A new series of story of love lost and a love healing the hurt soul

A new series of story of love lost and a love healing the hurt soul It was a lovely day, in the lost quaint and hardly populated city of Princetown. Not many people lived here since the plague had gripped the city a decade ago. All but a few people had left for bigger cities thinking of their safety and health.

And this was what he needed. The quiet and loneliness of this town was what he seeked.
Eric moved into the family house in this quiet town. Money was no problem. His father had left him a great deal. His life was made comfortable. He had a beautiful mansion back in his home town Riverview.

But all he wanted was to spend time on his own in this little home he had for himself - a gift from his mother.
Eric felt comfortable in this abode. He was at peace with himself for the first time after a long time. He felt tired after a long day's travel. He sat to read. Reading was something that helped him, helped him to cope with distress and loneliness.

He spent the evening reading books on inventions and inventing. It took his mind off his turmoil.
A simple soul that Eric was, he didn't miss having the servants around. He was self sufficient. He went about putting his dinner together. A simple dinner - a quick snack of toast and jam. His mind wandered while having his food. Tears of sorrow, misfortune, self pity threatened to engulf him. He quickly finished his food. He needed to distract himself, pull himself away from the memories that gave him nothing but sorrow, shame and hurt. He began exploring the house. He had not been here for a long time. Not since the fateful day, the day which snatched his mother away from him in such a cruel manner.

He began with the basement and found a treasure of distractions. He quickly tried his hand at inventing something from the scraps laying around.
He went on to invent two toys, simple ones but inventions none the less. Eric continued to dabble with scrap, his mind temporarily distracted. A small accident occured while he was busy with a new design. He quickly managed to avert any major injuries.

He realised he needed some help with his inventions.
He went out to explore the town, a town not visited for so many years. He felt anger surge through his body. Anger at his father for taking away all this from him. As he wandered, he came across a shop selling books. He remembered his little accident in his workshop. He entered to buy some books to help him with his inventions.

The loneliness of the place struck him. He hardly saw people in this large town.
For the next few days he concentrated on his skills. He spent most of his day reading about various inventions and inventors. He read books after books available for study. The evenings he spent in his workshop attempting to put in practice all that he had read and understood in his daily study. A few weeks went by before his mind began wandering again and went to the sorrows of the past.

Eric turned his attention to the nearest instrument. He looked at it curiously. He soon realized what it was and its significance. He entered the machine.
He went to a distant past. He came across many very interesting facts and events. He went in search of adventure. He met creatures of the garden who gave him the death seed. Taking leave of the garden people he set out to travel back to the present. He had a new aim, a madness which would again distract him from the sorrows of his past.

Uh-oh! \:eek\: Between his anger, his madness and his loneliness, it sounds like Eric is making quite the uphill battle for himself! I hope everything works out ...

my, a time machine story?  Perhaps, with all his cruel memories, he will try to change his fate, and create a paradox... \:rah\: good story!
