Hello Readers,
I wanted to surprise you guys by bring back Marty, Justine, and Paige… Hope you enjoy…
Hi everyone, it’s nice to see you guys again. I hope that you can remember me and my Broken Home story. Yeah, it had been a while since you heard from me, but I’m here to let you know that I’m okay. Oh, the kids and Justine? I really don’t know too much about them. The last time I talked to you, Justine and I had a divorcé and took the kids away from me. She eventually moved cross town and I haven’t heard from them since; which left me to be alone. I guess being alone was a good thing for me; it made me focus on my career, but I missed my children and I missed my ex-wife. Every time I miss my kids or feel sorry for myself, I will go exercise at the local gym and work out.

Then one day, my whole life changed… At the moment I thought it was for the better….
It was a normal day for me; I was getting ready to do my usual run on the treadmill, when I saw this woman with short hair look at me and then quickly look down. She was running on the treadmill and when she saw me she began to get off and leave. As she was gathering her things, it dawned on me who this lovely woman was.

Marty: Justine? (I yelled hoping I was right.)
She stopped in her tracks and sucked her teeth, as if she did not want me to stop her. I quickly ran to her.

Marty: Justine?

She turns around

Justine: Hey Marty.
Marty: Wow Justine, I did not know it was you (I said excited as I looked her over.) You look different, you cut your hair.
Justine: Yeah I did…
I sat there to see if she was going to say something, but she didn’t

Marty: So what are you doing on this side of town?
Justine: My job… (She paused) The office offered me a better job over here that pays more. I couldn’t let an opportunity like that pass me by.

Marty: Where are the kids?
Justine: School
Marty: Why didn’t you tell me that you were coming back to this part of town? I mean… I would love to see MY kids.
Justine dropped her head and said nothing.
Marty: Justine answer me! (I asked getting frustrated)
Justine: Why should I Marty? You had all the chances to come see OUR children. (She said getting an attitude back)

Marty: How could I when you moved away from me without a goodbye?!?
Justine: It was best for me and my children!

Marty: Selfish! How can you make a decision BY YOURSELF on what’s best for our kids?
Justine: Selfish?!? I am far from selfish!
Marty: Hmmm I can’t tell.

Justine: This is why I didn’t want to move back here! I knew you were going to start bothering me as soon as you saw me! I didn’t come here for this Marty; I came here to work out! If I knew you were here I would have stayed at home! (She said walking off)
I grabbed her by the arms.

Marty: Wait (I said calming down) let’s not do this like this. I’m sorry, let’s start over.

Justine took a deep breath and shook her head up and down to agree with me.

Marty: So, what new with you and the kids?
Justine: They are the same; Paul is in high school now and is the captain on the basketball team. He’s actually driving now (she said excitedly). He’s also making good grades; he never gives me any trouble, you know he was always taking care of mommy when you weren’t around.

I smiled. It made me happy to know that my son was doing so well; it made me even happier to know that he is the captain of the basket ball team.
Marty: How is Justice? Is she walking and talking yet?

Justine: Of course, she is talking up a storm…. You know Paul has been teaching her new things every day.
Marty: Wow, I’ve missed a lot.
Justine: Yeah…well…. Life goes on.
There was silence.

Justine: How’s Phil?
Marty: Phil? Oh Phil, I don’t know anything about him as well. (I said lowering my head). Paige stop sending him to me for the summer.
Justine: Oh, I’m sorry to hear that.
I felt bad; I had three kids and did not know anything about either one of them. I wanted to make it up.

Marty: Justine, do you think I can come over and visit them? (I asked hoping she would say yes.)
Justine: I….don’t….know (hesitated)
Marty: Please Justine I need to see my son and daughter; I’ve missed them so much.
Justine looked at me and took a deep breath…

Justine: Yes Marty you can come visit your children…

I was so happy knowing that I was going to get to see my kids.
Marty: When can I see them?
Justine: Let’s try for later on today
Marty: Thank you Justine.

At that moment I felt the urge to hug her and so I did. It must have caught her off guard because she did not let me go so quickly. Having Justine in my arms brought memories back; as much as I missed my kids, I missed my ex-wife….
She let me go

Justine: Ah, see… see you later (she said starting to walk off)
Marty: I don’t know how to get in touch with you later.
Justine: 213 Simsville Lane (She said leaving the gym).

I don’t know what that hug had in it, but it surely packed a punch. It made me feel like, if I put in the hard work, Justine and I could workout. Maybe I am jumping ahead of myself right now, but I don’t care. I have hope that we can sort this out and get back together again and live happily ever after.

Come Back for more... XOXOs ^.^
