The Legacy of a family in a town. The Drakes were one of the first settlers of the town.

The Legacy of a family in a town. The Drakes were one of the first settlers of the town. An abandoned wharf. An abandoned Town. No one knew what existed in the town before. No one knew who exactly established this town. But suddenly one day it had been deserted. This town remained uninhabited for the next many years. All seemed peaceful. Not a leaf moved on this deserted land. But this was about to change. Henry Drake opened his eyes and found himself on a strange beach. He didn't know where he was. Or how he got there. He remembered nothing except surprisingly his own name. He stood there on the beach looking into the horizon thinking..... Thinking hard as to who he was. He roamed the town in search of people who he hoped to speak to. But found no one. He seemed to be stuck in a deserted town. A town which seemed to have everything else but people. It seemed so strange. Where were all the people of the town.

Henry roamed aimlessly around the town knowing not what to do. He kept searching for the day, but in vain.

The sun began to go down. He suddenly became aware of his needs. He needed to find a place to live. He remembered he had seen a small house down the road. He quickly rushed in the direction he thought the house was in.
The house was small. It was a quaint little thing. Nothing much around it. Just that much. A house. This was enough for Henry. He just needed to get inside the house to spend the night. He felt curious about himself and about this strange town. He had made plans for exploring the town again tomorrow. He went in. He suddenly felt at home. A strange comfort swept through him. He couldn't completely understand this feeling. He walked through the house. It had a bedroom with a comfortable bed, a T.V and a sofa. The second room of the house was a Kitchen and dining. He suddenly felt hungry. He ate his food and slept for what seemed hours. The next day was spent in exploring the town again. Various thoughts went through his mind. He wondered what he could do for a living.

After an entire day of wandering and meeting no other human, he came home.
He sat on the sofa wondering if the television worked. And surprisingly it did.

He surfed the channels but found nothing interesting.
He decided that he needed to do something. He just couldn't go on like that. He knew the house had a basement. He quickly searched the abandoned junkyard nearby and brought back some working work Tables. He somehow knew that this is what he was good at. He began to develop his sculpting skills. He didn't seem to be successful in making anything. But he kept trying. He tried using different materials and make anything that came to his mind.

Between his forays into the town and a rare visit to the beach, he kept at developing his skill in sculpting. It somehow brought peace.
He finally began to improve his skill and finally made a clay chair. It brought great amount of satisfaction to him. Slowly as Henry spent more and more time in the basement, he got better and better at making things. Soon he became the finest sculptor.

But then who was there to see. Henry felt lonelier as each day went by.
He still longed for company. He often stood outside his house longing for some company. He wanted someone he could talk to. Someone with whom he could share his fears, his loneliness, his frustrations of not remembering who he was.

As days turned into weeks, Henry seemed to have given up on finding a companion, a friend or even another human in the town. Was he going to live and die on a strange land all alone.
Soon Henry fell into a routine. He went around the town looking for fresh vegetables, came home to cook them. His food taken care of, the remaining time he spent in sculpting various articles. Today had been different though. He had been to the wharf. And to his surprise he had seen a ship pass by at a distance into the sea. He suddenly felt a tinge of excitement. He felt this sudden urge to communicate with the outside world.

As the clouds suddenly blackened with the rain clouds, Henry made his way back home, a skip in his walk. He was somehow happy for some reason.
He slept today. He dreamt of various options. Suddenly new horizons seemed to have opened up for Henry. As clouds thundered and a steady pour of rain pounded the house, Henry slept soundly. He did not hear a crash and screams at all. He slept through the rain. Suddenly, early in the morning, there walked down a young girl. She was soaked wet and shivering with cold and fright. She had been on the boat which had crashed into the rocks. She was lucky to have survived in those choppy seas. She walked into the town after standing on the beach for a long time. He hope to find someone who could help her out of this. She didn't know what she had got herself into. She regret her decision to leave home. She felt that she should have followed her sister's advice. She saw the house at the distance. She felt a strange pull to the house. She walked straight to the house and stopped. She wondered if she would just enter a stranger's house. She thought and then after a minute, decision finally made, she entered the house.
