Success!

Yeah, we nearly sold all tickets for the concert and then we proffesional grade (ya know, lasts years of conservatory ) did our best singing Notre Pere (Maurice Durufle) and All Alone (Popular Chinese) which are both bloody difficult to sing. Oh, and with the orchest and all the chorus we sang Ameno and the Suite Galiciana (Lela and Para Vigo me voy). There was more, but we were on the dressing rooms so no idea about it jajaja

Hi all,

Just a quick update to say I am still around. I have had the all clear on my health issues and I am totally relieved to hear that. I have felt totally out of the Sims world for so long now, that it really did make me feel down at times :(

I am now planning to get all my stuff ready to travel back to my beloved Italy, so I have been busy packing. I am hoping to be back in Italy within the next 2 weeks, fingers crossed.

I will then be able to set up broadband again and chuckt this rotten slow dongle out of the window.

I have lots of stuff planned for you all. Basic tutorials for beginners with step by step photos. I also plan on finally pulling my finger out and learning how to import my own custom meshes/objects. My health issues have certainly slowed me down, but that is all going to change now, I promise!

I will be totally upgrading my profile page and preview shots too. I will be taking a serious look at all my past creations and updating any preview shots that are very sloppy. I want the stuff on my page to be nice to look at, so that you can feel that I have made every effort for you. As I not only want you to enjoy downloading my creations but also enjoying looking at what you see too.

I am so excited and raring to get back into the Sims world again, so watch this space!

Why won't you get out of my head!

Do you ever start building something and then get frustrated that the item you need is completely unavailable?  I've had this idea for a lot popping in and out of my head.  It's a lot for an eco-conscious Sim, a starter meant for one to two sims, that really makes the most out of square footage while leaving a beautiful. lush outdoor lot.  Unfortunately, because I'm following a real floor plan and when I do that, I like to make the final outcome as close as possible to the original, I'm stuck!

You see, the original calls for a ladder to be used as the stairwell up to the loft space.  I may just have to reinstall TS2 to get this out of my head.  You see, I can get one-two tile ladder stairs for it, the capabilities are there for them to be made.  The frustration is that no matter what I try to build right now, I keep coming back to this.  I keep thinking about this lot.  It's like a song that you can't get out of your head!!!  I just keep being drawn back to the lot that I've started with and I wind up playing with the landscaping and planting veggies and fruits... I've tried other things, but six tile stairs (LillieBou's being the closest I've found http://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/986039) but they just don't seems to fit right.  The house wind ups being too big on the tiny lot that I have them placed on and it cuts away from the landscaping provided for the outdoorsy Green living Sim.

I had a thought, sort of a brainstorm, but I don't even know if this is possible because I'm not animation savvy - Could a pool ladder be converted to do the job?  The climbing animation is there and it would help them get from the main floor to the top floor, but can it be done?  Any creator's that see this, if you have any thoughts I'd love to hear them.  I've posted this idea in the wishlist category on the forums too...

I'm taking a break from Prisoners of the Moonless Night....

I have major writer's block on P.M.N. for one....and also, the next part includes making 5+ new vampires, a school, uping skills, and so on....... its complicated......... =.=" So I am going to see if writing a NEW story can help me get past this. So look for that soon. Still have no idea what I'm going to call it.....  TT^TT Maybe Broken, or Scattered Dreams....No idea...... But anyway, Prisoners of the Moonless Night is discontinued for now..... MAYBE the next chapter will be up in a month or so..... Might not. Who konws, since the school year is over. But for now, just look for my new story, whatever it may be called. I put up some screenshots of the main character today.... Lets just hope I can get past chapter one even....... TT^TT

UPDATE:

I got all but one new vamp(teen MALE vamp, I got twin girls like 5 times. u.u so theres one male teen....human..... u.u IT JSUT RUINS IT ALL! DX). I'm taking random screenshots now for the P.O.T.M.N...... u.u I still have writer's block though. TT^TT So, I guess it may be another month, even though I'm out of school. Still have to be able to get past my Writer's block. :/

In the end, it's all okay since he'll sound possessed with my high-pitched voice - haha. So yeah.

