Somewhere Out There
Ah yes, I AM still here!
Sorry for the major silence. I've been super busy with my real-life job and haven't had time to create lots like I had. I hope to get some free time soon so I can get back to building again.

New Laptop
Aye! I'm still here. Simming has kind of come to a halt for me. My new gaming laptop should arrive this week so I'll have to reinstall and all that jazz. I'll get going again as soon as I have that up and running. My son gets my old one for his gaming habit and college. If that wasn't all happening I wouldn't get a new one because I'm quite happy with my current one. Anyway, if I'm absent again for awhile that's probably why. Shouldn't take me long to get it all configured.
On a side note, I've been playing RIFT for fun. That's another 14 hour download I'm not looking forward to on my new laptop. Ah well, I'll sleep through most of it. RIFT is quite fun and the community isn't like WoW, which is what I was looking for, and my son will join me once I pass him my old laptop. It's always nice to game with a buddy. And it's a way to keep in touch with him while he's away. Work has been really bad lately so I've needed a more aggressive game to bust the stress. Sims is great and all, but a little warm and fuzzy for the problems I've been having at work.
So on the simming front, not much to report. Once the computer jazz gets all ironed out I plan to get back to it. Maybe I'll make a website again for my screenshots and stories. I've got a couple lot revamps planned and if I ever get my "office" room organized I might find my floorplans for other lots I wanted to do. If not, I'll just go download some new ones in time. And of course I'll be back at TSR to redownload all my favorite things again.
C'est la vie.
Tutorial
ok i will be making a Tutorial soon to show you how to make a underground garage :D

Old Town Tales - The Founding of Old Town
Despite its name, Old Town isn't old at all...relatively speaking. In terms of communities, Old Town is relatively recent. Maybe it isn't as old as New York or Los Angeles or Sim City, but it's still quite young and--as it was originally intended to be--mostly undeveloped. Old Town was created and so named because its founders, disgusted by the way technology and progress were destroying the concepts of society, decided to start their own community that would hold onto and defend the "old ways" of life.
Founding Old Town did not come easily. In fact, all of Old Town is a single vast property originally purchased by a coalition of community members and "donated" to a leadership committee that oversaw and guided the growth of Old Town. To purchase such a huge tract of land required immense sums of money. However, thanks to the significant contributions of a few rich and poweful families (and a lot of smaller prosperous but less-well-off families), the purchase was made.
The greatest contributions came from five main families: the Landgraabs, the Goths, the Silvers, the Golds, and the Rutherfords. The Goths, who gave up nearly all of the fortune they brought with them from the Old Country to the new community, are usually credited with contributing the most financially, but it was the popular Silvers who provided the early leadership of Old Town, the mechanically-savvy Golds (actually only Mr. Gold, since he was the last of his family) who kept everything running, the charismatic Rutherfords who kept everyone's spirits up until Old Town could become self-sustaining, and the business-minded Landgraabs who effectively invested the coalition's funds to help Old Town prosper. With the exception of the Landgraabs (who kept their mansion in Bluewater Village, the large property they had themselves owned and leased out and had then donated to Old Town), the other founding families now live in the largest mansions of Founders' Way. The other families who made lesser contributions to the founding of the town can also be found on Founders' way, but in the smaller mansions.
As a community still developing, Old Town continues to experience some growing pains. An influx of younger residents and an expansion in the originally families' sizes have required the development of more businesses and public places: whereas before the families could live like landed gentry, with large properties to visit and have fun on, now--to spare older relatives the onslaught of loud voices and music--they needed to find other places to hang out at. In addition, some progress and technology had to be allowed into their community--they had to keep up with the modern world, no matter how much they disliked some of its changes. To that end, Old Town began with a few small places here and there in the center of town--the Old Town Public Library and Museum was one such place, as was Grand Gazebo Park. In addition to a beach park and a small shopping complex, there were also a pet shop, a pet park, a coffee shop, and a fishing hole, as well as the small businesses operating in Bluewater Village. The leadership committee also developed the Downtown District, to which the influx of technology and progress could be mostly contained.
Old Town continues to grow, and with its founders steadily aging, it's only a matter of time before some new services will need to be offered. The leadership committee has already begun passing along their responsibilities to their heirs, and one of their last decisions is to build a community center and a senior living retirement complex next door to each other so those of them that decide to get away from the hustle-and-bustle of their family homes can live out their days in peace and comfort with others who share their sentiments.
Just to let you know: Still playing Sims2 :-)
As you can see I still haven't created anything new and I still don't know if I will ever again as my time is so limited - but I still enjoy playing VERY much! I'm pretty sure I'll keep on playing until Sims4 is released - IF it is any better than Sims3 and comes back to the gameplay from Sims2 (in the way that you can control every Sims' life again without them making important choices all on their own while you're playing other families...). And if Sims4 keeps on with that - well, I guess then I'll be playing Sims2 for another 7 years and more ;-)
Best wishes and happy simming :-)
~!Meteor Shower!~
My sim was at school and ther box in the upper-right hand corner said "Jessica wonders why it got so dark...". Right after my sim left to go home a meteor hit the school! Everyone there was burned. I don't know if anyone died... Has this happened to your sims before...?
In search of this hairstyle
Hi!
I've been away for a while so I couldn't check any download websites. Does anyone know where to find the hairstyle on the right picture? I really fell in love with it!

