Beauty is the soul that is bathed in light.

Beauty is the soul that is bathed in light. Unable to stop his feet from moving, it didn't matter how hard he tried. Something dark was squeezing around his soul, an iron grip. Did he even have a soul? After all, he was only the host to something much more dark and sinister. "Silver, come on boy we have been sent on a errand. I know boy, I've tried." "Is there a way out? Will you help me find it?"

Silver was a gift to Jaymes from Lexi, the only thing he could connect to. Sometimes Jaymes believed that Silver understood him. It was the only release that he had. Because of Silver he was able to hold on to that small beacon of hope.
Heavy with sorrow and sadness Jaymes mounted his steed. "Let's go boy." Not too far away

Lamia and Tiny out for their evening walk. They go nearly every evening. Having just arrived in this small little out of way country town almost two weeks ago. She loved it. Leaving the big city far far away.
Fresh air and the sound of night critters calling to one another and the birds passing on their night secrets to each other. The night sky is not littered with light pollution. What could be more perfect than this? She and Tiny had come across this quaint little cemetery on the first night they arrived. She found it so peaceful. Something, however, she found so odd. It was the oddest thing she had ever seen or come across. It was both welcoming and bewildering. She couldn't help herself. She discovered a lamp post always on like it never burned out and next to it was a chair sitting beside a grave and always one fresh single rose. It wouldn't be hard to understand if this was fresh grave, but it was not. She wasn't really sure just how old it was. The markings on the headstone had been worn down by weather. The chair so alone and empty had rusted, the cushion wasn't in too bad of shape. Maybe she would replace it. But those two things really weren't what she found to be the oddest, what she found that struck her the most were the flowers that grew over the grave and no where else. Here she would sit and talk and sometimes read aloud to the grave. She didn't even know whose grave it belonged to. Maybe one day she would be lucky enough to catch whomever it was that brings the rose.

Lost in her thoughts while Tiny was out sniffing around she didn't hear the approaching horseman.
Jaymes knew the old man Snow's place, not ever having actually been there himself. He didn't know how he knew, it was just there, like a memory that he just remembered that he had forgotten.

Getting closer to the graveyard, the lamp post caught his attention.
Standing behind the trees and bushes, he edged closer for a better look.

Upon seeing this quite out of the ordinary scene, Jaymes thought to himself "Why! it's a young woman!, why in the world would she be here after dark. What is she doing? Reading? To that grave?"

He found it so odd, what a strange sight to see. Something inside him woke up and he smiled, though he didn't realize that he was smiling. A rustling sound brought him to attention. She was moving.
Backing up slightly behind the trees, he watched her move closer to the fence. The wind picked up a tiny bit and sent a breeze across his face. The smell of honey and spice gracefully wandered by. "Hello?" Lamia called out. "Anyone there?" Hearing nothing but the sound of crickets.
"Tiny, maybe it's time to go home now."
"Let's go Tiny, ready?" Jaymes didn't know for sure if this young woman was the one that bought old man Snow's cabin or not. He decided to follow her. Tiny caught a whiff of something, begging to be set free of the leash. Both of them turned to see what it could be that Tiny thinks is there. But Lamia saw nothing, heard nothing, this looming feeling of something unseen surrounded her. Tiny had already turned heading for the house. "Tiny, come on..race ya. If you win you can chew up the newspaper." "Sorry Tiny, I win, now you just get to bring it in."

Tiny didn't care, he was proud and happy to bring in the paper it always led to a treat,
Making her rounds before she settled in for the night. The two joys in her life which also prompted her to leave the city far far away, were her best friends. Tiny and Mr Ed. She had rescued both animals from an animal swapping mill and she loved them dearly. They understood her and she understood them. They were her life. Up the hill nearby Jaymes sat on his mighty steed and watched her.

"Yes, Sliver she is the one who lives there now. She is the one Lexi sent me for."
Something came alive inside Jaymes, what exactly, Jaymes didn't know. He turned to Silver "Hey buddy, you go back to the shed and wait for my call. I think I'll be around here for a few days. I'll call when I need you. You'll hear it, won't you" As he neared her home, he heard Silver gallop away. To himself he thought.
"Now lets see what Lexi is so uptight about with this one." Maybe he'll lie to her and tell her he found nothing interesting and that she has nothing to fear, maybe then she'll leave this one alone.
He stood peering into her window. Speaking in his mind "Yes there you are sweetheart. You have nothing to fear from me, not yet anyway." And he hoped that it wouldn't come to that, the use of fear, it hurt him more than anyone would ever know. As he had wished he saw her sitting at the table eating her dinner. Nothing all that grand to look upon. Small, frail, mousy brown hair, large brown eyes, and freckles spread across her nose. Why would Lexi even bother with this one? Candy upon her lips, Silk upon her skin. And something else much more powerful.

Storybook Blooper: never try this at home. Something bad will happen.

Thank you all so much for everything. My love of books and fairy tales inspires me a great deal. Thanks to *The Hollow* for the inspiration set up in screen #9.
Thanks to all the creators whose CC makes this all worth while.
(((BIG HUGS)))

Stay tuned for chapter 2 :)

aaaah Lamia, so pretty and loving\:P , I think Jaymes might fall for this girl and hopefully that will be enough to break the evil hold Lexi has on Jaymes. Lexi is pretty as well, but not in the way it really matters. Looking forward to more\:wub\: thank you\:wub\:
