One of history's most famous people, Mary Queen of Scots lived a turbulent and romantic life. Sent to France at age 6, she married Francis I at 16, was widowed at 18, married Henry Stuart for lust, then after his murder she married James Hepburn, the Earl of Bothwell. Finally, she was executed by her cousin Elizabeth of England after twenty years in captivity. Of the many mysteries surrounding Mary, the most prevalent is the mystery of her involvement with the murder of Henry Darnley at Kirk O' Field and her subsequent marriage to Bothwell less than a year later. Despite the tragedies of her life, Mary eventually achieved the ultimate triumph, every English monarch since James I is her direct descendant.