The picture is from a pose set by Danzxncrd's Sims 3 Blog found here.

Head, meet Desk!
Head, meet Desk! I realize that the TSR site has been having... issues. Okay, it's been having a downright tempertantrum, and I know I'm not the only one who has noticed this. From what I've been reading in the chat, there's been a LOT of people who are having problems with the site, especially the uploader. For me, it stalls out and then gives me a string of code (yay) which I do not understand (Code=Geek, er, Greek). I understand the problems, but still... all I want is to upload one little file... and it was working fine last night. Ugh! *Headdesk* *Headdesk* *Headdesk* I wonder if site management is doing that yet? If not, they've got the patience of a saint.
The up 'n' up?
Alrighty! So, I'm in the proccess of a few more houses. A traditional couples starter house (2 story, garage, deck, etc), my old house that I grew up in in Illinois, and a massive build project that will probably take quite a while to finish. I have a number of CC objects that are .package files so they don't show up in the "items used in this lot" list and sadly I still need to make a list of what they are. Due to that, some things might end up "missing" from the lot (or at least look like I didn't finish). Though, I think my brain will work for the most part and only slip a couple things in that don't transfer in the upload :p Anyway, hope you all like what I come up with. :)
First set incoming!
Exciting day for me - submitting my first set of objects today, they took me ages to finish but i think they look ok! Needs some work on the polish and proffessionalism maybe, but all in all ok for a first try at most of the items.
Really disappointed I can't release these as a set bundle, but my filestorage appears to be borked and no-one is answering support for the website, so separate items it is! I think I can get around the problem slightly by putting all the items in the rest of the set as recommended on the items page, so it won't be too much trouble for people to make a set if they want it...
Just need to get some ideas for my next set now!
My First Lot
My first lot, Aqua, was approved and will be available tomorrow!
I'm super excited! I've been making my own Sims lots since I started playing the original game (all those years ago) and it's always been one of my favorite things about playing the game. I'm plan on uploading a few more lots in the near future so stay tuned!
The Chaumont uncovers building problems...
Is it just me, or do warped walls drive you insane? Especially when you think you have it all put together and, regardless of the MAJOR alterations to a floor plan that you have to do, it seems to look alright? Play testing the next installment in the Sweetwater Loop Estates series has given me a bit of headache. Not only that, but now I have some major alterations to do before upload.
The big issue is the stairwell. It's become quite the interesting little thing, not that it needs much done to it, just a few minor fixes. Take a gander at the floor plan:
See the stairwell? Making stairs that look exactly like those pictured is IMPOSSIBLE! At least, not without warped walls or wasted space. I had to create a conservatory look to the stairwell (huge amount of wasted space!!!) because if I didn't, the half wall level creating the landing would warp and the stairs would be unusable. :( So the planned space becomes this:
Yes, it's a giant box because you cannot place walls against the structure and have them appear normal... It creates that lovely warped wall effect. I had to go at least two tiles out for the area that did not have walls when the stairs were built to have them not be warped and the stairwell landing not to be warped beyond repair. It's really frustrating.
Then, there's this little problem:
There's one little section of stairs on the way up that is discoloured, rather it's shaded and dark... :( I like creating things that are esthetically pleasing. To me, four shaded stairs look odd when all the rest are illuminated. I think that staircases like these with a landing, should be added to the game itself. It would make this builder happy, that's for darn sure!!! Either you get warped walls to get the effect you want, or you wind up with a whole heck of a lot of wasted space.
Builders out there - do you have any suggestions? Any stairwells you have built or tutorials you have seen to create something similar to what was needed in this plan WITHOUT the warping to the walls of the outside structure? Comments are much appreciated!

