Update - Changes

Hi all,

I have plenty of stuff in store for you. Unfortunately though, my real life just keeps on hindering my creative process. I am currently back in Italy now, but I have a ton of cleaning and sorting out to do. I have been making plenty of trips to Ikea, to help me to continue to be more organised. I am a real neat freak...lol!

Hopefully stuff in my real life will be sorted out soon and I will be ready to start submitting stuff on a regular basis. I have plenty of plans/changes in store. I am so excited about it all. New stuff, changes to my profile and tutorials that I have written, will be published too.

The neverending bathroom set!

Just feels like I have been stuck on this one forever! I hope it's worth all the effort... getting to the stage where I just want to get it published so I don't have to stare at it any longer :P

Hopefully it will all come together in the end, I am really happy with the little candle hurricane vase I made as well, just need to add a nice mirror, perhaps another deco item or two... not bothering to make a toilet as I can't really see what I can add design wise to one to justify the work! (I guess I'm just not a toilet person).

Could just do with more hours in the day to get all my ideas realised now... I have a great idea for some chairs in my head but I must finish this bathroom first!

Hello Everyone, I'm Zebra and its probably really obvious I am new here. I Have to say that this site is pretty great from what I can tell. I can already Tell you that I don''t think I'll leazve this site everor at least not for years.

My Sims

I am hoping by the end of the week to submit three lots in the hope they will be accepted. Each time I tihnk, yes that one's ok I find something I'm not happy with. Did have one all ready to send but then it disappeared and when I open the file I get a blue square with no house on it. Blast!

Town life

I'm kinda excited bout my newest stuff.... Town Life... =3

I can't use CC in lots :(

...I can, but it doesn't consistently package with my lots when I upload them. Support said it has happened to other people as well, but I wish I knew why. Some cc items just don't have anything similar provided with the base game. I don't want people to run into trouble with my lots and not want to download them anymore, so I will have to quit using cc until I can figure out what the problem is.

On the bright side, my first two skyscrapers have gotten approved! They are fun to build, and TSR isn't saturated with them yet. :D

So long, farewell!

I'll keep this brief because, well, I do hate to make a scene.

When I first joined TSR many, many years ago, it was a wonderful, vibrant site, full of fun. I took an instant liking to it, and enjoyed sharing my creations, chatting in the forums and on the IRC, and generally being a part of it.

Over the past couple of years, I've begun to feel less and less a part of TSR. It simply isn't my home any more. And that's a terrible shame, but all things in life change.

My new Sims Internet home is Platinum Simmers, where you'll find a few familiar faces.

A huge thank you to all my friends at TSR, to everyone who's downloaded my creations, and to everyone who's helped me when I've just plain broken a mesh. All the best for the future!

Farewells and Best Wishes

I never thought I'd leave TSR. It has been 'my' home. I've learned so much here, and I have met some very special people...and made many of them close friends. I have so many memories with this site, especially being picked for the Creator's Camp back in 2009 to preview The Sims 3. I will never forget that; thank you, SteveB, for giving me that opportunity. I also have to thank Murano, Apple, Angela, Cyclonesue, Sim_man123, BlackGarden, and Shino&KCR. You all have been such an enormous help in developing my creating skills...I've a ways to go before I can do as well as you all...but, without your help and putting up with my nonsense...I'd still be at square one.

TSR has always had such a special place in my heart, but I think there comes a time when we all must leave our nests.

I have decided, with a few other familiar faces, to leave TSR as a creator/story teller. I will still be creating and writing, and I will always be 'tdyannd'...but, no longer for TSR. You may find me at www.platinumsimmers.com along with BlackGarden, Moza, sww_sww_sww, Deagh, and a few other of my TSR friends.

Future Plans

Hello all who happen to stumble upon this entry, just wanted to add an update to anyone who's been following my stories, or my lack there of I should say.

