To everyone in Sunset Valley, Morgana Wolff appeared to have it all: beauty, brains, wealth, & charm. She was a successful surgeon, talented artist and was well liked by almost everyone she encountered. The only negative factor of her life was the present state of her marriage to Thornton Wolff.. Morgana & Thornton met two years ago at a town picnic in central park and hit it off so well they were engaged a few months later. Perhaps there short engagement is to blame since they then quickly rushed into marriage, seemingly a little too early.

Thornton is a very ambitious and business-minded Sim. He works fulltime and often overtime as President at a mega corportation. He longs to become CEO someday and follow in his sucessful father's steps. Prior to his current marriage with Morgana, Thornton has had commiment issues all his life with other women. Morgana was the only one who brought about a change in him relationship wise. He could honestly say he loved her, the fact that he is willing to spend the rest of his life with her says it all.
Being a trauma surgeon, Morgana's job is very demanding, long hours and late night shifts kept her away from home most days of the week. She knew that with her and Thornton's demanding careers, having children would be a stretch but she also knew it would be rewarding and that they could work it out somehow. What was so wrong with wanting it all anyway? Many nights while on call at the hospital, she was paged back into work during an emergency. Morgana was very dedicated to her patients and could never refuse to return and help out. This upset Thornton greatly. He hated coming home to an empty house and microwavable dinners. He had been through it before as a child of a former Doctor. He tried to be supportive of Morgana's medical career but many times his temper got the best of him. All he wanted was his attentive loving wife to await him home from work every night with food on the table, was that so much to ask for? Things weren't always so bad, however. Despite it all Morgana and Thornton loved one another. Morgana loved how ambitious and devoted Thornton was at everything he did. Although he was the son of a successful doctor, Thornton's career was built without a dime of his father's money; He was a self-made man and she was very proud of him for that.
Thornton loved how genuinely sweet and giving Morgana was; coming from a wealthy background she never struggled financially, but she still believed in being charitable to the less fortunate. He always admired that in her. If they could only see beyond there differences..
Yet whenever they were together and the inevitable subject of the others career, having children, or the time Morgana spent at the art gallery was brought up the conversation quickly changed into a heated argument. Thornton was a bit hot-headed which often times fueled every argument. He thought Morgana was being stubborn. She didn't understand like he did what a child would do to there marriage, he saw it firsthand as the product of his parents. A child meant fewer luxuries to show for all there hard work and less of their already limited personal time. A child would ruin everything! Absolutely not, a child, even one was out of the question! After every big fight, it was always Morgana who apologized first. She hated fighting with Thornton and tried to preserve the peace whenever possible. Seeing Morgana so defenseless always weakened Thornton's rage.. he didn't want to fight either, but there was no changing his mind. It seemed like the only time spent between the two when they weren't constantly fighting was in the bedroom. That part of there relationship never had any problems.. There unresolved issues however became the reason Morgana sought the help of Susan Cloud, an experienced marriage counselor. She loved Thornton and was determined to save there marriage before it was too late. Thornton was hesitant at the idea, he didn't think there was much resolving to do on his part. Morgana just needed to give up on her foolish idea of having children, her job, and maybe the whole art thing too.. he eventually agreed to satisfy his wife. **TO BE CONTINUED! Is there still hope for Morgana & Thornton? Find out on part 2 of "A troubled marriage,"..I'll try to update asap, Stay tuned!!
