Hello and thank you all for the nice comments on the previous parts of this story!
I have bad news - I don't know how it happened but somehow I deleted my Pleasantview :( You can't imagine how I felt when I started playing and there was NO Pleasantview. I'm still shocked. Fortunately, I had copied most of the screenshots to another folder, which means I still have the so called "Lucy's diary," but I lost all the characters and households and have a lot of restoring to do now :(
Anyway, here's part 5...

Full of guilt and curiosity, I turned to the first page of the diary and started reading. “Dear Diary,” it said.
“My name is Lucy Burb. I am 12 years old and I just moved to Pleasantview with my Mom and Dad. I was sad to leave all my friends and move here but Mom thinks Pleasantview is a good place for us to live.”

Just like my Dad, I thought. What was so special about Pleasantview? I continued reading.
“Our new home is quite small but I like it. It's cozy. Mommy wanted a bigger house so she’s a bit unhappy. Dad says it’s all we can afford right now and seems to be happy."
"After we had unpacked our things yesterday, Dad invited some people over for a house-warming party. He said that getting along with neighbors was very important." "My uncle Daniel and his family were invited, too. Daniel is Mom’s brother and his family lives not far from our new house. He has twin daughters – Lilith and Angela. My cousins fight all the time. They even fought at the party." "Uncle Daniel seemed to be worried about his daughters. He said that the girls' arguments have gotten worse in time. I guess I should be happy to be the only child in my family, though I've always wished to have a brother or a sister." "The house-warming party was outside because there’s no space to throw a party inside the house. Luckily, the weather was nice. I danced a lot and had fun but I felt a bit sad because there were no other children." "I asked Angela to play with me but she didn't want to, so by the time it got dark I was bored. I can't understand how grown-ups can enjoy just sitting and talking for hours. There's nothing interesting about that." "I was trying to sit with them at first and listen but I was yawning all the time and finally Mom told me to go to bed because I had school in the morning." "My parents and the guests stayed outside. It wasn't very late but I felt a bit sleepy." "I was in bed already when I heard the twins arguing again - right next to the window of my room." "I got up and peeked through the window. Lilith was crying."

Lilith. This name sounded familiar. I was wondering where I'd heard it before, repeating the name several times. Suddenly I remembered - this boy from school, Darien Dreamer...He had said his mother's name was Lilith. Could that be her? I wanted to know more, so I kept reading...
"Lilith’s Mom saw that she was crying but didn’t do anything. She didn't go to comfort her. Poor Lilith. Aunt Mary-Sue was always very nice to me. Doesn’t she care about her daughter?" "I felt so sorry for my cousin that I went outside in my pj's to ask if she was okay. She said it happened all the time but her eyes were still wet. Lilith went home alone.
Soon after that everyone else left, too."
"Today was my first day at the new school. All the kids were really nice to me. I even found some new friends. One of them lives right next to my house – his name is Beau Broke. I hope we can play and study together sometimes."

"And I got my first A today! In maths! I am still so happy about that. The teacher said I was a clever girl :)"

What a nice first day this Lucy had at school, I thought bitterly, thinking about my own that hadn't turned out so nice at all...I sighed.
"Mom was very proud of me."

I sighed again while reading. I had no mom to be proud of me. Maybe reading this diary still was a bad idea. It made me sad...
"Mom hasn't found a job yet, and I hope she never will. I know I shouldn't think that way but I really like it when she's at home. She has time to play with me and to cook and she even helps me with my homework." "Wouldn't it be enough if only Dad went to work? He's a cop now. I think cops earn a lot of money. Dad is hoping to get a promotion soon. He's working out in the living room at the moment, I can hear him jumping there..." "Okay, Diary, I have to go now. Mom's calling me - the lunch must be ready.
Till next time,

Lucy"

Knowing I shouldn't be reading it, I was already closing the diary when I noticed Lilith's name on the next page and just couldn't put the diary away.
"Dear Diary,
It's me again, Lucy. You won't believe what happened yesterday. I was brushing my teeth and getting ready for bed when I heard someone arguing. Again. Pleasantview is not so pleasant at all. It seems to be the capital of arguments."
"I was surprised to see Lilith outside our door. She was arguing with my Dad. Or actually Dad was the one arguing. Lilith sounded more like she was...pleading." "I got closer to the door to hear better.
"Please, uncle John, I have nowhere else to go," Lilith was saying.
"You have a home," my father replied.
"Please..."
Mom was in the bedroom already so I ran there to tell her Lilith was here."
"Okay, that's enough, Lilith. You can't stay here. Get into the car, I'll drive you home," I heard my Dad saying when I got close to the door again. Mom was with me this time.
"Well...Could I at least talk to aunt Jenny?" Lilith wanted to know.
"Yes, come in, dear," Mom suddenly said."

"What's wrong, Lilith? What are you doing here so late?"
"Can I please stay here, aunt Jenny, please?" Lilith pleaded.
"What happened, then?"
I was standing very quietly, hoping Mom wouldn't make me to go to bed. I wanted to know what had happened, too."
"When I got home from school today, I really needed to talk to my father, but when I got to my parents' bedroom, he was on the bed with our maid. Kissing her!" Lilith explained and a tear ran over her cheek." "I started shouting at him but then Angela came to protect her Daddy and told me to shut up. We had a horrible fight again. They all hate me, aunt Jenny!" "When Mom got home, Angela was pretending like nothing had happened. She just loves living in a perfect family...Mom didn't even bother to ask what was wrong with me..."

Poor Lilith...How could her family treat her like that?
"I took some of my things and got out of there. I just couldn't stand it anymore - pretending to be a happy family while in reality..."
"It's okay, dear, you can stay here tonight." my mother said, seeing that Lilith was about to burst into tears.
"But please call your mother to let her know you're with us."
"Okay," Lilith agreed. "But they won't care..." she added, whispering."
"While she dialled the number and waited for someone to pick up the phone, Mom asked me to go to bed. I didn't want to go but Mom didn't let me argue with her..." "I heard Lilith on the phone from my room.
"Angela, I need to talk to mom," she said quietly.
There was a moment of silence before Lilith spoke again. "She's sleeping? No, it's not important" she finally said and hung up the phone.
"I was almost asleep when Dad came to tuck me in.
"Daddy?" I whispered. "She can stay with us, can't she?"
"Tonight. Sleep now, Luce. Good night."
"Good night, Dad"
[Thanks for reading, I'll finish here this time because I lost Audrey, too, and don't have her at the moment. But she'll be back soon :) -kalisa- ]