I am still planning on writing my next few stories and having them published in the near future, as I'm slowly getting ontop of things. It's still difficult to talk about but my grandmother passed away 3 months ago, and when it happened I just kind of stopped everything. I got really behind in all my classes and missed all my deadlines, but thankfully they've given me a second chance and I can still complete my course by the time I wanted to. My course stuff has leveled out now, I'm still behind but they're allowing me to take my time and get it finished properly. The point is that now I have the time and the desire to get back into my writing. I already have the next 3.....no 4 stories all mapped out, and now all my computer problems are sorted out I can finally start digging into them.

I was planning on having heaps more stories out by this time but it didn't go the way I thought it would, this year hasn't gone the way I thought it would, but that's life I suppose, you never know what's going to be thrown your way.

So I'm off to do some writing, I hope you all enjoy my stories to come!

Enquiry about my newly-submitted Sim, Ford Perry

Hi guys!

I'd just like to quickly clarify that the Sim that I've just submitted, Ford Perry, requires all expansion packs and stuff packs up until Generations! Yeah, I'm not sure why it displayed World Adventures as the only required EP when I submitted my Sim. :/ I'm really sorry if I've inconvenienced any of you guys, though. I'll do my best to eliminate such errors in the future!

Just a side note though, the version of Generations that I had when I created Ford Perry was v8.0!

Hidden Grove Prblem

man it's been 1 heck of a wk. first i helped a friend install s2 and it worked out k till i got home and he emailed me he had a problem, he didn't know how to install cc easy read the how to i told him. well he gave me a copy of some created worlds he dl'd from various sites for ts3 so i installed 1 and when i started ts3 my system crashed. i restarted my system in safe mode and did a check on it. nothing so rebutted went ts3 and it happened again. so i uninstalled the world and hit the play button ts3 started and shut down got something about an illegal mod popped up and was not able to play. i couldn't even get into the files i was completely locked out. i had to uninstall the whole game, so i lost every thing i was working on. my houses went bey bey my sims my cc i was doing every s3 program i had i was also locked out of. so now i'm gathering every thing once more. i learned a lesson though, upload my creations and back every thing up....

Hiatus

I would like to apologize for going missing and leave a note as to why.  My son finally had surgery on his knee last month, and that has required several, day long trips.  We also discovered the exterior of our home had been getting rain damage behind the siding.  It was due to faulty installation but the manufacterer of our home (yes I live in a mobile home in reality) have filed Bankruptcy.  So even though the home is only 12 years old, we are stuck fixing the rotted walls on our own!  We are quite literally having to remove and rebuild our home in 12 foot incriments at a time!  From the floor support to the roof!  The roof is new so ironically enough it has NOT leaked lol!  Although it is a major set back, and a huge amount of work, we opted to stay, since the home is almost paid for, and rebuild.  The silver lining is that I will basically have a new home in the end (built properly) and I now get to play Sims for real by designing my actual home the way I want it to be lol!  However I will not have time for creating.  I have already lost the SA title, which would have been my choice anyway, because although it was a honor, I just do not have the time nor the energy to create anything lately.  Thanks to everyone who has been so sweet to me during my time as a SA!  I am now going back to being one of the fans instead of one of the creators!

The glass is a slitlly different color, the setting are the same but i had to use glass for portals as the glass for fence didn't work (it doesnt work in the ea gate i cloned ether lol) heres a sneek peek. found it also looks good with wooden rails

One legacy ends ... another begins.

So those few of you who have read my legacy on the boards know that it has come to an end. And not a voluntary end either. The story's imploded before, but now it's gone utterly belly-up BOOM unsalvagable. Which sucks. And sucks more because I was nearly done with the rotten thing!

Now, the normal course of action for me in this situation is to have a screaming hissy fit, swear off Sims for weeks and months and devote myself to a different video game (Mass Effect, ahem ahem), curse the latest EP/SP I installed for eating my game, whatever. I've decided not to follow these very reasonable courses. Instead, I'm going to start a new legacy. And not just any legacy, since I find the regular rules and scorecard dull as dishwater anyway! I ... am ... doing ... something new!

