bit smaller than I use to built but I'm sure many will just love it.
So keep your eyes open and I promise it'll be up and coming as soon as it's finished.
Have a great week everyone! =)
Hello :-) Been away
Just wanted to share, I've been away at the sims 3 website doing creation and uploading it to the exchange.
Also working on my sims 3 fansite called "Sims Junkie"
New to modding.
I am coming into the scene way late, seeing as... well... Ts3 is out now, and I just got TS2 less than a year ago... But I have been puttering around with graphics for even longer, so it is my cup of tea to try and Mod. I just made my first set of eyes, but I am not even sure how to package them or post them or anything... I will probably figure it out, but it will give me time to get a few pieces up to share.
Some Help...
Im new here to SimsResources and I have been having some trouble to make creations. If anyone can give me advice, that would really help. Thanks!!CHAPTER 7 IS OUT!
I honestly think it's kind of funny, how mean Seth is. Needless to say, in the next chapter, he's a huge jerk face. I'm really excited to share :)
Story Help...
Making the 2nd chapter, and i'm kinda out of ideas... If anyone has any ideas i will be grateful if u could give me 1 or 2. And I WILL give credit if i use yor idea.

New York, NY (Sports Network) - Southern California, fresh off its 35-3 dismantling of then-No. Babe Ruth Jersey . 5 Ohio State on Saturday night, took a stronger hold on the top spot in the latest Associated Press college football poll, released Sunday. The Trojans (2-0) remained No. 1 and received 1,596 points, with 61 of the 64 first-place votes. The Buckeyes (2-1) dropped to 13th, meanwhile, as a result of their blowout loss. Oklahoma (3-0), Georgia (3-0), Florida (2-0) and Missouri (3-0) rounded out the top-five, with Georgia (2) and Florida (1) the only other schools earning first-place votes. The Bulldogs , ranked No. 1 in the preseason poll, fell from second to third after a tough 14-7 win over unranked South Carolina, while the Sooners leapfrogged into second after a third consecutive blowout win, this time a 55-14 rout at Washington. Georgia is the first preseason No. 1 to drop two spots despite starting the season 3-0 since Oklahoma in 1985. LSU (2-0) moved up a spot to sixth in advance of its showdown at SEC rival Auburn on Saturday night. The Tigers (3-0) dropped a spot to 10th after their 3-2 win over Mississippi State. Texas (2-0), Wisconsin (3-0), and Alabama (3-0) took the seventh through ninth spots, respectively. The Badgers moved up from 10th to eighth after their 13-10 win over Fresno State, which dropped from 21st to 25th as a result. Texas Tech (3-0) moved up a spot to 11th, while South Florida (3-0) earned a seven-spot jump from 19th to 12th after its thrilling 37-34 comeback win over previously 13th-ranked Kansas. The Jayhawks (2-1) fell to 19th. BYU took 14th, while East Carolina (3-0), Penn State (3-0), Oregon (3-0), Wake Forest (2-0) and Utah filled out the top-20. West Virginia (1-1) and Illinois (2-1) took 21st and 22nd respectively, while two new entries -- Clemson (2-1) and Florida State (2-0) -- were ranked 23rd and 24th. Clemson, ranked ninth in the preseason poll before being thrashed 34-10 by Alabama in their season-opener, returned to the top-25 after successive wins over Citadel and North Carolina State. Other games of note for next week include No. 18 Wake Forest at No. 24 Florida State in an ACC matchup, No. 4 Florida at Tennessee (1-1) in an SEC battle, and No. 3 Georgia at Arizona State (2-1). Intel said it will close two assembly test facilities in Penang, Malaysia, and one in Cavite, Philippines, in addition to wafer production facilities in Santa Clara and Hillsboro, Oregon. The closures, Intel said, will take place between now and the end of 2009. The moves were designed to align its manufacturing capacity to current market conditions, the company added. Intel reported last week that the economic slowdown and slumping demand for personal computers sent net profit sharply lower in the fourth quarter of the year. It said net profit in the last three months of the year plunged to $234 million, down 90 percent from a year ago. Tweet If the excitement and energy thats blaring out of Vinny Lecavaliers voice comes pouring out in his play this season, then the Tampa Bay center will again find himself lumped in with the NHLs elite. Lecavalier cant remember when he was this excited for training camp to start. "Its obvious they want to make this a first-class organization," he told NHL.com. Its a new era for the Bolts, with Jeff Vinik watching from the owners box as GM Steve Yzerman runs the show from the front office and Guy Boucher guides the team from the bench. The captain is pumped. "After losing for three years, automatically you have that motivation that you dont want to lose again, that you want to make it to the playoffs and go from there, but to have the whole new organization, Im just really excited to start camp and get going, to learn new things from Guy," Lecavalier said. "Everybody is excited. All the guys I have talked to and texted with, they have all heard the same things and theyre all just as excited." "After losing for three years, automatically you have that motivation that you dont want to lose again, that you want to make it to the playoffs and go from there, but to have the whole new organization, Im just really excited to start camp and get going, to learn new things from Guy" -- Vincent Lecavalier Yzerman said he spoke with Lecavalier in June when he went to Montreal. This was after Boucher was hired, but before the GM brought Pavel Kubina back to the organization and traded for Lecavaliers old friend, Simon Gagne. Yzerman, too, could sense Lecavaliers growing level of excitement and anticipation for the immediate future of the Bolts. That enthusiasm was missing in recent years as Lecavalier has battled inconsistency and nagging injuries while the Lightning have been among the NHLs worst teams. After averaging 100 points per season from 2006-08, Lecavaliers production dipped to an average of 68.5 points per over the last two seasons. He was a minus-16 last season, when he had 70 points in 82 games. Mind you, 70 points is respectable for a lot of players, but its pedestrian for Lecavalier, who had 108 points on 52 goals and 56 assists in 2006-07 and 92 points on 40 goals and 52 assists the following season. "In fairness to Vinny, hes battled injuries for two or three years now, and as a former player I know that takes its toll on you and you just dont come back overnight from injuries," Yzerman told NHL.com. Yes, but even Yzerman cant deny that the injuries only partly led to Lecavaliers struggles. He was discontent with the path of the organization and the subject of rampant trade rumors, so much so that at the 2009 All-Star Game in Montreal he had to hold his own press conference to discuss all that. "A lot of things went on and I wasnt here, so I cant really comment on it," Yzerman said. "Our expectations are high and I let Vinny know that." 2010-2011 SEASON PREVIIEW Little rest for Yzerman Dan Rosen - NHL. He loves it. "Vinny has told reporters that hes excited, and trust me, talking to me, its been a long time since Ive heard Vinny be that excited," Montreal forward Mathieu Darche, one of Lecavaliers best friends in hockey, told NHL.com. "Hes had some talks with Guy and he really likes the discussions hes had. He likes the new approach, the think-outside-the-box approach. Guy is all about speed and execution and I think thatll fit Vinnys game right away." Darche, who played with Lecavalier in Tampa during the 2007-08 