New "Charmed" Set! :)
So I'm working on a new set of sims from the tv show "Charmed" the show ended 5 years ago and it is one of my favorite shows so I decided to honor the 3 leading ladies with a set.
I created a new pool to see if you guys want the sims as a set or as they are ready to download, because the Rose Mcgowan sim is already ready and packed for you guys.
So if you are up for it answer the pool so I can decide on what to do.
Meanwhile I leave you guys a preview image of the sim. Enjoy :)

Collection extended by request
As I commented in the previous message, the collections of the T-shirts would be 6 but I have received several requests to expand the collection to more than 6.
As you can imagine this has made me feel great.
From what I've decided to expand the collections of 6 to 8. Later, I will make more collections of T-shirts, but for now I´ll do these 8 because I have wanted to start other projects.
I am very pleased with the reception are having my first collections and I hope it stays that way hehehe... Thank you very much everyone. This helps to keep doing more.

SAD DAYS
So.... on Sunday, 19/06/2011, my mother died... And these few days.... I will not be able to work sims... New sims I ordered as soon as I can....
It's up!
Well my first lot went up today, very strange to see. I've already noticed a few things I would have liked to change but it's things that I can now keep an eye out for in the future with other creations.
I think I'll try and do another lot tonight and try and improve a little bit, it's all a work in progress!
Regarding my Hedda Outdoor set! Please read if you downloaded it.
Today D3VV noticed a problem with the stool in the set. The low LOD hadn't got its right mesh. The package have now been updated and you can download the new file here. Un-install the old version and install the new one. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Also, I will say I'm working on a new set. Bedroom this time. If everything turns out well, it should be finished next week!
Have a nice day :)

