Lily and Sheena Maye had finally done it!
At last, after three years of scrimping and saving, they had managed to put down a deposit on their own home in Deep Water Bend - a small hamlet located on the shores of Deep Water Bay.

Excitement was high on the day they moved in as they posed for happy snaps in front of the new house taken by their proud parents and then tried to relax and settle in to the new surroundings.

The movers had done a wonderful job so all that was left to do was sit back and relax.

The twins decided to laze on the couch together and watch a film or two.

When they finished the first film, Sheena went off to prepare some popcorn and pour some wine. Lily found her self wondering how things were going to go from here.

The twins had always been different and had had their fair share of fights, but things always seemed to blow over eventually. Lily wondered if it was such a good idea to move in with Sheena. Suppose they had a MASSIVE fight and they just couldn't stand living together. It was different at home, their parents were always there to help straighten things out.

Sheena had promised that she wouldn't let her hotheadedness create tension in the house though and Lily could only take her word for it.

Before long, it was time to spend their first night in their new bedrooms.
Over the next few days, Lilly managed to find a job as a podium polisher at Deep Water Town Hall. It wasn't much, but she knew it would definitely help her on her way to being the leader of the free world - her life time dream.

While Lily was out at work each day, Sheena stayed home and enjoyed music and dancing, but whenever Lily got home from work, Sheena would go on and on about how there was just no work in town and she had tried EVERYWHERE!

Lily, being such a good Sim, believed her sister and told her that she was bound to find something sooner or later as long as she kept looking.
A few days later, Lily's boss asked her to deliver something to a colleague who lived a few streets away, he was working at home for the week and he needed information from some files that he didn't have access to.

Lily gladly accepted and decided to walk, it was such a beautiful day and her destination wasn't far.

She soon came across a charming cottage and headed to the door. She knocked twice and almost at once the door swung open to reveal the most handsome man she had ever laid eyes on.

She stammered slightly as she explained who she was and why she was there. He introduced himself as Tristan Clarke. He had such a radiant smile and a gleam in his eyes. Lily felt weak at the knees but managed to keep her composure for the few minutes that they spoke.

Tristan said fare well and that he would see Lily next week when he went back to working at the office.

Lilly found it hard to concentrate for the rest of the day and suspected that she probably annoyed the boss a little when she kept asking her to repeat her requests.
Over the weekend, Sheena decided to get out and about. She missed all her friends and longed to make new ones, so she headed to the park.

She got talking to a young woman named Mila who said that she lived with her brother not far away and that she often came to the park to play chess or have picnics with friends.

Sheena gave her number to Mila and asked her to call anytime she wanted a shopping companion or someone to go to the cinema with.

Mila said she definitely would, and perhaps Sheena would like to come over for a BBQ next weekend?

Sheena agreed and headed home, happy to have made a friend so quickly.
On Monday, Sheena hung around the house, as usual, taking some time to sunbathe in the back yard. She was so looking forward to the BBQ that weekend. It had been so long since she had a boy friend. She was anxious to see what Mila's brother was like. Mila had mentioned that some other friends might be going as well.

Sheena felt bad that she wasn't out looking for a job, but she was on the lazy side and the fact that she had saved so much over the last few years meant she was less inclined to work now.
Plus, she had just bought a house! Surely, she was allowed to take some time for herself.

As an appreciative gesture to her sister, Sheena decided to make dinner for Lily that night.
While Sheena lazed in the sun, Lily was busy at work. She had thought about Tristan Clarke ALL weekend, she knew it was silly, considering she had only met him once at then only for ten minutes, but he was just so charming and handsome.

She didn't spot him at the office until around midday. He came over to her desk and asked how things were going. Lily blushed and said everything was great.
Tristan mentioned that the diner across the road made great burgers. 'Perhaps you would like to join me for a burger after work today?'

Lily almost didn't realise what he had proposed, it was the last thing she had expected to come from his mouth. She spoke quietly but accepted and spent the rest of the day nervous but excited.

After work they met at the diner and had a wonderful meal. They spoke non stop, there was never a quiet moment and Lily could definitely feel an attraction between them.

Tristan gave Lily a lift home and kissed her hand as she left the car.
When Lily got inside she found her sister standing at the door with an unimpressed look on her face.

'Where have you been?' Sheena yelled. 'I made dinner for you and everything. I have to sit in this house alone all day and your off with friends?'