season, has given Lecavalier the lowdown on Boucher, a person hes known for two decades and played under last season in Hamilton of the AHL. "Mathieu said his communication skills, with his degree in psychology, and the way he treats people and the way he talks to different players differently are great," Lecavalier said. "Obviously thats the off-ice stuff. As for systems, he said he has a good defensive system but his power play and his systems in general were just phenomenal. He started telling me things and I was immediately impressed. It was a lot of things I had never heard before." Once Lecavalier met Boucher, his appreciation for the coach grew. He also realized why Darche used the word "unorthodox" to describe Boucher. "I wasnt quite sure what Mathieu meant until I met Guy and saw how intense he was and how his systems are different, things I never really thought of or other teams havent thought of," Lecavalier said. "When you get to NHL it seems that every team, or mostly every team, plays the same system -- power play, defensive zone -- but he brings in different things. Obviously I really cant say what they are, but theyre things that really impressed me. They make a lot sense." Darche is confident that his friend will rebound in a big way under Boucher. "I keep telling my buddies, if you have a pool next year to take Vinny because Guy is the perfect fit for that team," Darche said. "Hes going to get Vinny going." Maybe Boucher already has. That excitement you hear in Lecavaliers voice could very well be the proof, and a sign of whats in store for No. 4. "Everybody knows when Vinny is at his top we have a main horse there that can do so many things," Boucher told NHL.com. "Ive always believed in Lecavalier. I have seen him play at his best. I know the family. Its perfect for him for things to fall into place. Hes a tremendous player and certainly the team will be able to follow him in anything he does well." ALLEN PARK, Mich. Wholesale NFL Jerseys . -- The Detroit Lions have offensive guard Rob Sims under contract for four more seasons. The team announced the signing Friday. Sims has started all four games for the winless Lions this season. He started 30 games the previous two years for the Seattle Seahawks. Detroit acquired Sims from Seattle in April for defensive end Robert Henderson and for an exchange of lower-round draft picks. Sims was Seattles fourth-round pick in the 2006 draft. The Lions hosts the St. Louis Rams (2-2) on Sunday and are favoured to snap a 10-game skid dating to last November. Blaine Gabbert Elite Jersey . Michael Schumacher will keep a close eye on Ferraris rivals in Spain this weekend when he attends his first Formula One Grand Prix since he retired last year. Ferrari said the seven times world champion, who has kept out of the limelight and made few public comments about the sport he once dominated, will join them at the Circuit de Catalunya on Friday. The 38-year-old German is due to hold a news conference at 1000 GMT. Hes still involved with the team and he will try to help the team go forwards, said Kimi Raikkonen, the Finn who has stepped into Schumachers shoes at the Italian team, when asked what role his predecessor might play. Thats why hes coming here and I think its going to be only a positive thing, he told reporters at the circuit on Thursday. Schumacher has kept in regular touch with Ferrari from his home in Switzerland, receiving real-time test data on his computer, as well as attending the launch of the new car at Maranello in January. In February, the most successful driver in Formula One history also turned up for a test session at the Barcelona circuit. Von Miller Elite Jersey. Raikkonen, level with McLarens double champion Fernando Alonso and British rookie Lewis Hamilton on 22 points at the top of the standings, was not expecting the former champion to give him or Brazilian team mate Felipe Massa any advice on how to drive the car. Hopefully he has much more time to look over what the other teams are doing and maybe he comes up with some ideas. I think thats the way hes approaching the weekend, said the 27-year-old. Hes not coming to us and telling us how to drive the cars. Thats never been the thing why hes here. I still drive the car and I do with my engineers what I want, added Raikkonen, who won the season-opening Australian Grand Prix on his Ferrari debut. Schumacher won the Spanish Grand Prix six times, more than any other driver, in a career that started in 1991 and ended with a string of records including 68 pole positions and 91 victories. Ferrari have won two of the seasons three races so far, with Massa victorious at the last race in Bahrain. The team are five points adrift of McLaren in the constructors standings. ' ' '

WARKA, Poland -- Croatia could lose its second player in as many days, with defender Vedran Corluka injuring a hamstring during training on Thursday for the European Championship. Denarius Moore Elite Jersey . Corluka, who has been on loan at German club Bayer Leverkusen from Tottenham, left training early after complaining of pain. He is due to have a medical test on Friday morning. His injury came hours after Croatia received permission from UEFA to include 20-year-old midfielder Sime Vrsaljko for Ivo Ilicevic, who pulled his left calf muscle on Wednesday. Star midfielder Luka Modric, however, is believed to have fully recovered from an exhausting season with Tottenham. Croatia coach Slaven Bilic had put Modric on a special training program in acknoweldgement that the player as jaded and needed to be refreshed. That and joining most members of the squad late have helped recharge him, Bilic said. Bilic, who is quitting at the end of the tournament after six years in charge, needs Modric to be at the top of his game if Croatia is going to get out of one of the toughest groups, let alone bid for the title. Modrics form dipped toward the end of a season that ended in disappointment. Tottenham had been fighting for a spot in the Champions League but was denied the opportunity after Chelsea won the competition by beating Bayern Munich in the final. "He played every game when he was available, he was a bit tired," Bilic said. "Hes ready to play his role, which is very important for us." Croatia plays its first Group C game on Sunday against Ireland in Poznan, Poland. Spain and Italy make up the group. Elvis Andrus Jersey . Ryan Mathews Youth Jersey . The Impact are exploring the possibility of signing a Designated Player, and French striker Nicolas Anelka remains a target. Speaking with lesoccerplus this weekend, Impact Head Coach Jesse Marsch said the signing of Anelka "is still a possibility," but talked about the "tricky parts" involved in doing a deal for a big time Designated Player and "unique demands" that need to be met. Andre Johnson Womens Jersey . Louis Cardinals. The Rockies optioned the 26-year-old former first-round draft pick to Triple-A Colorado Springs.TORONTO – Shoulders hunched low, eyes stirring with emotion, the loss hung painfully on Jonas Gustavsson. "Even if it skips, you cant let those in," he said softly. "Youve got to almost expect that and try to squeeze everything so it cant really find a way in there." A point shot off the stick of Mark Fayne trickled awkwardly past the 27-year-old, thwarting the Leafs attempt at a comeback as they fell for the sixth time in seven games (1-5-1), a 4-3 overtime loss to the Devils on Tuesday night. Managing to salvage a point, the Leafs held firm in eighth in the Eastern Conference with 65 points – tied with the Jets with two games in hand – ultimately undone by a shaky performance between the pipes. "Of course it doesnt feel good