Here is the 2nd and final part of my story :)

Here is the 2nd and final part of my story :) Henry Bingley was very excited when the night of the Darcy Royal ball came along. He knew all the single and eligible women would be there tonight, and he was hoping to have many a dance with the beautiful Amelia Woodhouse. Edward Bingley greeted Isabella Woodhouse by kissing hand. He was ever the gentleman. True, she did look beautiful but he wondered where Amelia was. They sat down and mingled with old friends. Edward was deeply shocked when Amelia finally arrived. She looked exactly like a princess. Edward could not resist going over to his dear friend and complimenting her.

"You're beautiful," Edward told Amelia. Amelia turned crimson with embarrassment- Edward had never complimented her like that before. Before she could reply Henry arrived and whisked her onto the dance floor.
Henry and Amelia danced away happily. Amelia could not concetrate on Henry's kind words and could only think of Edward. Edward could not take his eyes off Amelia as Henry whirled her around the dance floor. Amelia found the dancing a bit too much and went for some fresh air. Edward followed her and Amelia was relieved to see her dear sweet friend.

"I have missed you," Amelia sighed, "We have not spent a lot of time together lately."

"I know," Edward replied holding her close. Breathing in the sweet smell of her.
When they pulled away Edward took her hand and said passionately,

"I have to say this now so forgive my frankness for I do not know how much time I have with you. I wanted to see how perfect I think you look and how I envy Henry for being able to dance with you. What I mean Amelia is that..."
Amelia pressed, "Yes?" she asked as her heart raced.

"I think you are a dear friend and my intentions are honest...I want to express my feelings for you that I..." Edward stuttered.

"Edward, are you ok?" Amelia said worried.
"I fear words have failed me, perhaps this was express my feelings," Edward said kissing Amelia's arm. Isabella saw all this happen and Amelia panicked and ran away when she confronted Edward. Isabella felt betrayed, all along Edward had really wanted to court Amelia. "You sir are dishonorable," Isabella said angry, "You love Amelia!"

"That I do, forgive me, I never meant for my actions to cause you offense Miss Woodhouse," Edward pleaded but Isabella stormed off.
Amelia found a secluded spot and cried to herself. She knew then of her feelings for Edward and that the feeling was perhaps mutual. However, Edward was courting Isabella. There was no hope for them. Alfred Woodhouse came and comforted his daughter. She lied and said she had had a small quarrel with Edward.

"I am certain you shall be old friends as you once were," Alfred comforted.

"I do not think so," Amelia said sadly.
"Believe me my child, Edward cares for you too much to never speak to you again," Alfred smiled hugging Amelia. Meanwhile Edward confronted his brother about his intentions with Amelia Woodhouse.

"I suggest you make your intentions clear or face another man in the community stealing her. She is a beauty and a catch!" Edward snapped. Henry was taken aback by Edward's angry words but agreed to visit Alfred Woodhouse tomorrow.
When the brothers visited Alfred Woodhouse the next morning and suggested their proposal Alfred laughed at them like a mad man. The brothers were shocked but they made the proposal arrangements. Isabella was proposed to by Mr Bingley and accepted. Isabella was overjoyed, as was Mr Bingley. After the Bingley's left, Isabella found Amelia and told her of her engagement. Amelia was devastated but acted like she was happy that Amelia was engaged to Edward Bingley. She was broken in two. She had to get out, to go some place alone. Where she cried heavily. The man she loved was engaged to her cousin. Soon Alfred Woodhouse spoke to his daughter about Isabella's engagement. He assured her all would be well and she did not notice Edward Bingley arrive. "Amelia," Edward said her name softly, "May we talk a while."

"Of course," Amelia sighed trying to be brave.

"It is about what happened last night, I fear I should..." Edward explained but Amelia could not bear to hear it so she replied,

"Please do not say a word, my heart cannot bear it." She ran quickly.
Edward chased her,

"Amelia I fear you do not understand today's events," Edward called after her.
"I know enough to know you're engaged to my cousin," Amelia said tearfully, "And that is that." "I am not engaged to Isabella," Edward told Amelia.

"Pardon?" Amelia said confused, "But you came to propose..."
"That I did, till your father laughed in Henry's face and told him that his daughter could not marry a man she did not love...nor could I marry a woman I didn't love," Edward explained.

"I do not understand..." Amelia said confused.
"My dear sweet Amelia. I do not love Isabella and your father realised this. He said he has always known of my love for you my darling friend. Therefore, he gave consent for Henry to marry Isabella. Isabella knows of my love for you and Henry in time will grow to love her. But my heart only beats for you, that is why I am here right now," Edward said romantically. Amelia saw the proposal in her head, Isabella was engaged to Henry Bingley not her dear sweet Edward. With relief Amelia burst into tears again. "Do not cry my love," Edward said softly as he got to his knees, "My darling Amelia, I have loved you the moment I first laid eyes on you. Please do my the honour of being my wife."

Amelia was shocked and could not believe it. Amelia smiled as he placed the ring on her finger.

"I would be honoured my old friend, I love you too," Amelia smiled. Delirious with happiness Amelia leapt into Edward's arms.

"Oh I love you Amelia," Edward said laughing as he span her around.
Edward smiled at Amelia, "We have a wedding to go to." Within weeks the two old friends were married in their local Church. They became Mr and Mrs Bingley. That night they went to bed together and realised that often friends do make the best lovers. The Bingley's fell asleep in each others' arms and realised that their love was worth waiting for.