The video will be released with chapter 5 of my story, "My Funny Friends and Me". Chapter 5 is still under development so it will get posted around May 24-ish. I'm sure you guys know me enough that you'll be waiting longer for something awesome - haha. And I'm sure most of you know how I beat my 'deadlines' by two days at maximum. Who knows? Chapter 5 might be out tomorrow if I decided to go at it to the max!

New World: Atlantis Renaissance

Presenting my new world...Atlantis Renaissance

Over 11,000 years ago, there existed an island nation located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean that was populated by a noble and powerful race. This was the island of Atlantis. According to the legend, Atlantis was the domain of Poseidon, god of the sea. When Poseidon fell in love with a mortal woman, he created a dwelling at the top of the hill near the middle of the island and surrounded the dwelling with rings of water and land to protect her. When she gave birth to five sets of twin boys, they later became the rulers of Atlantis. Atlas was the first to rule.

To honor Poseidon, a temple was built at the top of the central hill and it housed a giant statue of Poseidon riding a chariot pulled by winged horses. This temple was the hub of the island where laws, tributes to Poseidon was given and judgments were passed. To facilitate travel and trade, canals were dug around the land masses and were connected together with one main water fareway to allow ships to enter Atlantis for trade. This made for three rings. The center ring holding the main temple, the second ring holding most of the commerce and entertainment areas and the third largest ring holding most of the general population. The outer ring entrance was always heavily guarded to prevent invaders and had a fortress nearby.

Atlanteans lived a prosperous life, but greed and power began to change them. When Zeus saw the immortality of the people, he became anger and in one violent surge, the island and its people were gone. This is the summary of the story told by Plato around 360 BC. The legend of Atlantis has been debated for 2000 years.

This legend inspired my creation of a Sims version, which I call Atlantis Renaissance. This rebirth is strictly my humble interpretation of the island, although I tried to build the world according to Plato's description and the different artist renderings. This legendary world has been modified due to the game limitations and to meet the needs of a Sims population. Sculpting the land rings and water canals was a very unique challenge, as well as building lots and roads in a circular fashion.There are dirt roads and pathways for your Sims to travel on by foot, bike or car. (cars are unavoidable) This island was designed and built with the legend in mind, but it can easily be converted to a more modern world play such as a tourist town or whatever your imagination can come up with. It has been thoroughly Sims tested.

Description of World:

Center Ring: Temple of Poseidon (town hall)  sits high on a hill and at the base of the hill is a small Bristro for socializing and hearing the latest island news. This ring is surrounded by a water canal and is connected to the second ring by bridges. (2 C-lots)

Second Ring: holds most of the buisnesses and entertainment areas. There are numerous little retreats available for the Sims hygiene, hunger, social and entertainment needs also.

Community lots available: Ammon Pool, Diaprepe's Market, Plutarch Academy, Saris Park, Sonchio Books & Scrolls, Atlantis Public Restrooms, Plato's Library, Azaes Canal Retreat, Hermocrates Spa/Fitness Center, Meneseus Hospital, Apollo Writer's Club, Psenophis Museum of Art, Atlantis Commons Park, Elasippus Theater, Gadietus Amphitheater, Atlantis Cemetery, Toteni's Tatto/Stylist Shoppes, Atlantis Winery, Atlantis Fire Brigade and the Kaza Sports Bar (EA remodel)

Third Ring: holds most of the residential homes, vineyards, parks, playgrounds and a few community areas. This ring is heavily guarded by the Atlantean military. There are watch towers on each side of the canal entrance to prevent invasion of the inner rings.

Community lots available: Canal Retreat, Persephone Hot Springs, Heliopolis Playground, Eumelus Park (EA remodel), Atlantis Seashore Retreat, Azaes Seashore Retreat, Seashore Public Restrooms, Evenor Pond, Fortress of Atlantis, Cumelas Park, Poseidon Aquarium.

The residential lots have been divided according to population classes: Peasant, Middle Class, Upper Middle Class and Nobility.