right now," Gustavsson continued, emotion raw in his voice. "Every time we lose a game I dont feel good about it. But obviously when it happens like that of course you know youve couldve done better and thats what going to be in my head maybe tonight. "Its too bad. The guys worked real hard to get back into this game and a thing like that happens. I feel bad for them." Phil Kessel knotted the score at three with 44 seconds left in regulation –his team-leading 31st goal of the year – as the Leafs clawed back from a 2-0 deficit opposite a Devils squad which had wins in eight of the previous ten games. The night was generally uneasy for Gustavsson even before the overtime winner. The Devils second and third goals – David Clarkson and Alexei Ponikarovsky – both managed to sneak through five-hole in deflating circumstance. Ultimately though it was Faynes skip-shot that stung the most. "I know I can stop that shot so its not about going back to practice tomorrow [to] try to change my strategy," Gustavsson concluded. "Its just about maybe paying extra focus in those situations and [then] bad things like this dont happen." Five Points 1. Just the latest in a string of unstable performances, goaltending has become a considerable point of weakness for the Leafs as the stretch drive kicks into high gear. Both Gustavsson and James Reimer have struggled in recent weeks, forcing Ron Wilson into an unsettling rotation. "Weve got to find a way to get them settled down and try to find them a way of getting some confidence," Wilson said. A month earlier, the Leafs had at least one sturdy option in Gustavsson, but hes since fallen into a rut losing four consecutive starts (0-2-2). "Youve got to work hard in practice and correct your mistakes," Wilson said of his advice to the goaltenders. "Youve got to be focused – thats for both goalies – focused going in, not thinking bad things are going to happen. And nail your style down, be aggressive; if youre going to make mistakes dont make passive mistakes." 2. Questioned on Gustavssons poor showing after the game, Dion Phaneuf responded in kind. "To be honest with you, we win as a team and lose as a team," he said. "Theres no blame, theres no pointing any fingers, its a team game…Were going to look at the positives, were going to take the point that we got and move forward." 3. Whiile it wasnt the double they were after, the Leafs were pleased to snatch at least the single point in defeat. Usama Young Jersey. "Its disappointing to lose," Clarke MacArthur said, "but at the same time were pretty happy getting a point being down 2-0 to a team like that, who makes a living winning games like that. We stuck with it, maybe a bad break in overtime there, but it was a good effort by our team." Added Wilson of the comeback effort, "No matter what was happening in the game we hung in there. We had a few rough patches, but the Devils are as hot as anybody right now and playing really well. Their goalies been playing well and we stuck with it. It took us 59 and a half minutes to tie the game, its just disappointing what happened in overtime." MacArthur tied the score at two in the middle frame – his 18th of the year - completing a nifty set of passing plays from Mikhail Grabovski and Nikolai Kulemin. The goal snapped a six-game drought for the 26-year-old. 4. Generally quiet during the Leafs recent skid, the Grabovski line had its best night in weeks, engaging on both ends of the ice. "Grabo and his linemates play best when theyre given a defensive assignment," Wilson noted. Handed the task of slowing Zach Parise, Ilya Kovalchuk and Adam Henrique, the line managed to emerge with a plus-rating, chipping in with a goal for just the second time in the last seven games. 5. Joey Crabb identified a pair of missing intangibles before Tuesdays game, the first of four straight at home for the Leafs. "Weve just got to bring up our intensity and focus every shift," he told TSN.ca. "I think thats a lot of the mistakes and problems we have is obviously just not focusing while were out there for the full sixty minutes…Our intensity has been down a little bit lately and I think we need to bring a little more of that and a little more grit to our game." Crabb maintains that recent defensive woes have been caused by a lack of focus. "Every goal [against] is a mistake," he said. "Sometimes teams and players, they make unbelievable plays and you cant really defend them, but for the most part [recently] every one of them can be cleaned up and like I said, thats just everybody focusing for sixty minutes." Crabb notched an assist in nearly 15 minutes of ice-time on Tuesday. Bonus Points With the late goal, Kessel matched a career-high with his 64th point of the season. The 24-year-old set the mark last season…Tim Connolly scored his ninth goal of the season in the opening frame, deflecting a Cody Franson shot past Martin Brodeur. It was just Connollys second goal and fifth point in the last 20 games...Grabovski snapped a six-game pointless streak with an assist on MacArthurs goal…The Leaf powerplay was 0-2 in defeat, dropping to 6-54 in the last 18 games. The unit has dropped to ninth overall at 18.9%...The Leafs and Devils had split the previous two meetings…Carl Gunnarsson logged 22:43 in his first game back from an ankle injury…Phaneuf dropped the gloves for the third time this season, a first period scrap with Clarkson. The fight followed an elbow from Phaneuf on Parise. ' ' '

(Sports Network) - The Chicago Blackhawks have won three straight tests to force tonights decisive Game 7 in Vancouver. Mark Teixeira Jersey . The defending Stanley Cup champions will try to complete the amazing comeback when they visit the top- seeded Canucks at Rogers Arena for the finale of Western Conference quarterfinals. When the eighth-seeded Blackhawks lost the first three games of this series it appeared that the clubs title defense was going to be short-lived. However, Chicago posted blowout victories in Games 4 and 5 and then made this evenings showdown a necessity by recording an overtime win Sunday in the Windy City. Of course, only three teams in NHL history have ever come back from a three- games-to-none deficit to win a series, but it happened last spring when the Philadelphia Flyers rallied to defeat Boston in seven games during the Eastern Conference semifinals. The 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs and the 1975 New York Islanders are the only other clubs to win a series after trailing 3-0. The Canucks have never lost a series that they have led three-games-to-none. Vancouvers only series defeat with a 3-1 lead came in the 2003 conference semifinals against Minnesota. Vancouver has been eliminated from the postseason by the Blackhawks in each of the last two springs. Both times Chicago ousted the Canucks in six games during the conference semifinals. The Blackhawks and Canucks both have 5-4 records all-time in Game 7 situations. The Canucks are also trying to avoid becoming the third straight Presidents Trophy winner to lose in the first round. Washington was bounced out by Montreal in the Eastern Conference quarterfinals after having the leagues best record last spring and San Jose was ousted two years ago by eighth-seeded Anaheim. The Blackhawks earned their latest victory in 4-3 fashion thanks to Ben Smiths game-winner at 15:30 of overtime. With time winding down in the first OT, Niklas Hjalmarsson fired a shot on net from the point. Smith, who played in just six regular season games, used his backhand to jam home the rebound for the thrilling victory at the 15:30 mark. I really just wanted to get to the front of the net, Smith said. Hjalmarsson made a