Welcome to Carr Mansion. Many generations of the Carr family have strived hard to get the land to where it is today. You may recognize this home from The Chronicles of the Carr Family. This is Trevor Carr's childhood home. The following story is going to be a small tour featuring Maria Carr, Trevor's mother. As she takes you through the house, you'll also find out more clues to Trevor's past.

"Hello and welcome to the Carr Mansion. Let me introduce myself to you - I am Maria Carr. I married into the Carr family when I was young. My husband has recently passed away, leaving behind the family home. Since Trevor is the eldest child, he will inherit it next. I hope you're ready for the tour!" "This is a birds-eye view of the first floor. As you can tell, it is quite an extensive floor plan. The rooms are big and spacious with minimal furniture. There is plenty of room for entertaining, something us Carrs delight in." "Since we're already in the kitchen, let's begin there. As you can see, it is quite spacious and slightly modern. While this is not the original kitchen fixtures, they are relatively old and could use some updating. The island in the middle seats ten, but most of the family prefers eating in the dining room." "This is the dining room. You can see that my granddaughter Adele is enjoying some birthday cake. I invited my son and his wife to move into the house recently since their family is always expanding and I have more than enough room. It took a lot of convincing since things are still rocky between me and Trevor but I finally convinced them. I'm supposed to be giving you a tour, not babbling on about my life. This is the dining room - as you can see, many of the family heirlooms are held by the shelves in the corners. I should really call someone in to clean up the mess." Directly across from the dining room is the sitting room. It is rather massive and holds plenty of seats and skill-building items. You can see my granddaughter Elaine in the background. She recently moved up from a toddler to a child. I'm so glad that I'm finally getting to see the milestones of my grandchildren." "This cramped room is the TV room. Our family has never been much for the television but it does come in handy for entertaining. I prefer to spend my time building skills or meeting new people." "The last room we're going to visit on the first floor is my room. Yes, it's quite feminine - I moved down here after my husband passed away. There are also two more bedrooms on the first floor but there's nothing special about them." "Now let's head upstairs. You can see one of my grandsons following his mother. I can't tell Jacob and Michael apart yet since they are twins. I'm working on it though. My grandson Evan is also venturing down the stairs." "Here is the bird's eye view of the second floor. As you can see, there are several bedrooms located on this floor, but we will once again only be visiting one of the bedrooms." "Here is my son - Trevor Carr. He seems to have matched his pajamas to the master bedroom. After my husband passed away, I invited Trevor and his family to move in with me. Trevor and his wife have since then redecorated the master bedroom to make it their own. This room also includes a master bath and private balcony." "Every house must have that room that is completely out of place. This is mine. There isn't much to this room - just some outrageous flooring and wall coverings with sitting areas. It is quite a unique room to sit and ponder life in however. The rest of the second floor is a combination of bedrooms and a nursery that is being used by the twins." "This is the bird's eye view of the third floor. There are two bedrooms on this floor that we won't be touring. Everything else we'll be looking at." "This is the room where we entertain guests. As my grandson Todd likes to say - this is grandma's party room. It has a karaoke machine and dj station along with other gadgets for entertaining people." "This is probably the most unique room in the house. This is also the room that I try to avoid. You see, my late husband was an avid fan of science fiction. He enjoyed exploring everything science fiction and would spend hours holed up in this room doing research and who knows what all. People probably thought that we had a great marriage, but the truth of the matter is our marriage couldn't have been more broken. That's another story though. Let's move onto the study." "This is the study. As you can see, there's nothing special about this room..." "Until you round the corner and notice that one of the bookshelves doesn't match. If you push the bookshelf aside, it reveals a secret stairway. Please don't Trevor's family about this - I want them to discover it for themselves. Things are more fun that way. Shall we take a peek upstairs?" "This is an ancient statue that has stood in the secret passage for years. Somebody once told me that she's related to the Carr family but I don't remember the full story of how." "Here is a bird's eye view of the secret room. The only thing above it is the roof of the house. Let's take a look inside it." "This is the secret room. As you can see, it's mainly be used as storage. There are lots of old statues and heirlooms that are stored away up here. The oddest thing to see in this room is the coffin. No one is quite sure where it came from or why it's here. Most claim that it's been here since the house was built." "If we go back downstairs and out my late husband's research room, we find his prized telescope. Just as he spent many hours in his room, he also spent many hours behind that telescope. That telescope has caused a variety of problems in my marriage and I should probably throw it out. Especially since Trevor seems to have things in common with his father." If we venture back downstairs, we find the backyard. Besides a swingset and the pool, there's not much to see here." "This is where the tour ends - in front of the garage. The garage sits a whole level lower than the rest of the house. It holds three cars plus the spot outside. I hope you enjoyed the tour. If you'd like to see more of me, the house, or my family, you can read The Chronicles of the Carr Family." "Here's a shot of the family. There's also the twins Micheal and Jacob but with them being toddlers, they couldn't quite sit at the island with us. Starting left to right, there's Elaine, Tina, Trevor, Me, Adele, and Evan. As you can tell by looking at us all, somebody has had a brush with aliens. I know that I also mentioned Todd earlier. He is the eldest of my grandchildren and is away at Sim State University. He is doing great. You can read about him and his friends in The College Years." Thank you for reading this story. I really wanted to share the house with my readers, but I felt it would be a lengthy tour to include in The Chronicles of the Carr Family. If you would be interested in seeing The Carr Mansion uploaded to The Sims Resource, please let me know. The only thing that would have to be removed is the sliding bookcase door and a few of the statues. Again, thanks for reading!
