Garnet is an ancient, deep red gem whose history dates from centuries BC. Noah used it as a bow light on his 40 days/nights sailing. It is the birthstone for January, and was once thought to help resist melancholy, ward off evil spirits, spark creativity and remedy anger and discord. Garnet was also a health talisman for travellers and is widely believed to have been named for the seeds of the pomegranate.
Perhaps Garnet Fancy will continue to possess these interesting attributes? It is also red - very red in fact - but certainly not garish or gaudy - and it enjoys a superb location on a moderate elevation, overlooking the ocean. The only thing fanciful about this property would probably be the conical roofline!
The entire ground floor is given over to easy access, comprising lounge and entertainment areas, kitchen/dining and of course the main bathroom - and not to overlook the brick floored patio which has been set up for al fresco dining. This outdoor room would, of course, be the obvious place to enjoy a simple breath of fresh, salt air.
The first level is home to 3 bedrooms - 2 doubles and a twin - all quite large and all with bathroom access. There is a large feature painting in the master bedroom, which gives an added sense of spaciousness. A study has been incorporated at the end of this wing. The windowed, connecting hallway from the stairwell is roomy enough to accommodate an easy chair or two, if desired. Top floor is the open-plan recreation space. Interior decoration includes premium curtains/drapes on all windows, fitted carpets in the main rooms and easy-care ceramic tile in wet areas. Landscaping is very low maintenance, consisting entirely of a natural, grassed area dotted with mature trees; this treatment provides a wide canvas for future artistic development, but would be more than acceptable, left as it is now.
Garnet Fancy is a wonderful chance to invest in light and space on a fairly modest floorplan. It is suggested you inspect at your earliest opportunity - you are sure to take a fancy to this particular Garnet.
