New Series on its way

Summer is a crazy time for me and so much is happening in my life right now, it's unbelievable. So the submissions have slowed down a little. But here's the beginning of what I hope will be several series.

I love color. I love to play with it, mix it, change it, anything and everything. For me color conveys feelings and can make or break any living space.

The new series..."Just Color"...will focus on putting together different colors without the use of patterns. I'm going to start with walls and floors, then include curtains and wall hangings; furniture for living room, dining room, bedroom; then counters for baths and kitchens; then lamps, rugs, and anything else I can come up with! You can then mix and match to your heart's content! You can go monochrome for a classy look, or mix them up. Colors will be grouped so that items in any group will go together.

The first Just Color set will combine muted browns with blues and pink. Hopefully it will go up on Thursday or Friday.

my crazy life

Well, it seems that as soon as I became an SA, my "real" life just went berserk. I've had a couple of business trips and a ton of other things that have kept me away from the computer. But...there is light at the end of the tunnel! Things are starting to settle down and this weekend should be quiet. I've already starting working on my next theme and have a couple more sets to go with the Cottage Decorating theme. I'll get some screenshots up soon!!! Hope everyone is having a great spring!

I'm back

Work took me out of town for a few days and I had very limited access to the internet. I want to thank everyone who has sent congratulations and hopefully I'll get responses out in the next day or so. But I'm back out of town on Thursday so things are a little crazy right now! That said, I'm working on the final 2 installments of the Cottage decorating set, adding in shower curtain recolors, bedding recolors, and a bedroom set. I'll try to get a preview up today or tomorrow, or as soon as I can drag myself inside...the weather here is absolutely spectacular! Have a great day!

"Select"ed!!

I could hardly believe my eyes when I logged on to TSR today, First, I saw my cottage set listed in the feature downloads. I was so excited!!! THEN...I saw the announcement for being picked as a Select Artist. Wow!!!!! Now I'm speechless! And it's Friday to boot!!

I love making creations so much and this is just the icing on the cake. I am so glad that other people like them too. I try to design things that make me happy and would put in my own houses. I started doing this because I'm very particular about the way my houses look and instead of searching for what I wanted, I just decided to start making stuff myself. I started learning how to do different things and, well, here I am.

I want to say thank you to everyone in the TSR community. First and foremost, the people who visit here and download creations, you are the heart and soul of the site and if you like something I've done, then thank you and I hope it exceeds your expectations in game. Secondly, all the wonderful people who administer the site. I cannot imagine the amount of work that has to happen behind the scenes in order to keep this place going.

And a special thank you to Atwa! Thank you so much for letting me bug you and listening to my whining! You're the best!

Cottage Set 3

My next set is finally on its way. It seems like I've been working on this one forever. I'm finally including some furniture with this one! Here's a preview:

Milestone

Today I reached 100,000 downloads of my items. When I started, it seemed like this would never happen. But it did and I'm still having fun at this. Thanks to everyone who has downloaded!!! I'm working on Part three of the Cottage decor set and I'm including some furniture recolors this time. It will be a complete living room set. I'm also working on a bedroom as well. I tried my hand at meshing and I don't think I really have the time or patience to do it well. Now that summer is around the corner, I spend even less time on the computer. Baseball practice starts tonight!

Sadness

Time has come to a halt for me this week. I am an alumnus of Virginia Tech and it is a place that has always been in my heart. I grew up near there and countless friends and family members have attended there. I have officially stopped watching the news reports after last night when the footage of the killer started being played on television. It angers and disgusts me. My prayers are going out to those families, I cannot imagine their pain.

Cottage Decor

The first set in the new theme comes out this weekend. One of my favorite colors is red so I was dying to work with a red and green scheme. I'm starting with the patterned walls this time and the next set will be the coordinating solid walls and carpets. Then curtains and tiles and also some bedding will be in one of the sets as well. My work life is crazy right now so these might be a little slower coming out. Hope everyone is having a nice spring and thanks for reading!

Moving on

Time to say au revoir to the Provincial Decorating Set. I've already chosen my next "theme", however it remains nameless at this time. Hopefully I'll have the first set of walls and floors submitted today!

Girl interrupted...

Life has been extremely busy for me this past week, but now that winter has returned to the Midwest, looks like this weekend I'll be able to get some work done, especially since my son will be at his dad's house! I've started trying my hand at meshing so I may be spending some time on the boards in addition to uploading all the things that have been sitting on my desktop waiting.... waiting.... waiting
I am open to suggestion, advice, anything you think can help me and point me in the right direction. I opened up MilkShape last night for the first time and went through Munchkin_brat's tutorial. It was scary, but fun. Wish me luck! Thanks for reading :-)