great hard shot and the rebound was right there for me. However, the story of the game was Vancouvers decision to start Cory Schneider over Roberto Luongo, who was pulled from the previous two contests. Making his first career playoff start, Schneider stopped 17-of-20 shots before leaving early in the third period with an injury. Luongo, who started 60 games during the regular season and was named as one of three finalists for this years Vezina Trophy, played the rest of the game and turned aside 12-of-13 shots. All year long weve used both goaltenders and Ill tell you the truth, I went with a gut, I thought Cory could give us a good game tonight, Canucks head coach Alain Vigneault said. Of course, Vigneaults decision to start Schneider over his supposed franchise goaltender has been criticized extensively, and its no surprise he is going back to Luongo as the starter tonight. However, Schneiders injury was apparently just a cramping issue so he will be available for tonights test, if needed. Vancouver took a 3-2 lead Sunday on Kevin Bieksas goal just 58 seconds into the third period, but Bieksa made a big mistake at the 2:31 mark, tripping Chicagos Michael Frolik on a breakaway to give the Blackhawks a penalty shot. Frolik scored on Schneider to tie things up and that was the last play of the game for Vancouvers starting goaltender. Schneider did a split trying to stop Froliks attempt, and after favoring his right leg, he was replaced by Luongo. It was the first successful penalty shot in Chicago playoff history. Dave Bolland had a goal and an assist for the Blackhawks and Bryan Bickell also scored. Rookie goaltender Corey Crawford made 32 saves to post the win for Chicago. The Canucks played most of Game 6 without defenseman Sami Salo and he is questionable for tonights game with an undisclosed injury. Chicago, meanwhile, is expected to be without forward Tomas Kopecky again. Kopecky hasnt played since suffering an upper body injury in Game 1. Vancouver is 2-1 on home ice in this series, taking the opener by a 2-0 score and notching a 4-3 win in Game 2 before getting slammed, 5-0, in Game 5. The Canucks had a 27-9-5 record as the host during the regular season, while Chicago struggled to a 20-12-9 mark as the guest. Chicago and Vancouver have met two other times in the postseason in addition to their 2009 and 2010 semifinal bouts, and the Blackhawks own a 3-1 edge all- time against the Canucks in the playoffs. Matt Hasselbeck Elite Jersey . The Americans were coming off a 5-3 victory over Belarus on Thursday and improved to 3-1-1 in Group A. Tampa Bay Lightning forward J.T. Brown opened the scoring 4:12 into the second period. Kazakhstans Konstantin Pushkaryov tied it four minutes later on a power play. Babe Ruth Jersey . His initial reaction? More pain than jubilation. After all, taking a 96 mph fastball in the side can hurt. Brandon Beachy Jersey . Actually, theres a perfectly good explanation why one of the more tense moments for any goaltender happens to put Rinne in a comfort zone. Ken Griffey Jersey . Carlos Boozer notched a double-double with 27 points and 11 rebounds, while Luol Deng added 17 points and eight rebounds for the Bulls, who have won seven straight at home and 10 straight in this series. Ian Kinsler Jersey . Hamels (9-10) gave up just three hits to go with seven strikeouts and three walks to pick up his second straight win. Ryan Madson recorded his fifth save of the year. "Its grueling. You really discover who you are, what you can do, and what youre capable of," Hamels said of being in close games.TORONTO -- The world championships may have been moved from Tokyo to Moscow, but Toronto figure skater Patrick Chan still has Japan in his thoughts. GLENDALE, Ariz. Philip Rivers Youth Jersey . -- The BCS system left Oklahoma State bitter. After a thrilling win in the Fiesta Bowl, the Cowboys have a chance to throw stick in the spokes. Surviving a missed field goal at the end of regulation and getting a big kick of its own in overtime, No. 3 Oklahoma State opened the door for the chance at a split national championship with a wildly entertaining 41-38 win over No. 4 Stanford on Monday night. "We feel like we could beat anyone in the country," Cowboys receiver Colton Chelf said. Oklahoma State (12-1) kept pace with Andrew Luck and the high-scoring Cardinal, getting huge performances from its two stars, Brandon Weeden and Justin Blackmon, in their final collegiate game. Weeden threw for 399 yards and three touchdown passes to Blackmon, who announced hes leaving for the NFL after catching eight passes for 186 yards. All that and the Cowboys fortunes came down to two legs, those of Stanford kicker Jordan Williamson and their own Jordan Sharp. Williamson couldnt come through. The redshirt freshman missed a 35-yard field goal wide left as time expired in regulation and another from 43 yards to open overtime. Given a chip shot after Weeden hit Chelf on a 24-yard pass -- initially ruled a touchdown but overturned on review -- Sharp came through, sending his 22-yard field goal through the uprights and the Cowboys charging onto the field. Should Alabama knock off top-ranked LSU in next weeks BCS championship game, Oklahoma State will be right there, ready to stake its claim at being No. 1 in The Associated Press poll. "There is nothing we can do from here," said Blackmon, a projected first-round NFL pick who tied the Fiesta Bowl record with his three touchdowns. "I do think we do have the best team in the nation." Stanford (11-2) had its chances. The Cardinal had 590 yards of offence -- nearly 200 more than Oklahoma State -- got another stellar game from Luck before he heads off to the NFL and ran over Oklahoma States defence behind Stepfan Taylor. They just couldnt finish it off. Luck calmly led Stanford 63 yards over the final 2:35 of regulation to set up a chance at winning its second BCS bowl game in two years. Instead, Williamson missed in regulation, again in overtime and was left sobbing in front of his locker while his coaches and teammates tried to shoulder some of the blame. "In the end, we lost, and Im as much to blame as anyone," Luck said. Taylor ran for 177 yards and a pair of scores. Luck was his usual steady self, hitting 27 of 31 passes for 347 yards and two touchdowns with an interception. The Cardinal held Oklahoma State to 15 yards rushing on 13 carries and didnt give up the lead until the final play. It still wasnt enough, the Cardinals hopes sailing wide left off the right foot of Williamson, who missed three field goals after missing three all season. "Theres an old saying that adversity reveals character -- and thats not just for him, thats for all of us," Stanford coach David Shaw said. The Fiesta Bowl needed a pick-me-up game after the year it had. Last years game was a dud on pretty much all accounts. Connecticut had trouble filling its allotment of tickets and keeping up with Oklahoma -- a 48-20 rout -- leading to a big dip in the ratings. Not long after that, the bowl got tangled in controversy, nearly losing its BCS status following financial improprieties that were uncovered and led to the firing of executive director John Junker. This matchup figured to be the ticket to match the golden jackets worn by Fiesta Bowl officials. Oklahoma State has an electrifying offence -- second in scoring, third in total yards -- run by the 28-year-old Weeden and featuring Blackmon, the two-time Biletnikoff Award winner. The Cowboys also came in with a chip on their shoulder, believing they should have gotten a shot at the BCS title game instead of it being a rematch of the field-goal-kicking Game of the Century earlier this season between Alabama