Welcome to the third chapter. Thanks to everyone who read, rated and commented on the others. Happy reading.....again!

(Thanks to Cazarupt for his beautiful lot 'Untouched Serenity' and any other artists for their creations I may have used in this chapter, ie Grandma Josephine' black attire. Sorry I couldn't find who the artist/s were)
After they get home from their day in town Grandma Josephine prepares hot dogs for dinner as per Grandpa George's request in bed the other night. While Grandma Josephine attends to dinner in the kitchen Grandpa George pokes at the fire place..... .....and checks himself out in the mirror. 'Yep I'm still lookin' good' thinks Grandpa George. 'Maybe we should try out the Day spa in town. Josie loves all that stuff, facials, pedicures and things. That time she dragged me along to have a facial, my skin felt amazing afterwards.' Secretly Grandpa George loves to be pampered, especially by the one he loves but he would never announce that he loves facials. Even if they are good for your skin. After dinner they turn on the stereo and boogie to some tunes. Grandpa George really gets down to the music. He loves to dance and used to dance professionally until he quit years ago.
"Josie you should have been my partner in my last dance championship. I could have trained you. You would have loved it and it keeps you really fit too" says Grandpa George
"There's no way I would have been ready George. You've been dancing before we even met. Anyway, the young lady you danced with was amazing, what was her name?" replies Grandma Josephine.
"Amber. Yeah she was very talented" says Grandpa George. He thinks back to that night. Grandpa George was getting ready back stage in his change room and there's a knock at the door. When he opened the door there stood Amber, long blonde hair, sleek slim body, beautifully flawless face. She was a shining star thought Grandpa George. Mind you this was before he had gone grey in his old age and she probably would have never been his partner if he was.
"I wonder what she's doing now, whether she's still dancing or not?" says Grandpa George.
They dance for a while longer and decide to turn in for the night.
The next morning they're up early and get straight into their workouts.
"George you shouldn't really swing your arms around like that while your running on that thing. You might fall off!" says Grandma Josephine.
"Josie, you know I've got the balance of a cat walking on a tight rope" replies Grandpa George.
Grandpa George reads the newspaper after his workout. He finds an ad for the Day Spa in town and reads out loud, "Day Spa Specials, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays. Purchase any treatment and receive a complimentary facial". Sounds good to me. I should call and book both of us in or maybe I can surprise Josie, thinks Grandpa George. His eyes wander to the bottom of the page and he see's an ad for guitar lessons, 'Best guitar lessons in Sunset Valley call Martin to make a booking'. Grandpa George has always wanted to learn the guitar but has never got around to it. Upstairs Grandma Josephine dresses for the day. She checks her figure out in the mirror. "I've still got a little way to go yet. But I'm feeling great!" She stares into the mirror and her thoughts wonder back to last nights conversation about ghosts with Bessie Clavell. Maybe later tonight I could take a walk, we don't live that far from the town square. Grandma Josephine walks downstairs.
"Wow!" says Grandpa George and whistles. "You look amazing Josie!"
"Oh George, you are so over the top. I do feel great though. I think these workouts are really going to pay off" says Grandma Josephine.
"You know how I've always wanted to learn the guitar?" says Grandpa George excitedly. "Well there's a guy in Sunset Valley who gives lessons. I saw his ad in today's paper."
"Why not George. Where about in Sunset Valley is he?" replies Grandma Josephine.
"The ad didn't have an address so I think I'll call him later today" says Grandpa George. He heads off towards the shower to wash away his sweaty morning workout.
While Grandpa George showers Grandma Josephine decides to play a little Need For Speed on the computer. Grandma Josephine has always loved computer games. She has played them from a very young age. Sometimes she would be so involved in her game that she wouldn't even hear George talking to her. This time she has the volume down low and she hears voices coming from the kitchen.
The maid has arrived and Grandpa George is fixing the dishwasher.
"Thanks for letting me know that this wasn't working Janice" says Grandpa George.
"No problem sir, I thought about calling a repair man but obviously your the handy man of the house" replies Janice smiling.
"I sure am. And please call me George" says Grandpa George.
"I'll go clean the bathrooms while your tending to the dishwasher" says Janice.
Grandma Josephine walks into the kitchen and finds water pouring out of the kitchen sink tap. "What's happened here?" she says.
"Nothing to worry about. Everything's under control. I just repaired the dishwasher and then the sink went off all of a sudden!" says Grandpa George unscrewing the faucet.
"Where's Janice? Why isn't she here mopping this up?" Grandma Josephine says annoyed.
"Settle down Josie, she went to clean the bathrooms while I was repairing the dishwasher. She'll be back down in a sec" replies Grandpa George.
Janice mops up the remainder of the water on the floor while Grandma Josephine prepares a late lunch for her and Grandpa George.
"All done for today" says Janice.
"Your payment is in that envelope on the bench there" replies Grandma Josephine.
"Thank you mam. See you tomorrow. Bye George." says Janice leaving via the backdoor.
"See you later. Have a good day" replies Grandpa George.
"I can still see water marks on the floor" Grandma Josephine pulls out the mop to clean up the residue left from the broken faucet.
"Josie you shouldn't be so hard on Janice. I think she's nice and she seems to be doing a good job" says Grandpa George eating his lunch.
Grandma Josephine returns to her game on the computer. "Get outta the way buster!" she yells as another car try's to ram her's off the road. "Take that! Ha! That nitro boost has got me in the lead now!" She see's Grandpa George standing in the living room out of the corner of her eye. "What are you doing George?"
"Honestly Josie, what would you do without me? I can fix anything. I am the HANDY MAN!" says Grandpa George throwing his spanner up in the air.
"George you are too funny!" replies Grandma Josephine laughing.
The phone rings and Grandpa George picks up "Hello?"
"Hi, it's Skip!"
"Hey, Skip. How are you?" replies Grandpa George with a smile. "We haven't seen you lately."
"Na, I've been sick. Mum said I gotta stay home cus I've got a cold. I had a fun time when I came over the other day and well...I just thought I might tell ya that I won't be delivering ya paper this week" Skip says sadly.
"Aww, that's not too good mate. Listen to your mum she knows best. When you get better come and visit again, ok?" replies Grandpa George.
"Sure" says Skip. They say their goodbyes and Grandpa George tells Grandma Josephine that Skip won't be delivering their newspaper this week.
"I might head upstairs and read for a bit" says Grandpa George to Grandma Josephine.
"Josie...?" Grandma Josephine isn't listening she's to involved in her racing game on the computer. He heads up stairs and gets comfy on the guest bed and begins reading The Adventures of Raymundo.
Grandma Josephine changes into something more comfortable and yells to George that she's going for a short walk.
"I won't be long" she yells.
"Okay, just be careful it's gotten dark already. Maybe you should take your tazer or one of my tools." Grandpa George yells back. "Just put it in one your of your pockets."