Where am I?
Hi,
just letting you know that I'll be back with new stuff next week.
I know it's been quite a long time, so I hope there are still some of my so-called "fans" left.
I've been really busy with school, there was just no time for "simming".
Frankly, I was seriously considering retiring, and I thought I would be retired by now.
But surprisingly, I'm still here!
If you have any requests, you can post them here, and you have a great shot at having your wish fulfilled.
Kate
Finally back to creating
I have been having a little break from creating, I just had to play Sims again with the new Gen pack. After few weeks of playing, I am ready to continue creating. My current WIP is matching shutters to the Rise High the Window add-on, and few matching curtains add-on too. When I have them uploaded, I will add a list of matching curtains to my windows on their comment sections, including EA's curtains and some of the free creations here in TSR. So if you have been struckling to find matching curtains, the help is on its way :)
Yay! I finally got Generations!!! :)
:rah: I got Generations today!!! I'm having a little fun with the build mode already, haven't really "played" the expansion yet, just playing with build mode again. I'm excited to test out the next edition to Sweetwater Loop Estates with it though. It's just about done, decorations only remaining to be added to the lot so it will be play tested with Generations installed and may feature some of the new items.
But that will have to wait... I'm taking a little trip with my little man to visit his Nana - leaving tomorrow afternoon and won't be back until Tuesday. Leaving my fiance home alone means I can only imaging the laundry and cleaning that will be awaiting me on my return, so it may not get uploaded until late next week! Watch for it - it's much larger than the others that have gone up so far and it's a two story. I put my building skills to the test with this one! Had some flukey stair issues, but they seem to be alright, play testing will tell though!
Happy Father's Day to the Daddies on TSR!
And Happy Simming!
Just Started Creating
I just started creating items for the sims 3. Two of them have been accepted and uploaded here to the sims resource. Please let me know what you think on my creations & how I can improve them! I will probably be focusing on the gothic genre and on children & Toddlers for the most part. However, I might make some teenage clothing. I probably won't make much male stuff but I will try to make at least a little bit of it because I know there is so little out there.... I'm just not good at male fashions.
I've got EPs! :D
Hi there!
Now I can say that I'm a happy Simmer since I bought 2 Expansion Packs :)
There was a promotion in one of electronic shops here in Poland - "buy Generations, second EP 50% off!". I picked Generations with Late Night and I don't regret ;) Now I'm playing the Late Night, Generations EP waits on the shelf to be installed.
I want to make new creations and share them with you but unfortunatelly I'm not having much free time at the moment because I've got a make-over of my flat and of course I'm working. But I hope there will be some good changes in the near future and I would have more time for creating.
Thank you all for your feedback!!!
Stay tuned and Happy Simming!
Thats My Life, Wont Change It For The World,.
- Some Things In This Poem Might Not Be True For Me, But The Fact Is, Its All True, Its Part Of My Life. And Im Proud <3
I am an Army Brat.
My hometown is nowhere, my friends are everywhere,
And if I haven't been someplace yesterday, I am sure to go there tomorrow.
I grew up with bugle calls and artillery salutes and the knowledge that home is where the heart is and the family
With no dependence on the dwelling.
Mobility is my way of life.
I have found security and happiness in motels and guest houses,
In duplexes and apartments around the world.
Some would wonder about my roots, yet they are as deep and strong as the mighty oaks.
I sink them quickly, absorbing all an area offers and hopefully giving enrichment in return.
Like all Army dependents, I can say "Hello,""Good-bye," and count to 20 in five languages.
I can tell of the shores of Maine, the market places of Mexico,
The Buddha's of Japan; and my knickknack shelves look like those of an import shop,
for my memories span the globe.
Travel has taught me to be open.
By age nine I had seen more of the world than most people do in a life time;
I had touched many and allowed their cultures to touch me.
Shaking hands with the universe, I found a brotherhood in all men.
Just as there is joy in meeting, so is there pain in parting;
And although practice makes perfect,
There is no way to perfect "Good-bye."
Farewells are never easy.
Yet, even in sorrow come strength and an ability to face tomorrow with anticipation.
And if when I leave one place I feel that half my world has been left behind,
I also know that the other half is still waiting to be met.
As an Army Brat,
I go out to others extending handand heart.
Friendships are formed in hours and kept for decades.
I will never grow up with someone,
But I will mature with many,
And the help that I offer today will be returned farther down the road.
Be it inevitable that paths part,
There is constant hope that they will meet again.
I feel fortunate to live in a society of tradition drawing from the past to enhance the present
where silver baby cups announce life,
Horse-drawn caissons pronounce death and the living in between is dedicated to the service of God,
Man and our nation.
Love of country,
Respect and pride fill my being when Old Glory passes in review.
As I stand to honour that flag,
So also do I stand to honour all soldiers.
Most especially to the man whose life created mine,
My father.
Because of him I have shared in the rich heritage of Army life.
And As I Get Older I Will pass on that legacy to my children.
And wish for them a wealth of experiences and knowledge and love,
So that their lives will be blessed as mine,
And I pray that one day they will join me in boasting,
"I am an Army Brat!"
Help! Can anyone fix a faulty mesh for me please?
I am working on my second Kate set and, having re-textured one particular mesh, I noticed that it has a problem which I cannot fix as I don't know the first thing about meshing. The mesh has an alpha skirt but the inside of the skirt is missing which creates a very odd effect. Can anyone fix this mesh for me? I'd be very grateful. It's called 002 by A and it can be found here: Justsims2. I hope someone can help me!