and LSU. Finishing a tantalizingly close .0086 behind the Crimson Tide in the BCS standings, Oklahoma State had plenty to prove, with booster T. Boone Pickens saying the Cowboys should get first-place votes in The Associated Press poll with a Fiesta win and a loss by LSU in the title game. Across the field was Stanford, another one-loss team that could have a legitimate beef with the BCS system. The Cardinal lost to eventual Pac-12 champion Oregon and crushed nearly everyone else with an offence that was top-15 in scoring and yardage. Stanford also has Luck, the two-time Heisman Trophy runner-up and all-but-certain No. 1 overall NFL pick, complemented by a powerful running game thats as good as any anywhere. The Fiesta Bowl had a pretty good lead-in, too: Oregons wild, 45-38 win over Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl. Stanford had the advantage early, piling up 225 yards while going up 14-0 early in the second quarter on Lucks 53-yard touchdown pass to Ty Montgomery and Jeremy Stewart ran for a 24-yard score. With its offence stranded in the desert early and Blackmon nowhere to be found, Oklahoma State got back in it quickly, thanks to Blackmon. The junior caught his first pass by splitting the middle of Stanfords defence for a 43-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter, then showed off his power on the next, brushing off a defender like a jacket over his shoulder before racing for a 67-yard touchdown that tied it 14-all. Two big catches, 110 yards and the offensive show was on. Taylor scored on a four-yard run and the Cowboys answered, tying it 21-all at halftime on Weedens first career rushing touchdown, an ugly-but-effective two-yarder. Luck hit Zach Ertz on a six-yard touchdown pass to open the third quarter and, after the teams traded field goals, Weeden found Blackmon for a third time, on a 17-yard crossing pass that tied the game at 31. Taylor put Stanford up 38-31 with 4 1/2 minutes left, ducking behind Stanfords massive offensive line for a one-yard touchdown. Oklahoma State answered quickly, moving 67 yards in less than two minutes to tie it on Joseph Randles four-yard touchdown run. The Cowboys left too much time for Luck, but Stanfords luck ran out when Williamson couldnt come through in regulation and again in overtime. Oklahoma State celebrated what they thought was a touchdown by Chelf in overtime, then did it for real after the replay and Sharps kick. "Our team rallied. Every time we got down, they just found a way to come back," said Cowboys coach Mike Gundy, who dedicated the victory to the four people who died in the Nov. 17 plane crash that killed Oklahoma State womens basketball coach Kurt Budke and assistant Miranda Serna. And now the Cowboys can watch the national title game with a rooting interest, ready to stake their claim should the cards fall right. Tom Brady Jersey . Their supporting cast came up even bigger, sealing the Los Angeles Lakers 92-88 victory over Denver on Sunday night that put the Nuggets on the brink of elimination. Bryant had 22 points and Bynum added 19 to help the Lakers overcome a six-point halftime deficit and take a 3-1 lead in the first-round playoff series that they can wrap up Tuesday night when the series shifts back to Staples Center for Game 5. Sixth-man Jordan Hill had 12 points and 11 rebounds, and recently acquired guard Ramon Sessions and reserve point guard Steve Blake each hit crucial 3-pointers in the final minute as the Lakers broke free. Those were the players the Nuggets preferred had the ball in crunch time, and Bryant wasnt at all hesitant to oblige. "Sessions has hit big 3s. Even when I was out he hit some big 3s to win games. He did it again tonight. I have confidence in him," Bryant said. "If youre observing the game in the third quarter I hit Sessions for an open shot, Blake for an open shot and (Matt) Barnes for an open shot and they missed all three of them. George (Karl), being observant as he is, saw I was (ticked). I was and didnt think I would trust them at the end of the game to knock down those shots, but they stepped up and knocked them down." With the game tied at 86, Danilo Gallinari was covering Bryant when a hard screen from Pau Gasol sent the Italian to the floor grabbing his throat. While Gallinari stayed down, Sessions 3-pointer from just in front of the Nuggets bench put the Lakers ahead 89-86 with 48 seconds remaining. "It was a tough pick, youve got to expect that in the playoffs," Gallinari said. "Ive got to be ready and play defence. Unfortunately, they hit a big shot out of that." Andre Miller was whistled for basket interference at the other end, and Bryant found Blake for a 3-pointer from the left corner with 18.9 seconds left for a six-point cushion, L.A.s biggest of the night. Blake got a bear hug from Bryant during the 20-second timeout. "Those moments dont scare him," Bryant said. "Its always good when you get a hug from Kobe. It means you did something right," Blake said. "It was a total team effort for us tonight." Sessions, whose acquisition from Cleveland this spring led to the trade of five-time NBA champion Derek Fisher, finished with 12 points, and Blake had 10. "They got the two 3s to go down at the end of the game," Karl said, "but conceptually what were trying to do at the end of the game is not let Kobe, Bynum and Gasol beat you. Philip Rivers Jersey. " Instead, it was Sessions, Blake and Hill that did the damage. Gallinari led the Nuggets with 20 points, and Miller had 15. After torching the Lakers for 50 points combined in the previous two games, Ty Lawson was held to 11 points and Nuggets big men Kenneth Faried and JaVale McGee werent nearly as effective on offence or disruptive defensively as they were in Game 2, when they combined for 28 points and 30 rebounds. Together, they had 14 points and 11 rebounds Sunday. Bynum, who blamed his scoreless first half 48 hours earlier on failing to properly prepare in the pregame, was much more active early on, scoring 11 in the first half, which ended with the Lakers trailing 51-45. The game was briefly delayed with 1:10 left in the first half when a female fan started walking across the court while the Nuggets were setting up a play. The woman walked several steps onto the court as Lawson brought the ball past halfcourt. Officials blew the whistle to stop the play and the woman was escorted away by security. The woman, identified as 20-year-old Savannah McMillan-Christmas of Denver, was cited for trespassing. Al Harrington scored nine points in his return to the Nuggets lineup. He started out with a clear face mask protecting his nose that was broken Friday night by an inadvertent elbow from Bynum, but he ditched the mask in a matter of minutes. Harrington missed his first six shots but then sank four straight, including a 3-pointer that put the Nuggets ahead 76-75 early in the fourth quarter. The Nuggets, who have hung tough since getting blown out in the series opener, face a daunting task of winning three straight, including two at the Staples Center, where they never led in Games 1 and 2. "Losing always gets old. Losing is not fun. Im not unhappy with my team, Im not happy with where were at, but we still have a series to play," Karl said. "I dont think its an impossible challenge. I think its a great challenge for this young team. For me, Ive been blessed with having great runs in the playoffs and I think I probably have one or two more left in me in my lifetime. Id like to see it come this year." Notes: Miller stole the ball from Matt Barnes and drew a clear-path foul from Barnes five minutes before halftime. ... For the second straight game, McGees mother, Pamela McGee, who played in the WNBA, was seated courtside near the Nuggets bench. At one point, her son jumped over Bynum, who was whistled for travelling as he found his path to the basket blocked by his counterpart 7-foot centre. ' ' '