Lily rolled her eyes. 'Out with friends? Sheena, I was WORKING all day, I think it's acceptable for me to go and have a coffee with a work mate after a long day, maybe if you had a job you wouldn't be so lonely!'

Lily stormed up the stairs to her room, already regretting moving in with Sheena.

Sheena didn't know why she was so mad at her sister. Lily was the one busting her butt to pay the mortgage at the moment. She decided that she would actually start looking for work the next day, even if it was just something part time.
Sheena was offered a job at the local spa and took it without a second thought. This sort of thing was right up her alley and she only had to work a few afternoons a week. Enough to get Lily off her back and to stop her feeling so guilty for doing nothing around the house.

She immediately began to think of the great jewellery she could buy when she started getting paid.
Sheena was so excited about her job that she decided to invite her new friend Mila over.
Mila was ecstatic for Sheena and let out a bit of juicy gossip - her brother had finally found someone that he was smitten with.

Sheena said she was happy for him but deep down she was disappointed that she didn't get to meet him.

Sheena decided to cook a lamb roast that night. She prepared the vegies and placed the meat in the oven and decided to have a bath while she waited for it to cook.

Lily arrived home from work a little late that day, it had been a rough day at the office and Tristan hadn't even been there, although she had no idea why.
When she opened the front door she heard an alarm and smelt smoke. She ran inside, and found the kitchen totally enveloped in smoke.

Just then, Sheena ran out of the bathroom and started panicking. The two girls fluttered around the kitchen, trying to pick up any photographs nearby.
The fire brigade arrived quickly and stopped the fire but the house smelt acrid from the smoke that had permeated into the curtains and walls.

Lily flipped out, which was strange for her gentle persona. She immediately began to yell at Sheena, who had no intent of listening to a word Lily was saying.

This is the way it always happened, she would try to do something nice and then something would happen to screw it all up.

Over the next few days the sisters tried to stay out of each others way and Sheena made an extra effort to help around the house.

Just her luck, the faucet on the bath broke. Sheena called the plumber and asked if they could come around immediately. Things were just starting to get better again and this was the last thing she needed.

The plumber came around immediately and Sheena didn't let the opportunity pass, she flirted with him but he said he had things to do and high footed it out of there, he had met her type before.
With Sheena at home feeling sorry for herself, Lily decided to go for a bike ride after work. She had just received a promotion and wanted to enjoy the sunshine while she felt so good. Lily stopped at the beach and looked out at the waves. This had definitely been a long week. She soon felt a tap on her shoulder and turned to see Tristan.

When she mention her promotion he looked so happy for her but there was something in his face that told Lily he wasn't totally surprised.
Realising what had happened she confronted him.

'You said something to the boss so I would get promoted, didn't you?'

He looked guilty and said that he may have had a hand in the promotion but that he knew she deserved it. She was a great worker!

They hugged and Lily accepted his apology, as long as he promised never to do anything like it again.
The next day Tristan called to ask Lily to join him for dinner at the french restaurant in town.

After a wonderful meal, Lily plucked up the nerve to kiss Tristan, he held her close and whispered into her ear. 'I love you.'

Lily was shocked but happy, seeing the look on her face, Tristan quickly explained. 'I know we only just met, but this all just feels so right, I feel like I have known you forever.'

Lily grinned and leaped into his arms saying she felt exactly the same way.
The weekend finally came and the twins went to the park, where the BBQ had been moved to. When they got there, they were shocked to find out that Tristan and Mila were actually brother and sister!

It seemed so perfect.

Sheena took charge of the BBQ and surprisingly didn't burn the hot-dogs.
After a fabulous day, Lily and Tristan took some time for themselves and spent the afternoon whispering sweet nothings to each other.

Lily new she was absolutely and unconditionally in love with Tristan.

Sheena feigned happiness in front of her sister but quickly excused herself and went outside for fresh air.

Why did Lily always get everything she wanted. she was always better than Sheena and she didn't even have to try. She had a better job, better friends, she was smarter AND now she was engaged to a charming, wealthy older man.

Sheena had been trying to be a better person since the girls had moved out together, but it just wasn't working out.

She was sick and tired of trying so hard and getting nothing. She was sick and tired of Lily!

Sheena made up her mind. Things were going to change. Her life was going to get better, no matter what she had to do to get to the top...