[... the primary rule is that heirs cannot produce an heir with someone of their parents' lineage. For example, an heir with an Egyptian mother and a French father is free to ultimately marry another Sim of Egyptian/French descent, but their heir must be produced with a Chinese Sim, or someone from their hometown. To that end, oveseas trips (which should be taken frequently in any case) must be taken any time family funds reach §10,000 ...

... heirs are nomadic--they live in tents, or very small shabby dwellings. (While a nicer house is permitted to be constructed on the lot, the heir must not use it as their primary residence.) No burglar or fire alarms are permitted on the lot. No basements are allowed. Collectible items must be hoarded in a storage shed or concealed in chests. Heirs may not establish friendships with celebrities. Celebrity status, opportunities, and accompanying perks are to be completely shunned ...

... All items (except nectar) normally available at a consignment store must be found or bought. Heirs will prefer at-home professions to careers. If a career is chosen, heirs cannot advance beyond level five ...]

... so as you can see, I'm deliberately making it hard on myself. Not quite Apocolypse-Challenge hard, but hard enough. I'm sure my founder will eventually find a way out of this enormous mess I've made for him, though. :D

custom content

I just got a bunch of custom content. I tried to download it and only 2 out of like what 40 of them worked. sometimes, i really hate custom content.....

Questions About Custom Content - Updated Aug 1, 2011

I keep seeing these questions so I'll answer here:

I use custom content from TSR _only_.

If you download one of my houses which has custom content, the content _WILL_ install to your game automatically. You DO NOT need to go hunting for the "other items used" or download them separately.   HOWEVER there is currently an issue with the way the game packages the files so that all of the CC used does not get listed here and/or some of the items that do get listed were not actually used in the creation of the lot.  This is a bug and the admin are aware of it.

If the item comes from the EA Store and you don't have it, the game will replace the item with a base game object.  It will also replace items that come from expansion packs that you do not have.  So while technically the house will show as "base game compatible", you might end up seeing base game items in weird places if you don't have a particular expansion or stuff pack.

If the lot does not show up or work correctly, then you need to _let me know_. You can send me a PM on the forums, sign my guestbook or leave a comment on the download itself.

I guess as this is my blog I can write what I want, not like many will come by and read it lol (mental note don't laugh at your own jokes) ... (or talk to yourself)

Ok I think there was a slight side effect to one of the mods I was/am using.

I married off George Dean to Ellie (I made her) she had a son with Hal Brackenridge, which George and Ellie raise. George's Dad Bennie proving he's not that old marries Elaine Joy and they have a daughter, then Bennie goes and dies and Elaine electrocutes herself, so George and Ellie take on this little girl.

In the mean time, Ellie is pregnant and gives birth to triplets. After they are born, I decided to try out this mod 'Risky woohoo' ... she falls pregnant and they have a son.

So that is Mum and Dad, 4 girls and 2 boys making the total 8. now I know you can't have anymore so I figure it's safe to play around but she falls pregnant again and has a boy, suddenly George is in the house but I can not control him as his icon is gone, so I send the oldest boy to live with his birth Dad Hal, and George reappears in the icons.

Whew I was lucky ... but there's more psml, twin boys arrive next. so now I have to move out the oldest girl .... and George is stilll gone but at least I know he'll keep his pants zipped. LMAO.

It's a really cool mod from Twallan and very funny.

Hi there!

I posted earlier that my graphics card was toasted, and I spent alot of time trying to figure out if I should upgrade this comp or buy a new one. I was not happy at all about having to spend money on computer at this point in time, so no option seemed the right option. At the end, it turned out I didn't have to spend any money on computer just yet, as for the 2nd time, we managed to fix the graphics card by baking it in the owen! I really didnt think it would work the first time, and the same goes for the 2nd time, but thankfully my fiance thought it wouldn't hurt to try it again.

So once again, I have been back to creating. My work in progress is pretty much done,  I just need to do some final touches like setting the price and color options in TSRW, and then make some "ads". Hopefully I get it uploaded by the end of this week, before I pack the comp and move.

And what is the work in progress? 2 fences and 4 matching gates which will be uploaded as Aurora  build items collection part 2.

I attached ingame screenshot for a sneak-a-peak. The fences infront are the new ones.