PARIS -- Paris Saint-Germain took the next step in its quest for European domination by announcing Carlo Ancelotti as its new coach on Friday. Houston Texans Nike Jersey . Having secured Qatari backing, and spent C82 million ($116 million) on players, PSGs next objective was to recruit a coach of world renown, who will help attract star players to the club. Ancelotti, the former Chelsea, AC Milan and Juventus manager, replaced Antoine Kombouare, who left his job earlier Friday even though PSG leads the French standings at the halfway stage of the season. "I think I can do a great job to help PSG become a big club in Europe," Ancelotti said. "We have a lot of ambition. We want to win the title and take part in the Champions League next season. We want to make this club bigger than it is today, do the best we can in France and in Europe. We want to stay at the top in France and improve certain things." PSG has not played in the Champions League since 2004, but was a semifinalist in the competition in 1995 and won the now defunct European Cup Winners Cup the following year. Ancelottis appointment on a 2 1/2 year contract had been expected since the clubs sporting director Leonardo met with the 52-year-old Italian in Paris last month. "Im here to bring my knowledge, I will observe the behaviour of the players and I will add some touches if necessary," Ancelotti said. "I want good organization, a strong attack, a good defence. We will look to play attacking football." Ancelotti led Milan to the Champions League title in 2003 and 2007, and guided Chelsea to the Premier League and FA Cup double two seasons ago. "I did an honourable job with Milan and Chelsea, and I hope to do the same here," Ancelotti said. "At one stage I never envisaged leaving Italy. When I left Italy, I wondered how things would go. I found out about a new country, the way people are. I liked it and I hope to do the same here." Ancelottis experience and success comes at a price and protracted negotiations lasted two days. Ancelotti and Leonardo spent large parts of Wednesday and Thursday together as they dodged reporters waiting outside the Parc des Princes stadium and photographers camped outside a Parisian hotel. Leonardo would not reveal Ancelottis salary, but it is likely to be much higher than any other coach has ever been paid in the French league, with local media reports estimating his annual pay to be C6 million ($8.5 million). "Ancelottis salary is within the market," Leonardo said. "Its a price that other big European clubs would be willing to pay. Theres a European market, but realizing this is new in France. I know its difficult for some to understand. "But what drives this club is passion, not money." Ancelotti could be followed to the club by several big-name players in January, including former England captain David Beckham, who is weighing up a move from Los Angeles Galaxy. The new coach would not be drawn on which players he might target with the hefty financial backing of owners Qatar Sports Investment, who took over in June. He did admit, however, that he admired AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato, who is struggling to get into Milans team. "I dont know if its a good idea to name names right now as these are players who have a certain status in their clubs," he said. "I didnt come here to completely shake up the team. Its in first place." Former France midfielder Claude Makelele will take on a coaching role under Ancelotti, who was sacked by Chelsea in May after failing to win a trophy in his second season. "The English experience helped me a lot, it was a fantastic experience, but there is a great challenge here with PSG," Ancelotti said. "The club has everything to succeed and enormous ambition." QSI has been extensively using the Italian connection to bring PSG back to the top. Ancelotti, Leonardo and general director Jean-Claude Blanc all have a proven track record in Italy. Leonardo played for AC Milan before becoming a scout, helping the Italian club sign Kaka and Pato when Ancelotti was coaching the Rossoneri. Leonardo was named technical director in 2008 and took over the coaching duties when Ancelotti departed for Chelsea the following year. Blanc was the chief executive officer at Juventus from 2006 and became chairman of the board in 2009. The Frenchman oversaw the financing for the construction of the new Juventus Stadium and took care of revenue development. "Working together is easier when you have a good relationship," Ancelotti said. "Its very stimulating to work alongside him and Jean-Claude Blanc. We want to do something very big on an international scale." Blaine Gabbert Jersey . The National Peoples Congress deputy Zhou Hongyu talks with reporters on Monday. From Huazhong Normal University in Hubei province, the 53-year-old has established himself as a top national lawmaker known for advocating free compulsory education in China. [PhotoChina Daily] BEIJING - When he was elected to the countrys top legislature in 2003, Professor Zhou Hongyu said he was a mere student who didnt know how to behave. But Zhou knew one thing for sure: He would start to push legislation much the way he pursues academic achievements - with passion, tenacity and innovation. Today, the 53-year-old from Huazhong Normal University in Hubei province has established himself as a top national lawmaker, known for advocating free compulsory education in China. Related readings: Lawmakers will be targeting well-being NPC promises more special inquiries Famous surgeon, former lawmaker dies Expectations from NPC Passion is one of the most important traits of a scholar as well as a lawmaker, Zhou told China Daily. In both realms, I want to do my best and get the most out of it. Before he landed his new job, Zhou had been a political adviser to the city government of Wuhan, the capital of Hubei, and had proposed making an education development plan for the city. In his field study at a school in a village in Xiaogan city in early 2003, Zhou saw a scene that pulled on his heartstrings: A block of sprawling houses fitted with broken desks and benches, and rows of students reading with their eyes almost pressed against the books because they could not afford electricity. The scenario reminded Zhou of the gloomy and bleak days when he was sent from Wuhan for labor re-education to a desolate rural area during the cultural revolution (1966-1976). He came to Beijing in March 2003 for the annual parliamentary session. When he found he did not stand a chance to speak to Wen Jiabao, then a vice-premier who joined a panel discussion with Zhous delegation, Zhou ventured to tuck his proposal into Wens hand, asking for free compulsory education for rural children. Zhou followed the action by submitting a motion to the legislature, urging the government to foot the bill for nine-year basic schooling in the countryside. According to Chinas constitution, a motion submitted by a deputy of the National Peoples Congress becomes legally binding when it is adopted. Zhous proposal attracted a lot of public discussion in 2003, and two years later it became reality. George Brett Jersey. Many political advisers and lawmakers have made similar appeals before, but to no avail. Why? Because their proposals did not come up with why, how and when - the tenable reasons, feasible measures and a roadmap for free compulsory education, said Zhou, who has had about 100 motions and proposals