But Grandma Josephine doesn't hear Grandpa George's response, she is already outside. She wanders down to the end of their driveway and looks down the road. "Ghosts wandering around town...pfft!" she murmurs to herself. "If they're going to be wandering anywhere it should be at the cemetery." She walks to the town square. It's such a lovely warm peaceful night that she decides to have a swing on the swings before wandering around a bit more. She doesn't see anything strange while she is there. 'What was Bessie Clavell on about?' wonders Grandma Josephine. She walks back home to get the car and bravely drives up to the cemetery. "At least I'll have a quick get-away with the car here" she thinks. As she enters the cemetery a ghost literally walks straight past her. "Wa..wa what! It couldn't have been?" says Grandma Josephine a little shaken. She is very skeptical about supernatural things and she didn't want to believed what her eyes were telling her. She walks up to the deathly black statue of the Grim Reaper. "Now this is a little scary" she says out loud. "So this is what we've got to look forward to when it's our time?" She see's a park seat to the right and wanders over there. She sits down and admires the view from the cemetery.
"Well at least we'll have a nice view of the town" thinks Grandma Josephine. She looks up at the starry sky maybe hoping to see a shooting star. Then she starts to hear a few eerie noises. She looks around to the left of the cemetery, nothing......
.....she looks to the right. She think she see's another ghostly figure towards the end of the cemetery. She stares for a bit mustering up the courage to walk over. 'Oh get a grip Josie' she says to herself. Finally she gets up and walks towards to the ghostly figure.
"Oh my gosh, is he....reading?" she says out loud.
The ghostly figure puts his book away and begins walking towards Grandma Josephine.
"Are..you....real?" says Grandma Josephine stunned.
"Yes I am mam. Are you?" replies the ghost.
'Hmm a ghost with a sense of humor' thinks Grandma Josephine."Where have you come from?" she says.
"Well it's a long story really" says the ghost. "My whole family died in a house fire. Everything went up in flames. All that was left were a pile of ashes."
"Oh my!" says Grandma Josephine stunned again.
"I've been floating around all the cemetery's to find my wife. Somehow I think they sent her casket to the wrong cemetery and my kids too. I feel very lonely here with out them" replies the ghost.
"So this is what happens when we..." Grandma Josephine pauses. She doesn't want to say it. "....you know...die?"
"Well yes it is. It's not so bad though" replies the ghost."It's quite relaxing really. It's like you are going through retirement all over again."
Grandma Josephine can't believe what she is hearing. 'Retirement all over again? That doesn't sound so bad.'
"I'll be off now mam, I've got to keep searching for my family" says the ghost.
The ghost leaves and Grandma Josephine is left standing alone in the cemetery.
'So Bessie was right!' she thinks. She is feeling a little excited after having a conversation with a ghost. 'The night is still young maybe I'll investigate a little further.' Grandma Josephine walks towards the entrance to the Mausoleum.
'Maybe I should call George' she thinks, 'Just so he knows where I am.'
Does Grandma Josephine know what she's getting herself into entering these catacombs?

What an adventurous granny! I had to laugh when George was tossing the spanner, that was a great shot. Keep up the good work, Jennifer, I'm really enjoying this.

They are so virile! Wish my grandparents acted like Jo and Georgie!
