Can Blaze forgive Samantha? Or will he find comfort with the woman that Gary's forgotten about?

"Hey Blaze," Gary started running into him in the hall, "I think there's been some kind of misunderstanding."

"Get out of my way, Gary!" Blaze's face turned from tears to a grimace, "If you keep forcing yourself on Samantha you're going to pay for it!"

"Blaze, seriously calm down," Gary tried again.
"No, what you are doing isn't right. Samantha and I are engaged, we're together! What in the world do you think you're doing messing around with her?" Blaze poked his finger into Gary's shoulder accusing him.
"Look man, Samantha's pretty much told me that she'd rather be with me," Gary crossed his arms, "We make eachother happy. Maybe it's time for you to move on." "Look, you jerk. I love her, I'm going to marry her and you are going to stay out of our way," Blaze pushed Gary hard against the wall, "I don't want you anywhere near Samantha." Gary pushed back, "I'll be with who I like and there's nothing you can do about it."

With that Gary pushed past Blaze, went into his room and slammed the door.
A moment after hearing the door slam I came out of my bedroom wondering what was going on, "Blaze?" His shoulders were heaving up and down because he was most definately trying not to cry. "What do you want?" He asked after wiping his hand across his face.

"Please, can't we talk about this?" I tried to ask, "I haven't had a chance to explain."

"What is there to explain Samantha?" Blaze shook his head, "You're in love with Gary, you'd rather be with him. Just admit it."
"Blaze, I'm not going to admit to something that isn't true," I answered crossing my arms at his indifference.

"Samantha, don't lie..." Blaze hung his head, "Gary told me how you feel about him."
"I'm not lying. I still love you and only you. Whatever Gary told you isn't true. Please listen to me," I begged him sitting down. "Samantha, you can't expect me to ignore what's been happening. I told you that I don't care who you are friends with, but I don't want you to hang around Gary anymore," Blaze demanded, "He's only going to keep trying to steal you away." "What? Blaze, what in the world makes you think that I want to be around Gary anymore anyway? After how he's been acting...he has absolutely no respect for any kind of commitment," I pointed my finger at Blaze, "and don't think for one second you can just choose my friends for me like that." "I'm sorry, you're right. I can't choose your friends, I just want to protect you, to protect us and our arrangement," Blaze answered hanging his head. "It's okay, I know that you just want to make sure we have a good engagement and marriage. You're just trying to take care of me," I reached out and took his hand, "Blaze, I....I want you to know that I'm not in love with Gary. I don't want to be with him. I want to be with you. You're the one who makes me happy." "I hope you believe me," I finished.

Blaze took a deep breath and said,
"I believe you Samantha, and I love you. We'll figure this out," he smiled at me with that familiar twinkle in his eyes, "I really should go apologize to Gary, I practically kicked him out of the house."

We both giggled, "Yeah, maybe you should do that."
I pulled him close, "I really hate it when we fight like this."

He squeezed me back, "Me too, I'm so sorry."

"Are we okay then?" I asked, "I need to get ready for class."

"Yeah, we're okay. We'll talk later about what to do about all of this," He answered kissing the tip of my nose.
While I was getting ready for class Blaze went to find Gary and apologize.

"Is um, Gary around?" Blaze asked after opening Gary's door.

"Nope, just me," Angie answered putting away a book she had been reading, "You're Blaze right?"
Blaze nodded, "Yeah that's me. When do you think Gary'll be back?"

"Hmm, I really don't know," Angie smiled, "I was wondering when you'd come in and introduce yourself."
She got up from the bed, "I was hoping you could help me out."

"What do you mean?" asked Blaze always willing to lend a helping hand. "Well, I've noticed how connected you and Samantha are, and well, I don't have that with anyone," She explained.

"Aren't you engaged to Gary?" Blaze asked not having a clue what she was getting at. If she needed advice why didn't she talk to one of the girls in the house.

"Well, yeah we have a contract and all that, but he doesn't really find me attractive. He doesn't like spending time with me," she said biting her bottom lip.
"Uh, I'm sorry to hear that...?" Blaze answered not knowing what to say. "Yeah, It used to be really hard going out with him and stuff because we have no connection. I was really bored with relationships and all that, but then I came here," she inched closer to Blaze, "and met you."

She smiled up at him, "I think we could have a connection, don't you Blaze?"
"Heh...I'm flattered" Blaze began. "I know you find me attractive, I can see it in your eyes. I felt it in your smile when we first met," Angie interrupted and grabbed his hand, "isn't that true?"

"Angie, um..I think you've got me all wrong. I'm in love with.." but she didn't let him finish.
Angie fiercely kissed him, pushing him up against the wall. The kiss lasted for barely a moment when Blaze finally pushed her away, "What in the world are you doing?!" "What the heck is wrong with the two of you?" Blaze started to shout, "I just came in here to apologize to Gary for chewing him out about hitting on Samantha and here you are doing the same thing to me!" "Blaze? What's the matter? For goodness sake it was just a kiss," giggled Angie, "Don't pretend you didn't like it."

"There is something seriously wrong with you two," Blaze answered as he left the room.
"Hey hun, you aren't going to believe what just happend," announced Blaze when he came into our room. "What's wrong? Did you beat up Gary again?" I asked with a chuckle. "Angie and Gary are both scum. I don't see how I'm going to survive the semester with them next door," Blaze said with a shake of his finger. "Whoa, what happend?" I wondered, it takes a lot to really get under Blaze's skin so it must have been horrible.

"She pinned me against the wall and kissed me," Blaze said.
"What? Seriously?" I was blown away, "I can't believe this."

"Well, that's what happend," Blaze shook his head, "How can they be engaged and have absolutely no regard for eachother? Worse than that, how can they try and break up couples who do?"
"She played the 'poor me' card," He continued, "telling me all about how Gary doesn't appreciate her or pay any attention to her." "Gary told me that she's got some boyfriend back in Alphalville," My astonishment turned to discust, "He said that she doesn't care for him because she didn't want to be arranged to him in the first place. That's when he kissed me," I shook my head, "Why would she be hitting on you?" Enter caption here. . . "You got me...I have no idea," Blaze let out a sigh, "We can't stay here anymore. I don't want to live with people who don't have any respect for their arrangement or ours."

"You want to move? Blaze, we just got here. You're the house master!" I put my hands on my hips, "We can't move. Besides there's always going to be people like that wherever we go."

"Not if we leave college," he paused for a moment, "People aren't like this in Alphalville, especially if we were officially married."
"Oh my gosh you can't be serious!" I exclaimed, "You want to drop out of college and push forward our wedding all because of some jerks next door?"

"Samantha..." he paused.
"We'll, it's not going to happen Blaze," I said looking away from his hurt face, "You can go back to Alphalville and hide if you want, but I'm finishing school. Period."

"We don't need to be here, Samantha. We don't have to deal with all of this stuff," Blaze said gesturing towards Gary's door, "and you's part of our arrangement contract that my family chooses when we get married."

"Blaze, if you're really going to make your family demand that I drop out and we get married now," I took a deep breath, "than I really believe we should re-think our arrangement."

I think that Blaze is a royal prat. But then so is Gary... A bit. Gary is less of a prat, I suppose... She should be with him!