adopted. For each proposal, Zhou uses the Internet to solicit and share ideas with his constituents. He created a website (www.hongyu-online.com) in late 2003, becoming the first national legislator in the country to use a personal website for legislative purposes. Both government officials and colleagues told Zhou that seeking free compulsory education was a lofty ideal, but not a realistic one. Yet Zhou refused to give up. Another reason that sustained his perseverance, Zhou said, was that he wanted to do his best, lest he let down his constituents. Members of the China Association for Promoting Democracy had given him great support, he said. Zhou is a member of the association, which is composed mainly of intellectuals. He calculated how much the government will need to spend each year if free education is implemented, specifically the amount for the years leading up to 2010. I found that financially the country is well able to implement the free education program, Zhou said. In 2004, Zhou again sought legislation on free compulsory education for rural areas, emphasizing the feasibility and urgency of the move, which he said would promote social equity in education. In 2005, the proposal became a policy that benefited 30 million primary and junior high school students across the country, who had their tuition and book fees exempted. Those from poverty-stricken counties were also entitled to subsidies. In the ensuing years, Zhou continued his legislation roadmap for free education: first for the rural poor, then for the whole countryside, and finally compulsory education in cities as well. China now has nine-year free compulsory education throughout the country. In March 2008, when he began his second term as national legislator, Zhou published two books on how to be a legislator, especially on how to prepare and produce motions. As a deputy of the National Peoples Congress, you can do many things that you couldnt have imagined when in the Ivory Tower, he said. The job, however, doesnt prevent me from becoming a professor of stature, said Zhou, an author of a dozen books on education studies. ' ' '

TORONTO -- The Calgary Roughnecks intend to make amends for falling agonizingly short last year. Nolan Ryan Jersey . They had the best regular-season record in the National Lacrosse League at 11-5, and mowed down Colorado before losing the West Division final by two goals to Washington. They were so close to going all the way. So when they started the new season against the Toronto Rock on Sunday, they played with a hunger that would not allow them to fail. They won the NLL season opener 12-9 despite giving up the games first five goals. "We feel we have unfinished business," said goaltender Mike Poulin. "Toronto won the championship last year when we felt we had the opportunity to get there but we didnt do our job. Weve wiped the slate clean. This year were coming after the win every week." Opening with road games in Toronto and Everett, Wash., where they play this Saturday, is an immense challenge, but the Necks are up for it. "We didnt get the easiest schedule in the world but thats great for us," Poulin said. "We welcome it. We want to play the best. Were going to see them eventually so lets see them right away." Dane Dobbie had three goals including an empty-netter, Scott Ranger and Shawn Evans fired in two each and Cory Conway, Mike Carnegie, Darryl Veltman, Jeff Shattler and Curtis Dickson added one apiece. Garrett Billings, Josh Sanderson, Sandy Chapman, Stephen Hoar, Kasey Beirnes, Blaine Manning, Colin Doyle, Phil Sanderson and Dan Carey replied for Toronto. Matt Roik took the loss in his Rock debut. Calgary outshot Toronto 53-38 in front of 10,341, who must have figured the Rock were going to roll to victory after going up 5-0 by the end of the first quarter. "We were running around and not playing our game," Poulin said of his teams early difficulties. "We were letting them dictate the flow. Once we settled down and got our heads into the game things turned around for us." What followed was one of the biggest collapses in Rock history. "We let the game get away," Doyle said. "I dont know why but we did. "We were in complete control and playing immaculate lacrosse. I cant explain it. A championship team is not going to let games get away like that. They were a hungry team, as every team coming in here this year is going to be. Weve got to learn from it." It was 6-3 at halftime and 8-8 after three quarters and Ranger fired two balls past Roik early in the fourth to put Calgary ahead for good. "We showed a lot of confidence in each other and thats going to count for a lot as the season goes along," Ranger said. "I had a tough start to the game so I was happy to be able to help the boys out in the fourth. I got a couple of good picks from Shawnie Evans and I was fortunate enough to put the ball in the net." Poulin said he wasnt surprised at all about what happened in the second half. "I knew we had a good enough squad to come back," he said. "Lacrosse is a game of runs. They went on their run and it was time for us to go on ours." Evans, who was acquired from Rochester for the No. 5 entry draft pick last September, played his first NLL game for Calgary. "It was incredible putting on the red and the black," said the feisty forward. "Weve got a great group of guys. We started off a little slow but we hung together and came out flying in the second half to come out with a big win. "Weve all got the same goal: to win the Champions Cup and were going to do whatever it takes." Said 2011 league MVP Shattler: "We didnt want to come all this way for nothing. We battled back like a championship team should." Head coach Dave Pym was understandably proud of his players. "We showed a lot of poise and patience," he said. "When we got in our groove, we just maintained a nice even keel and that paid dividends for us. There was no need to panic when he fell behind. We stuck with the game plan and came out in the second half and played a much better game." Roik wasnt to blame for Torontos loss. "We played well but we laid off the gas in the second half," he said. "Collectively, weve all got to be better -- from the goalie out." Torontos defence allowed too many quality shots. "Weve got to focus on playing a full 60 minutes as a defence or theyll pick you apart," said Rock defenceman Pat Merrill. "Roik made some unbelievable saves in the first quarter to shut them out. I dont think we played horrible as a defence but our strength is to be aggressive and we were too tentative, especially in the second half." Coach Troy Cordingley wasnt throwing chairs, but he was clearly disappointed. "We were real good for about 22 minutes," he said. "We were moving the ball well and we had some great chances. After that, I dont know if it was about trying to be the hero or what, trying to get the big goal by ourselves, but it wasnt good. Weve got to go back to the drawing board. We know teams are going to come at us like this. Weve got lots to learn from that one." Rimouski won the best-of-seven Western Conference final 4-2 and will now face the top-seeded Saint John Sea Dogs for the Presidents Cup. Peter Trainor and Scott Oke also scored for the Oceanic while Alexandre Mallet picked up a single assist to improve his team-leading points total to 22 in 17 contests. Alexandre Grenier and Konrad Abeltshauser scored for the Mooseheads, who dropped the final two games of the series by a combined score of 12-2. Nathan MacKinnon and Jonathan Drouin each chipped in with two assists for Halifax. For MacKinnon, the two points gave him 28 in 17 games, which is best of all rookie skaters in the playoffs. Jacob