This house was originally commissioned in the 1890's by Isaac Newton Van Nuys, a prosperous wheat farmer, who's farm once stood where the community of Van Nuys, CA is now located.

The pale teal with white trim walls add a real elegance to the house as do other touches such as the swag drapes and decorative tile. The border on the tile separates the tile so well from the wood floor but not abruptly, rather smoothly. I loved reading the history of your house too!
