Hey guys its chapter 2 :D Please read chapter one so that you can kinda figure out certain things. I hope you all enjoy this. There was a knock on the front door and I ran to answer it thinking that it was Josh but it was my best friend Delilah.

"Del what are you doing here?" I asked.

"Askin' my best friend if she wants to head out tonight since she is feeling better," she replied.

I smiled. "Let's go."
Delilah laughed at me. "Not in those clothes El. Go change into something nicer and fix your hair then we can go."

"Great," I replied sarcastically. "I must dress in rags to give you that impression."

Delilah laughed harder and shoved me inside my own home.
Once I had changed and fixed my hair I met Delilah outside. She had a taxi waiting and we drove into main street. The taxi pulled up in front of a karaoke bar and we climbed out.

"You don't expect me to sing do you," I said.

Delilah just shook her head and gestured for me to keep walking.
Once inside Delilah led me to the pool table on the second story. I rolled my eyes at her as she set the balls up and handed me a pool stick. I watched Delilah go first and she got every single ball in on the first hit.

"Oh c'mon that's impossible," I said.

Delilah giggled. "Your turn Ella."

She moved out of the way and let me have a turn. I put the balls back in place then I leaned down and positioned the stick in front of one. It hit the ball.
My skin began to crawl as I stood back up. I sniffed the air and the smell of rotten eggs filled my nose. I wanted to throw up but I couldn't. I could feel someone watching me and it didn't feel good. It didn't feel like the way Josh looked at me instead it was the complete opposite. I looked over at Delilah and saw that she was standing in a comfortable sort of way. She didn't seem to notice the stare but she had a good poker face.

"Del do you feel as if someone is staring at you?" I asked.

"Nope all I can feel is my victory," she replied.
The tension and uneasiness I had felt before disappeared as I laughed at my best friend's expression. I sniffed the air again only to smell the alcohol in the cup Delilah had on the table. I relaxed as I realized the smell was gone. But I didn't scold myself for imagining things because I still felt as if something bad was about to happen. It was getting late and Delilah had to work in the morning. She was calling a taxi so I went outside. It smelt so beautiful out here, it smelt like wet grass after the rain and it relaxed me. I walked towards a little garden behind the bar when the wind shifted and the smell of rotten eggs came back. My skin began to crawl and I spun around to see a guy standing behind me. "Well aren't you just beautiful," he said in a husky voice.

I blinked and he was gone. I felt a strong pair of arms wrap around my neck. I threw my hands up put I realized that he wasn't hurting me. In fact he felt as if he didn't want to hurt me.

"That's not how to strangle a person for their money," I muttered.

The guy laughed. "I don't want to hurt you, I don't want your money. I only want your Guardian."

"My what?" I demanded.
I could hear someone running towards us. I looked straight ahead and I saw Josh running towards us with his jaw clenched.

"God dammit Ed I can't leave her alone for like five seconds without you going near her," Josh snapped.

"Hey Josh," Ed replied in a bitter tone.

"Let her go," Josh growled.

Ed laughed and pushed me to the ground. I landed on my hands and knees allowing me scurry to a corner quickly.
Josh waved his hands around and a bright light followed them. His glare deepened as he stared at Ed. He thrust his hands out towards Ed who stumbled back. I waited for him to collapse to the ground but he didn't. Josh started laughing at Ed's reaction. Ed clenched his hands into fists and took a step towards Josh.

"You think your the best because you can now play with magic with your hands instead of a wand," Ed spat. "You think your so good because you were chosen to be a Guardian and I wasn't."
I shot a warning glance at Josh but fear was quick to take the spotlight.

"Josh be careful," I said.

Ed looked at me from over his shoulder. He growled at me then disappeared. Josh walked over to me and I allowed him to help me to my feet.
"I'm really sorry about that," Josh said. "I guess that I have to explain some things to you but I need to know if Ed said anything to you."

He stared at me while waiting for an answer but I couldn't give him one. He was about to talk more when I leaned towards him.
I grabbed Josh and I kissed him. I felt him smile as I pressed my lips against his. I've only known him for a few hours but I had to do this. I had to kiss him. Watching him stand up for made me realize that he cared about me. "There you are El, the taxi is waiting for us," Delilah said as she walked towards Josh and I.

"Oh okay," I mumbled as I took a step towards Delilah.

"Aren't you gonna introduce me to your friend?" Delilah asked.

"Oh," I gasped. "Josh Delilah. Delilah Josh."

They shook hands and Josh turned to face the other way, obviously giving us some privacy.
"Like I said the taxi is waiting for us," Delilah said and she titled her head towards Josh. "Maybe your friend will want a lift."

"Do you wanna come with us Josh?" I asked.

He nodded. Delilah smiled and moved ahead of us.

"I just wanna keep an eye on you," he said.

"That's creepy," I whispered.

Josh smiled. "I don't trust Ed. He'll come after you again."
Once I got home I changed into my gym clothes and plated my hair to the side. I walked back into my room to find Josh standing in there.

"I'm glad to see that you've made yourself at home," I said.

Josh smiled. "Well your friend showed me to the room and said I could stay in it."

I rolled my eyes. "I bet she did."

"You look like your going to gym," he noted.

"These are my comfy clothes and they're also my gym clothes," I replied.

Josh laughed.
"Look I really need to explain everything you saw tonight. It's going to be difficult and your going to think that I'm crazy but a human has never seen me use my powers before and the people that I've had to guard have never known what I am but your different you've seen me use my powers," Josh began. "Look, Josh, it is really late and everything is really confusing. Maybe you should explain things to me when I've had some sleep," I said.

"You don't think I'm a freak?" he asked.

"No, just because you can use magic it doesn't make you a freak. I just need things explained because I need to tell you things," I said.
