Don't fret; I'm still going to be doing "My Messed Up Life" for a while as well :).
Dear Diary,

Hi! My name is Angela Smith, age 14. I'm a sociable, friendly, and smart. Just your regular, average teen. But what sadly separates me from my fellow classmates is that my parents are...well, rich and famous. This is a secret I really try and keep. I don't let my parent's fame or money change me; I'm down to earth. Having lots of cash isn't always a good thing. My parents wished for money and dreamed of fame, and they got it. The problem? I never know who my real friends are. When my friends find out my parents have been in movies, or they come over to my house (which I put off for as long as I can) they instantly treat me better.
Sometimes, I just want to call myself normal. But I'm not.
My dad is a big book worm. Some of his success has been from being in action movies (he has really toned muscles) but to me, he's just a big, geeky dad. He is also famous for his buildings and scientific discoveries. So, most of his day is spent in our library... Then, there's my mom. Now, she's quite the odd mix of careers. She first started out his career modeling swimsuits and other things for catalogs. She occasionally models today, but the base of her fortune is from astronomy. Yep, that's right. She looks at stars. To date, she's discovered seven new planets and has been to space several times. Just like my dad, she has starred in a lot of movies and plays. She's just a regular mom other than that. Busy, but I love her very much. And then there's me. I'm pretty outgoing, but sometimes I just like to have some quiet time, away from the paparazzi. Yes, they chase after me too, but I've really done nothing but to be related to my mom and dad. So, I escape to the private redwood forest in our backyard. It's a large forest, and it even has a small pond where I fish sometimes. It's so beautiful back in the forest, the perfect place to chill and catch some trout. I just catch them for fun, then I throw them back. I'm a huge animal lover, and I couldn't even imagine frying up an innocent fish that I caught. And sometimes, I like to be active, so I jog down the hill to the beach. It's sort of our private beach, because nobody but us really know it's here. But sometimes I see a person or two here and most of the time they bother me so much I just leave. But today, nobody's here to bug me. Well, there is a paparazzi. When I was 12, I used to ask them to please go away, and that I wanted to be alone right now. However, when I started seeing headlines saying "Angela The Brat" it hurt my feelings a lot, so I learned to keep my mouth shut. Even though I hadn't even been rude to the celeb- stalkers, they twisted my words and had made me looked bad that year. Ok, back at home. Let's go upstairs, shall we? This is our kitchen. The steaming plate of waffles is one of my breakfast specialties. Sunday is the only day we can really eat all together as a family, so I take advantage of it. We eat outside, with a view of the entire city. It's so pretty, and sitting there with my family, up high where no one can see us. I sometimes even feel normal, even if it's just for half an hour of talking and laughing with the two people I love most. It's the end of the day now, and I'm gazing up at the stars. Sometimes, while my mom is looking through her telescope, I go outside with her and look up at space myself. It helps me relax. And at last, I return to my favorite retreat, also know as my bedroom. My dad comes in every night to read me a bedtime story and sit in my room until I'm able to fall asleep. You might think this all sounds silly, my dad reading my stories every night. But this is where my imperfections come in. Last year, I was diagnosed with insomnia. And when I was eight, doctors found out I had leukemia. For a while, it wasn't aggressive or anything. But when I was 10 I had a really hard time with it. It was at its worst point, and I constantly throwing up and tired. My parents hope it won't come back, back the doctors aren't sure. Other than the doctors, me, and my parents...no one knows about this. So because of my anxiety attacks and insomnia, I'm constantly up late, late at night. Usually, my dad will hear me and help me back into bed and give me some warm milk or something to help me sleep. But it usually doesn't work and I only get about two hours of sleep a night. Art has really helped me through these tough times. I just paint streaks of abstract art, but it's really nice to express myself in a way that words can't.

And sometimes, I can just...feel happy.
