This is a tale of devoted love to Mom. A Prelude to Fred in Wonderland
A small loving tale. Please enjoy and comment. My first story to post.
Thanks to Fred for helping me get there. (((Knuffels)))
This is our home. Thatís Mom there in the yard. Here, we grew up. Itís time
for us to move on, but before we do so. We need to do something for Mom.
She raised us alone so now itís time for her to find love. We are going to make sure
heís the right one for her. Only perfect will do. I will take you on a journey to find love. If itís out there. It has to be for the love of Mom.

Here we all the three of us. On the left is me Barb. My baby Brother Rex and Fred my sister and also my best friend. Behind us there is a picture Fred painted when she was little. Mom hung it there and itís been there every since. Before we get into the main part of the story. I think Iíll take you on a tour of our little town and share a bit of our childhood with you. So get ready. Here we go. (Rex stop staring at the people) Riverview Medical Center. This is the hospital we were born at. Wasn't everybody in Riverview. How could I ever forget Riverview High. We lived right across the street. No way we could ever get away with ditching school, well maybe Rex did, but us girls, no way!. Oh and hereís Farmer Brownís barn. All the times we played in there as kids.
and never once got hurt.
The water tower, Rex would climb it all the way to the top. Fred did once
or twice. I never did. Are you kidding? Mom did not know this either.
This is the home of the richest family in town. I think they owned all
of Riverview. The Jonesís. Mama always told us that we didnít have to keep up
with the Jonesís, she said only bad things would happen if we did. We listened
One of our favorites was under the bridge. Mom never knew we played here. The High School Stadium, what a blast this place was. Every Friday night.
If Mom only knew some of the stuff we did here. WhewÖ
Our finest at work all day every day. Rex knows them too, as he has spent
the night a couple of times.
See that rock? My all time favorite place to be when I wanted to be alone.
I donít know about Fred and Rex. If they came here too. I didnít know it.
I bet this was one Rexís car, heís such a daredevil. We couldnít keep up with all the cars he had or went through is more like it. Hereís another place we would play. There were large stones in the river.
Mom did not like us playing here at all. It was too dangerous she said.
Fred rummaging. I donít think she ever finds anything. I guess sheís afraid
Mom would throw something away.
Rex spends a lot of time in the grave yard. Some say that ghosts roam around here at night. I wouldnít know I never went there at night.
He also spends a lot of time in front of the mirror. I guess heís cute if heís not your brother.
Fred, always in my room. ďHey Sis you got your own room.Ē Even a great cook like Mom, would still burn the waffles and we ate them anyway. We never said a word.
Our favorite camping site. We would come here often. Roast marshmallows and tell
ghost stories. Rex never failed to play in the fire. Crazy! I always called him. We are too busy now and donít come that often any more. I really miss it.

Mom went fishing so we took the opportunity to talk about finding the right man
for mom. There were only three in town available. We knew them all and so did Mom.
We also knew Mom. She wouldíve never ask them out. She always said to let
nature take itís path, but hey a little help was good sometimes right? So we made plans for Rex to go check out Mr. Lucky Perkins. Fred was to go check out Mr. Kurt Shallows. While I was to go check out Mr. Norman Joy. So each of us went to our objectives.
Rex was first to go see Mr Lucky Perkins. He was invited inside and it didnít take long for Rex to find out this guy's a slob. Oh no he would never be good enough for Mom. Strike one. Fred went to see Mr Kurt Shallow. She found out real quick this guy
has got some money. My, look at the size of tht house, gees, puts the Jones to shame. She was also invited inside.
It did not take her long to find out this man hated art and beside he has two
bratty kids. She also discoverd he's married but wears no ring. Oh hell NO! Fred thought. I donít think so. Mom loves art and is way to good for this slime ball.
Strike two. That leaves us with one left.
I went to see Mr Norman Joy. A widower with a grown daughter. I did not go inside
his house. He seemed to be real nice. Has a wonderful garden, Mom would like that a lot. I found out that he is frugal just like Mom. Oh wow I think we got something here.
My next plan was to invite him over for dinner and let Fred and Rex talk to him, you know sorta find out stuff.
So that night we did invite him for dinner. I guess we were so busy with our own lifes
that there are some things we didínt know. One thing is that Mom was already fond of Norman. It seems that she has liked him for quite sometime. His wife had past away several years ago and Mom being old fashion was waiting for him to ask her out. So you can say we just helped her out a little bit.
Norman came over often and their relationship began to grow. He was really good to Mom. He took her out to eat often. Cuddling in public. Why Mom! I do believe Mom was smitten. And one day it happened. Norman proposed to our Mom. She was so happy.
Iím not sure we ever saw her this happy. We were happy for her.
The wedding was to take place here at Normans.
And so they were married. Somebody sure picked a bad time to call. Stupid cell phone!

Now that Mom was married to the perfect man for her it was time to say our goodbyes.
Fred took a job in Sunset Valley at the Art Museum. I think she has a boyfriend there.
Iím sure she said his name is SeanÖyes, that rightÖSean.
Rex, well he took a job there also. He never said what it was. We donít ask.
I still think heís Momís favorite. Whatís up with that. Milkman or Postman?
Me, well I followed by Sister and my Brother to Sunset Valley. I hope to
become a famous author. Fred did mention the Sean has a brother. Humm
I wonder if there is a future there.
Mom, we wish you happiness and joy for the rest of your life.
For every single star the shines. They shine for you.

Thank you all for reading. I do hope you enjoyed it. Thank you ((((Fred)))
