As he sat there and watched Gloria turn and leave, by herself.
he knew already that not going with her had been a bad idea.
A very bad idea. "Damn...." he thought.
Despite Jackson's previous recoveries, he knew that this time.... Everything was worse.
Jackson was far too unstable then what he let on and Gloria didn't seem to have a clue.
But wasn't that the reason why he was told to come here, to come and protect her?
Quickly he stood up and started towards the door. He was about to pull it open and walk through,
when instead a nurse pushed it and ran into him. Then all at once, he felt a sharp pain on his side.
He quickly looked down and found a needle sticking out of his side.
Andrew turned and stared back at the nurse, whose face was absolutely horrified.
She tried to say something but couldn't, all she could do was cover her face.
He smiled, in an act to show kindness and hide his pain, while he pulled out the needle.
Blood started to stream down his side and his shirt was stained.
At the sight of blood, the nurse seemed to finally start to react.
She tried to apply pressure to his side so she could bandage him but he wouldn't let her.
Before he could tell her it was alright, his muscles went rigged and his senses heightened.
The conceived notion that danger was near caused him to push the nurse out of the way
as he ran towards Jackson and especially Gloria.
{scene change}

because I know how much you love these :D
"All you Guardians are the same! You assume that we know whats going and why." she scowled.
"But I thought you did know everything. Especially since you took a special interest in Jackson." he teased.
"Not necessairly. I just know that he's the leader of ADONIC and Gloria is his sister.
And that right now he's in pain while you do nothing about it!" she exclaimed.
He sighed,
"Jacquelyn, you have to believe me when I tell you that there is nothing we can possibly do that would help Jackson."
She crossed her arms and looked down, "There is always something that can be done."
"Honestly. There isn't. It's his internal battle, one he's been fighting for years." he replied.
She thought about it and looked up, "Explain."
He looked at her and knew that he had to explain.
"Jackson's family lineage is literally split down the middle. One side could be considered "good" and the other side could be considered "bad", in a sense. It would be plausible to consider them as a Ying and a Yang. But it doesn't work that way. Their "dark" side is constantly trying to dominate their "Light". Understand?"
She nodded and then asked, "Their parents... who was what?"
He continued, "Their father was Elijah Avery. Known to be the most successful leader of ADONIC
and the most successful of the Averys, for as you know, almost all Averys have been leaders but
Elijah has made the biggest impression. His strength and belief in the common good made ADONIC numbers triple.
The rebellion group grew faster than it had in years. And had made bigger impact."
"Their mother, on the other hand, had been Alexandria Conti, the most respected Elite Agent
of APHOTIC. APHOTIC are the ones who, you could say, run the show. They keep today's
citizens in line and destroy any uproars or rebellions. ADONIC is the only group that has been
strong enough to continue and dissent. And because of Elijah's success, Alexandria had
received orders to take down Elijah so that ADONIC success could be crushed."
"And believe it when I tell you that Alexandria had succeeded in capturing Elijah,
She came in the night and seized him while he slept. They were gone for days.
But something must have happened because they returned, hand in hand.
Elijah urged her to stay. And she complied to living with him."
"In the months that passed, her stomach started to grow. Elijah announced the news
and eagerly awaited the birth of his child. But weeks before she gave birth, Alexandria
was captured and taken back to APHOTIC domain. It is said that because of her past
status, she was spared and placed in a shielded vicinity.
"Elijah mourned his loss for the many lonely nights that had followed.
He knew he would not be able to infiltrate APHOTIC territory without losing half his army.
So he waited. Years later, he had received word that Alexandria had died.
But also he was given directions as to where his children resided. And with that, he left.
About 5 months later, he returned but with Jackson and Gloria at his side.
"And it was then that Jackson's internal battles began. He had difficulties adjusting
to his other side and it wasn't until his teens that he learned to keep the darkness at bay."
Jacquelyn sat and pondered his words. How many times had she not seen and heard Jackson
battle his inner demons. The pacing, the murmuring, and the painfully obvious crying.
Gloria seemed to be his only comfort... His only refuge... and she was always there... "Gloria?" she said aloud.
"Ah yes," he murmured, "Gloria. I wondered if you would bring her up."
"Well of course. I mean, if Jackson and Gloria are brother and sister,
why is it that she never seems to have those battles within herself?"
He paused, "You're right. She doesn't have those battles. And she won't.
Gloria doe not have a defense to the darkness. Meaning, once consumed,
there is no way out. Not for her."
{scene change} Gloria felt a chill descend as she walked down the hall. "Maybe I should have brought a sweater" she joked.
But she knew it was not a tangible cold, but more of an intrinsic one; one she couldn't shake off.
She reached her brother's room and took a deep breath, but only trembled harder.
She walked through the door, expecting Jackson to be lying down, but was surprised
to find him standing and staring out the window. However, even then... seeing him calmed her nerves.
She called out to him tentatively, "Jackson?..." and he turned. He looked at her and she noticed a vague look in his eyes.
But instantly he was at her side with outstretched arms. "My sweet Gloria... you came." he whispered.
He beckoned her to come closer and she hesitated. She felt unease come over her again & swore that she could smell blood.
But soon a strong sense of alleviation filled the room and she worried no longer. Instead she walked closer to her brother... ready to return the embrace.