Gervais-Chouinard made 19 saves for the win while Zachary Fucale, the much busier of the two goaltenders, turned away 42 shots in ddefeat. Mariano Rivera Jersey. Despite the loss, Fucale was named the games first star as his 37 saves through regulation time helped to keep his clubs season alive. The Mooseheads had to play without their captain Cameron Critchlow after he received a Game Misconduct in Game 5 for an altercation with Rimouskis Jonathan Lavoie. Rimouski failed to score on three chances with the man advantage as Halifax went 1 for 3. Game 1 of the Presidents Cup final will be held at Harbour Station on Friday in Saint John. Trainor opened the scoring at 16:04 of the first period to give the Oceanic a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes of play. Grenier tied the game at 7:27 of the second for Halifax and Abeltshauser made it 2-1 for the Mooseheads 2:23 later. Even though they were being outshot 27-11 after 40 minutes of play, Halifax looked to have the series going to a seventh game until Oke tied the contest with just 4:13 to play in regulation. DeFulviis ended the series with Rimouskis 45th shot on goal. ' ' '

NEWARK, N. Tony Oliva Jersey .J. -- Henrik Tallinder remembers the phone call in January from the New Jersey Devils medical staff. He had been in excruciating pain, his left leg swollen. He was told he had acute thrombophlebitis. In plain English: a blood clot that would sideline him about two months. Now its June, and Tallinder just last week was cleared to play again. The problem is the Stanley Cup playoffs are almost over and the 33-year-old Swedish defenceman is just hoping for a shot at playing in the final round against the Los Angeles Kings. "Im good. Im ready," Tallinder said this week. "I dont know, I mean, the coach has to make the call. But, as I said, I feel physically fine. I dont have any issues. Ive been practicing for two, three weeks now, and I feel good. I mean, if I get the chance, its a dream come true. This is where you want to play." Tallinder, in his ninth season, almost made it to the Cup finals in 2006 with Buffalo. However, he broke his left arm in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals against the eventual champion Carolina Hurricanes. This injury is an altogether different matter. "When you get it and you read what it is, you are concerned about it and realize its serious stuff," he said. "You learn about it, deal with it and move on. But when its in your legs, you are concerned about it travelling to your lungs and its game over." Tallinder used blood thinners to eradicate the clot, but his comeback was slow. Even now that he is off the medication, he still has to be careful. Taking a flight with the team to Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4 on Monday and Wednesday requires precautions. Doctors have advised Tallinder to wear compression stockings, stay well hydrated and to get up and walk at times during the flight. Tallinder didnt seem to know exactly how he was hurt. His last game was against Winnipeg on Jan. 17. He could have been hit by a slapshot, or slashed or simply been dehydrated and took a flight. The doctors told him his clot started as an infection in his vein. "It hurt and I was limping," Tallinder said. "I thought I blocked a shot or it might have been a charley horse, but it never got better, just worse and worse and worse. Then it was excruciating pain and it swelled and it was huge. It could happen to anyone but its a freaky thing that happens. Now I know how it feels and how it occurs." Devils coach Peter DeBoer said before Game 2 on Saturday that he was thinking of getting Tallinder back in the lineup. "I do know this: I know hes kept himself in great shape," DeBoer said. "He looks good in practice. Before he went out, he was a top two defenceman for us. You miss two, 2-2 1/2 months. It didnt hurt (Travis) Zajac coming back in. I know youre jumping into the Stanley Cup Final, not into the last week of the regular season. But (Jacob) Josefson jumped in last round against the Rangers coming off six weeks out with a broken wrist, and it didnt hurt him. You know, you hope you get the desired result, but you never know." Tallinder isnt the only veteran hoping to get back into the finals. Kings forward Simon Gagne is ready to go after being sidelined with a concussion since late December. The way the Kings are going, however, coach Darryl Sutter has been staying pat with his lineup. "I have been in this league for more than 12 years, and I got close once in Philly in 2010 and I got a conference finals Game 7 three times, and close to go to the finals again," Gagne said Saturday after the Kings held a pre-game skate at the Prudential Center. "I know its hard to win, so any chance you get to go there and any chance you get to play for that big trophy, youre going to take it." Gagne also knows the opportunity to hoist the Cup does not come along often. "At this point of my career, you never know, this might be my last chance to taste something like that," he said. "Playing or not playing, a lot of things happened in my career that Im glad that I am here and in that position right now." Karlos Dansby Jersey . McQuades second goal, scored with six minutes remaining in the third period, was the game-winner as the Gatineau Olympiques edged the Drummondville Voltigeurs 3-2 on Sunday. Jake McGee Jersey . SHANGHAI - A watch with a micro recorder worn by Qian Yunhui, a former village leader, has been found and supports the previous conclusion that his death was an accident, Wenzhou police said on Saturday. Debate was sparked throughout the country following the recent decapitation of the 53-year-old Qian, a leader in the Zhaiqiao village in Yueqing, a city in East Chinas Zhejiang province. In the past six years, Qian led local villagers in protests against the expropriation of their farmland for industrial development. Qian was killed in a traffic accident on the morning of Dec 25. According to authorities in Zhejiang province, his head was severed by a truck driven by an unlicensed driver, and his death was not the result of malicious intrigue, Related readings: Foul play suspected in death of village head News media should guard against Internet manipulation But Qians fellow villagers and Chinese netizens believed that Qian was deliberately held beneath the trucks tire. Their suspicions grew after two pictures of the incidents aftermath were circulated online. One shows Qian wearing a watch on his wrist wwhen he died, while another shows Qian with nothing on his wrist. Josh Cribbs Jersey. That minor difference stirred speculation that the watch might contain a micro recorder. Detailed information about the accident, some said, might have been recorded and, if recovered, could lead to knowledge of the real cause of Qians death. Wenzhou police said the watch does contain such a device and that it was recording during the entire time of the accident. According to the police, Wang Liquan, a local villager, took the watch off Qians wrist after the wreck and hid it at a neighbors home. Wang told authorities that he got the watch on Jan 13 and sent it to the police the next day. The police said the recording supports the previous conclusion that Qian was killed by a traffic accident instead of a well-plotted murder. The watch device will be used to furnish evidence when the court holds a hearing on the case on Feb 1. Qian Yunhuis family members have accepted a compensation deal of 1.05 million yuan ($159,574) from the driver and his employer, and Qian Chengxu, Qian Yunhuis son, said they will soon cremate his fathers body, according to Oriental Morning Post.
