"What else do you want me to do? I've done everything I could possibly do for you here."
"Well for one we can move back to the city where we belong, and out of this hick town! I'm already feeling my IQ drop from being in this place!"
"That's why I built this house here Tiara, so you didn't have to think about where we are as much, and didn't have to complain about being here." Jason stated. "You could've built this house in the middle of the desert and we would still be having this conversation. I loved being in the city. I had friends, my career, my life, everything!" Tiara spat. "why does everything have to be about you? Maybe I wanted to be out here. Experience new things, meet new people, get out of the city for a while. Why can't you do the same for me for once?" Jason questioned. "Fine then Jason, lets make a deal. In a few months of being in this redneck hole, if I find it just as repulsing as I do right now, we can go back to the city and continue on with our lives. And forget we ever came here in the first place. Okay?" "fine, deal." Jason said.
"Oh wonderful! I promise you, by the end of this you will realize I'm right." Tiara embraced him then, and squeezed lightly. Jason received it open heartedly, but thinking to himself if going back was really what he wanted.
She then ended the hug, smiled quickly, and twitched off saying she needed to go freshen up, flipping her hair as she did so. Jason watched here walk away, still pondering to himself. 'Maybe being here will rekindle the feelings we had for each other, and finally start a family.' He thought quietly. Letting his mind wonder, he felt his body take him outside to the backyard. The scenery was beautiful. Picket fences, leaves turning color for the autumn that was quickly arising, mountains everywhere you looked, fresh crisp air, and silence. No constant traffic jams, tall buildings, caked on cracking cement in every corner, and enveloping smog that filled the air you tried to breath. Just nature being itself in all its beauty. He smiled to himself, he missed this, a lot. He never knew how much he took for granted when he was a child growing up in the countryside. A ranch with many animals, friendly neighbors, and a handful of people you could truly call friends. The people he considers friends now couldn't really be classified as so, more like close business associates. So much has changed since he decided to get his business degree in the big city, and become CEO of a major company. When he decided to go to university, his parents were thrilled, and completely supported his choices. Their whole life savings went into his future, to do what he wanted to do with his life. After moving and settling in, it didn't take long for him to meet someone that tickled his fancy. They met on a night out with their friends, when they had a few mutual friends in their groups, and hit it off instantly. It was the typical "love at first sight" it seemed. They married quickly, she didn't want to waste any time. Jason, by that time, had his career well on its way by that point, so their wedding was big and extravagant. Everything that she wanted of course. As an aspiring model, Tiara has a very, how do you say it, unique quality about her. She was beautiful, men chasing their tails wanting to be with her. Jason didn't really bat an eye, he knew she was with him and only him. "Tiara, I'm going to head into town, see if anyone is looking for hire around here. Someone has to pay the bills for all this new stuff." Jason called. Tiara walked out of the bathroom then, just finishing admiring her own refection, and stood in front of him and smiled.
"Okay darling, I'll see you when you come home. I'm probably just going to work on some new yoga positions I'm learning. Love you." she smirked.
"I love you too." He answered. They shared a small peck, then he headed out.
Around here, there were only a few small businesses. Not major, and didn't require many requirements to be hired on. When Jason found a business company, the owner was completely baffled that someone with skills and rank wanted to work at his business. Needless to say he was hired instantly. He walked slowly back to the car, taking in all the new surroundings around him. When he reached where his car was parked, he decided to take a drive around town, get the feel for the new place. Driving up one of the winding roads, he instantly spotted the most amazing place he has ever seen. It was a beautiful ranch, that reminded him almost of his childhood home. White fence, horses, and perfectly simple barn and matching house. After staring at the house, remembering his child days, he realized he was sitting in his car, in the middle of the road.
"I should keep driving," he said to himself, "I probably look like a stalker sitting out here in my car." He looked back at the farm, his hands tightly grasping the steering wheel. Just as he moved his hands to the shifter, he heard a whinny. One of the horses had stopped grazing, and was looking in his direction. He sighed, what a magnificent creature. Before he even realized what he was doing, his hands were on the door, opening the latch.
His mind kept telling him how wrong it was to be on someone else's property, but his body was already walking toward the fence line. He stopped just before the fence, and stood there, with a smile creeping onto his face again. He watched the horses inside grazing peacefully, and let out a deep sigh, feeling so relaxed for once, when suddenly a woman's voice broke into the air.
"Hey! What the hell do you think you're doing?"
