Hey all this is my third story and I wasn't sure what genre to put it in so I put it in Drama, I guess that it actually suits the story when I think about it.I want to thank the CC creators for this one because I've used a lot of your creations, especially on my main girl character, Ella Edwards.

Hey all this is my third story and I wasn't sure what genre to put it in so I put it in Drama, I guess that it actually suits the story when I think about it.I want to thank the CC creators for this one because I've used a lot of your creations, especially on my main girl character, Ella Edwards. I should have noticed that something was wrong when I noticed that my mum's car wasn't parked in the garage. She was always home when I came back from a gig. She would always want to know how I did or if I'd become a little bit more famous. But she wasn't in the living room when I walked in to check on her. "Maybe she's just gone out," I told myself as I tried to calm my nerves.

I walked into the kitchen and noticed that she hadn't left me a note. My stomach began to flip and I swallowed the vomit that clawed its way up my throat.

"She's probably shopping for dinner or maybe she just caught up with someone," I mumbled.
I opened the fridge door to see that we were running low on food. My stomach calmed down after that and I scolded myself for getting carried away. I couldn't help myself. I just worried about my mother after all she wasn't the fittest or strongest person in the world. I mostly worried about her after my father had died in a fire. She had become so weak after that and I felt as if I had to protect her from the dangers this world managed to keep hidden. It wasn't until I got a phone call from the police that I realized that something was wrong.

"Hello?" I asked in a shaky voice.

"Is this Ella Edwards?" a male voice asked.

"Yes," I replied.

"I hate to tell you this but I am Officer Taylor and your mother has died in a car accident," Officer Taylor said.

"What?" I gasped. "No that can't be right."

"I'm sorry," he whispered. "But her car hit a tree."

Officer Taylor tried to calm me down but he couldn't. I hung my phone up and I let the tears roll down my cheeks.
I ran into my mother's room and threw myself down onto her bed. I cried myself to sleep and I knew that I was all alone in this huge house of ours. I woke up through the night and I felt as if someone was watching me, I was about to investigate when sleep pulled me back under. 6 months later.... After my mum had died I left the house for several months and now I was back. I walked up the stairs towards the front door. I allowed my feet to drag along the ground as I remembered why I hadn't been here for so long. Once inside I realized that I made a bad mistake to come back. I rested against the wall and I put my hand to my head and closed my eyes slightly. Tears were stinging my eyes and a headache was forming besides all of that I could smell a really bad smell that made my head spin. It smelt like rotten eggs in here but the house was clean and empty when I left, nothing should have smelt this bad. I took a step deeper into the house only find a picture of my mum. I ran out the house crying. The memories flooded back and forced me to forget the smell that seemed so out of place.

"I should never have come back," I sobbed.
I didn't realize how far I had ran until my feet made a crunching sound. I looked down to see that I was at the beach. I walked towards a little hut and climbed the steps so that I could sit down in a chair. I was exhausted and the summer sun didn't help any. "Are you okay?" a male voice asked.

I looked up to see an attractive man looking down at me. His eyes were a beautiful shade of blue and he was shirtless with water droplets running down his chest and abs.
"I'm fine," I lied.

He looked at me with a curious expression and took a step closer. I jumped to my feet and backed away.

"I'm not gonna hurt you," he promised.

"Who are you?" I asked.

When he looked at me it reminded me of the night I spent in my mum's room after I had received the news. His gaze felt as if someone was watching over me, it almost felt like he was protecting me.
"My name's Josh Harrison," he replied. "And yours."

"Ella Edwards," I said.

"Nice to meet you Ella but, before, when you said that you were fine I knew that you were lying," Josh said.
My mouth dropped open. I was an excellent liar and he had caught me out on it.

"H-how?" I asked.

"How did I know that you were lying?" Josh asked and I nodded. "Easy, it's a gift I have."
As the afternoon continued, I found that I was able to relax around Josh. He went to change and he came back offering me a ride home. I agreed only because I didn't want to hurt his feelings.

"Thanks for the ride," I said as I walked towards my front door.

Josh trailed behind me and I could hear him laugh. "Your welcome."
I turned around to open the door that I had carelessly left unlocked.

"I really appreciate the lift Josh you wouldn't believe how much I needed the company," I said as I turned back around. "Josh?"

He was no where to be seen and I knew that he was here only a second ago. His car was gone. He couldn't have moved that fast or maybe he could how was I to know?

Great way to start, and although some parts could be slightly improved, I think the storyline is going to be interesting \;\)
