Did you try downloading the mermaid as a ZIP file or a sims3pack? Sometimes the files don't work and you have to download it all over again. Tell me if this doesn't help.

I have been on the sims, like heavily. I'm a hard core sims-player and I've done SO much but typed so little! About Me

I'm mostly a consumer on The Sims Resource. I don't think I could make any good custom content. Heck, I don't even know how to make custom content! So I'm mostly a 'thank you' person and I download loads of stuff - when I have sims that is. When I joined, I didn't have sims because my PC's graphic card broke. 200 days without sims is no joke I tell you. A little bit of your soul floats away. I got it back Dec 3 2010. And then a virus called 'Security Shield' went and killed my PC again last january. It's fixed now but the computer shop that fixed it stole our strong hard drive and replaced it with one so weak that it couldn't play sims. It's about 160 days without sims now (today is June 30 2011) and the moral of the story is I AM NOT LUCKY.
Okay, now about me. I love playing the sims, reading, writing, singing and mangas (particulary Fruits Basket and SKIP BEAT!!!!)
