updated The latest game patch issues

There are reports of content not showing up in-game and problems installing new content after the latest patch from EA. We are currently narrowing down the issues behind this (most seems to be related to CAS content and textures) and will provide free updates through our newly launched Updates Service. If you have been a subscriber here previously you will be able to download all updated subscriber content for free as well.

We are sorry for the inconvenience this is causing many of you and we will report back here once we have come up with a stable solution.

Update: It seems the problem is not with the file formats, but rather with the installation itself not working properly. Hopefully this is a patch issue that will resolve itself with another patch (since even EA store content refuse to show for some). We'll keep investigating.

Before I got the expansion pack i tried uninstall and then reinstalling the game and I did NOT upgrade to the latest patch - then everything worked just fine.
Then I got the expansion pack, upgraded the game and BOOM - it all went right to hell again.
Well... Now I just accept that some items I just can't download, and then I make sure to disconnect my internet and open the game through the game --> bin - file, and NOT the launcher, and that usually takes care of the problem.
Until today.
My newest problem is the saving process. Now I get a default no 13. What the hell is that??I hate that I play while panic-saving every god damn 5th minute $\:puke\:$
Come on EA DO something!

Well, at least what i can tell is that of the patterns i've downloaded, all of the ones with the SW3 tile install fine. ALL of the ones with the W tile will not install. I do not know which version of The Workshop is which, but it looks to me like it doesn't recognize something about the ones created with the version that marks it with the W tile.... I don't know if this affects the hair and clothes, that's the distinction i see.

Well, after reading the problems everyone has had.. I was a lil leary of going into the game. I haven't played it since I installed WA and the new patch. Well, out of all the cc I have.. only 3 items are showing up in my game. Although the launcher says everything is installed. I even took it all out and installed it back in hoping that would fix it. Nope, I still don't have any cc showing up. It really sux because I had certain families in different themes. Now they are all generic. I hope they fix this mess soon. Today was the first time in weeks I had a day off so I could play. And now I can't. Its no fun without your own stuff. I'm starting to think I should've saved my 40$ and bought somethin else. Never had any kind of problem with Sims 2. Guess its my turn in Sims 3 now. $\:\($

Hmmm...after adding the comment above I went back and rebooted my pc, restarted Sims 3 and didn't enable the testing cheats like I usually do...and I was able to move my Sims and get almost all of their stuff out of the household inventory before the cursor starting acting funky again. Luckily I only had a few items left and didn't care about them so I just continued the game and played for several hours with no further issues. $\:D$
