Hey Readers,

Nothing to say, other than {C.A.R.H} Comment Anything and Rate High

Enjoy…. Oh, sorry about any mistakes…

After running into Justine at the gym, I began to get excited about seeing my daughter and son. I can’t believe my son is the captain of the basket ball team. I guess the saying is true- Like father, like son. I can’t wait to talk to him! Oh let me not forget my sweet baby girl, Justice. I can’t wait to see her walking and to hear her talking.

After doing my daily workout, I made the decision to go and see them immediately.
After going home to freshen up, I got in my car and drove to the address Justine had given me. I pulled up to the white fair size family house. At first, I just sat in the car, going through the thoughts that were going through my head. “Will they hate me? Have they missed me? Will they remember me?”

I shook my head and decided that it was time to find out the answers.
I got out the car and headed towards the front door. Once I got there, I took a deep breath and rung the door bell. 20 seconds later, Justine opens the door. Justine: Hey Marty, glad to see you. (She said shaking my hand) Please come in.

As she turned to walk me into the house, I noticed that Justine was wearing a dress. A dress that fitted each and every last of her curves beautifully.
Justine: Paul is not here just yet, he had practice. He will be home soon. Justice is in her room sleeping.
Marty: May I? (I said asking to watch Justice sleep)
Justine: I prefer that you don’t
An awkward moment began to fill the room. Marty- I know that it’s awkward to have me here and I don’t deserve your kindness, but I really appreciate it.
Justine: I’m not doing it for you; I’m doing it for our kids.
Marty: Either way, I’m grateful.
Justine: Yeah, well…. You are welcome.

She walks off and I follow
Marty: I’ve missed you
She stopped walking
Justine: What did you say? (She said turning around)
Marty: I think you heard me (I said walking up on her) I said I missed you.
Justine: Marty, don’t….. Don’t do this. I am having a hard time already with you being here.
I know I was wrong for just blurting out my feelings, but it had to be said. Too many years had passed me by without my family. Justine and I were together for 13 years before our divorce, so I have every right to miss her.

Marty: Is it so bad for me to tell you I missed you.
Justine: Yes, it’s been 3 years and I’ve moved on.
Marty: Have you?
Justine: Yes, Marty, I have.
Marty: I haven’t

Silence took over the room

Marty: Did you miss me?
Before she could respond, the front door open and it was Paul.
Paul: Mom, I’m home! (He yelled throwing his things down on the floor.)
When he spotted us he stood there. It was silence for a while, so I decided to break it.

Marty: Hi, son… (Nothing) You’ve gotten tall.
Paul: Dad?!?
Marty: Yeah, it’s me
He ran to me and hugged me with tears in his eyes.
Paul: I’ve missed you!

Paul running to me that way caused me to remember how he use to run to me when I would come home after work. I smiled at the memory and I was happy that he missed (At least someone did).
