Howdy and welcome to Part 4 where more secrets are revealed ;]

WARNING: Lotsa Talkies ^^" I don't like this chapter that much but it's needed and can't be skipped. Anyways, enjoy, please rate and comment ^^,
Eerie and peculiar; silence had filled the air during dinner. They just sat there, taking bites off their plate, not daring to say anything; to set anyone off. I myself am very frustrated. Just who is this boy? Why didn’t I know about it? Someone should’ve least visited me and tell ‘hey Ara, I heard your husband got hitched before you died.’ That boy, his age, it’s extremely close to Scott’s. “Excuse me.” Silence was shattered as the boy ‘Hideki’ rose to his feet. ‘But young master...’ I heard Mikuru whisper, she was obviously afraid to let the words escape her mouth. “I can’t eat anything made by that girl,” was all he said as he dashed out of the room. What an uncouth little wretch! How dare he say that? I ought to give him a good scare, I ought to – “Excuse me as well,” what? “I don’t feel like eating.” Without saying another word, Scott got up and went outside, to vent I presume. You know what? I’m going out and vent too! The nerve… While we’re away, Zinnia, Mikuru and Toshiro all heaved a sigh. “Please forgive the young master, Zinnia-sama. He’s…he’s just a troubled young lad.” Zinnia got up as after hearing the statement. “Its fine and I’m sorry for putting so much pressure on you. Such trouble shouldn’t be brought upon an expecting woman.” She took her plate to the sink and went outside where she joined us – venting. “Scott you there?” Her voice coming near as she approached us, “Hey Zin. Finally decided to escape, huh?” Scott said as she sat on the wooden balustrade, her face, obviously red from unspoken frustration. Zinnia just nodded quietly, ready to listen. “…couldn’t join us to commemorate…because he was busy on a so-called business trip.” “I wonder what she had that mom never had?” the way Scott said it was more of a statement than a question. She looked up as her sister joined her on the balustrade. As Zinnia looked afar, she gave another sigh; her heart heavy as she was already aware of it years ago. “You know how men are.” Zinnia said as she scratched her head. “Not all of them are like that…” Scott defended, probably thinking of Toshiro, Mikuru’s husband and that boy Hideki’s bodyguard. Those two lovebirds have a wonderful love story, almost prefect as a romance movie. Mikuru was one of my husband’s cousins, destined by birth to be an heiress. However, she was a shy and reserved child, she didn’t impress anyone much, especially her father’s business partners. Poor girl was always bullied due to her inelegance, often called an ugly duckling or a crane by my sister-in-law, Masako. At that time Toshiro was already studying to be a personal guard like his father and was always by her side to save her. Years passed by and it was already old news that the two would fall for each other. Both, off course knew that they cannot be together as it will demote her status. Both parties were also in disagreement, …but they got married anyway, in Vegas as I remember it, silly pair. Although I do envy her, at least she had an amazing happily ever after with a childhood sweetheart. See? It’s a perfect as a romance movie. “I meant their ego; their ‘male-pride’ when they said they’d do it, they’ll do it until they succeed.” My eldest’s statements woke me from the cinematic flashbacks. “Oh. I thought you meant their ‘sexual dominance’ ha-ha.” ”Hideki…” she once again started to bring us back to the main subject, a very dislikable subject. “…he’s not what you think he is.” What? I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Why is she defending that boorish little wretch? “Not just because he calls our old man ‘father’ doesn’t mean he’s his son.” As I listened to her I became more and more curious about the boy, setting aside my frustration – for the time being. “You know how dad is; always experimenting, creating something new, always succeeding.” She swiveled her fingers as she voiced the clues one by one. “Sixteen years ago, aunt Masako had a miscarriage. She already named her baby Hideki. Then she later found out she had an early menopausal, unable to have another child. Broken and devastated, Auntie wouldn’t even come out to eat… Dad, at that time was already trying to create androids and every single ‘Hideki’ he did was a present for her. Bit by bit, she recovered.” After revealing the shocking truth she sighed and both Scott and I finally had a chance to breathe. “So he succeeded huh?” Did he really succeed? While I was being all curious, Scott just looked up the sky. “He’s still bugged, as you’re very well aware of. But anyways, ready for school tomorrow?” Zinnia, the queen of subject changing asked. However, I’m quite relieved. “I guess. I’ll just come to school when I have an appointment, right?” Scott hesitantly asked; unsure of what she’s supposed to do with her new schooling program. “Basically, you just study at home and you come to school when you have an appointment, then they’ll give you a test. Once you passed that you can go ahead to the next lesson.” If I remember it correctly, Scott has a few more lessons left then she’ll be able to graduate and go to college. “Alright, yeah I guess I’m ready.” With nothing else to say or talk about, they sat still on the balustrade all looked up at the sky above. The moon was full, lighting the dusk skies with her soft glow. It felt like time stood still…

The rest of the night went smoothly. A couple of minutes after our moon gazing, Mikuru fetched the two and led them to their room. A little bit of chatting, here and there and the two soon fell asleep. While I feel a little weaker as the day of the Lantern Festival comes near, the day when visiting spirits must go back along with the messages and prayers of their love ones written in the lantern.
