This recreation is NOT to scale. I apologize in advance for any imperfections you die hard Resident Evil 1 fans may spot with my 2 lots. TS3 itself is an imperfect game, and what with several Build Mode restrictions (especially for the base game, which lacks the convenience of tombs/traps, firemen poles, elevators and the like) it was especially hard for me to accurately recreate several parts of the mansion and basement levels the way I would have liked. Also, I had to squish a few rooms and corridors in order to force them to fit on the dinky sized lots EA gives us--a 100x100 size lot would have been SWEET ^-^ (would have saved me the trouble of having to make a whole other lot just for the Courtyard/Guardhouse/Lab)--so that was another issue you will no doubt see evidence of as your sims complain about tight corners here and there--bloody crybabies. I even had to reorient and rotate certain rooms just so that they could fit on the lot. As I said: this recreation is probably 70-80% to scale, if that. My biggest problem was the Laboratory--I could NOT get the basement levels to go down the ONE extra level I needed in order to add the final stage where the Tyrant is fought in the B4 Lab, so if you're wondering wtf happened to it...well...it's one floor UP! Yes: I had to put B4 on the same level as B3--so corny, but a necessary Evil--pun intended. Also, the Power House is totally flipped--I told you; I reoriented it, sorry! If you look at a RE Map of the laboratory, you will notice that the Power House goes vertically down the map, while mine goes horizontally. There was no other way to fit it on the lot, the way I built it. And I admittedly omitted the Boiler Room and 3rd floor attic in the Mansion--there was no room for the Boiler Room in the East Wing, and I was too uninterested in the dinky attic to bother adding one--attribute it to my omnipresent laziness.
So, there you have it: the reason why it took me practically half a YEAR to finish these two measely lots. Not to mention the fact that prior to even starting working on them I had to go through the WHOLE stinkin game--BEST ENDING STYLE, mind you!!!!--in order to map out each and every rooms' details that the game had to offer--INCLUDING the secret closet you access AFTER beating the game--did I mention BEST ENDING STYLE!!!??? So I don't wanna hear ANY complaints--if you hate it, go and play that game ONCE--BEST ENDING STYLE!!!--and then tell me some news. *grumble grumble* Just kidding! LOL I REALLY hope you all like it a lot--I worked SO HARD to get this done right, and on time for Halloween! It's the biggest project I've done to date, and I hope I did the game justice.
