i see that ur having the same trouble i did....i got the game as a graduation present right when it came out...totally stoked and junk i go and delete off ALL of my Sims 2 expansion packs just so i had enough memory and junk on my puter......well i get it all installed and then BAM!!! needs pixel shader 2.0 to play game.....soooo long story short....i got angry....and took my puter to the guys who do all that spiffy stuff and they got it working and everything the only thing that steamed my brocoli was that they didnt up my RAM....and the thing is that they even had all the requirements....sooooo when you go in u make sure that they know that u need to update ur RAM to play the Sims 3....if u dont then they wont up it to the RAM that you do need to play the game..