Peasant- 3 furnished lots (two are starters) 4 unfurnished on 20x40 lots. (built in rowhouse fashion) These homes are on the other side of the island near the beach front. Numerous empty lots are further down for any future lot needs.

Middle Class- 4 furnished/6 unfurnished on 20x40 lots (built in rowhouse fashion)

Upper Class- 1 furnished/ 3 unfurnished lots on 20x40 lots.

Nobility- 2 furnished lots/ 9 unfurnished (lots vary in size)

All lots were Custom built by me, except for the two EA lots.

Total Community Lots with Buildings: 34            Without Buildings: 7

Total Residential Lots with Buildings: 32             Without Buildings: 44

Custom Content used: 1 Greek railing and arch by Dgandy and Carzarupt's rabbit hole rugs. (or you can get the Jynx rabbithole rugs from MTS) 1 EA store item (Poseidon's Fury) is needed for it to show up in the Aquarium.

subscribe without a credit card

I've been playing the sims for many many years but this is the first time I join a community.. one of the frastrating things about online games communities is the buying process; its not like in real life when it comes to paying, in the shops i can pay with cash if i don't have a credit card (true for me) but online thats not possible, my reason for not having a credit card is that I have poor credit rating, so I decided to wait a while till my credit is better but its annoying not being able to buy stuff, its almost worth going for poor credit credit cards so i can have something for now!

Woohoo! One million downloads in 8 months! Thanks so much you guys I'm glad you like my stuff. I'm still not perfect but i think I'm getting better. I may not have time to reply to every comment but I do read them and I love hearing what you think about my creations. Well I'm not much for words just wanted to say thanks... so thanks :)

The house that toppled over!

Upon accident I stumbled upon a foreign site that I believe is Korean and at this site is a brilliant creator that makes Lots for Sims 3. These Lots are no ordinary creations by no means, they are CFE masterpieces and his/her creations are mind blowing. Could make a grown man weep from the sheer beauty. The Lots struck me as very inspirational and as a beginning creator for Sims 3 I feel that it has altered my course of creating dramitically. One of the earlier creations that this person made is a house that appears to be upside down, it is complete genius. I wanted to create a similiar effect and expand on the idea, so after many hours of poking, prodding, trial, and error I found out how to replicate the exact result of the creator. Not only has the creator inspired me but also guided me into a crash course of using CFE. So thank you creator for which I can not name ;-)!

Now this is only the test product, I plan on expanding the floor plan and as for the style of the house I am not quite for sure. The house will be of my orginal creation but draws inspiration wise heavely off of the creators own work. I wish I could give proper credit but I do not know the creator/s name or anything, after all I do not speak Korean.

Antigua

So I am working on a new world, called Antigua. Basically my goal is to have a tropical oasis for my sims to live in, since I, in real life, do not live in paradise, I thought it would be fun if SOMEONE could. One of the first things that comes to mind when I think of paradise is Palm Trees, and lush landscaping. Beaches of course, as well as night life and an easy pace of life. The problem is, this seems to be quite a lot for the game to handle, so I am gonna have to tone it back some. The question is, where to cut back without doing away with the goal itself. If you get rid of the trees, it looks like a plain piece of grass with some buildings on it, not exactly tropical. If you do away with the buildings and lots, it leave nothing to do, or at least very little. It's a fine line trying to balance it so you have a landscaped, finished look, but not break the Mega Byte bank account. As of current, I have 250 or so MB for the world, and I haven't even put ANY residential lots in to the game yet.

I can only imagine what it will be like when I do place the residential lots in the game, especially the EA created sims lots, just to give it some familiarity and life to the town. Without the simmies, it is like a ghost town, and really pointless to having a "WORLD" that we custom make. I know I have to purge some from the list, it's just hard when you want it all, but you can't have it all. 

I will post some pictures when I get it finished further along. As of now though, it is going to have to be overhauled for streamlining. The thing is, I think it looks nice now, with a downtown with all of the community lots in a "downtown" area, and the residences around the outskirts of the town.

Who Knew

I have to laugh at myself. Really. I'm quite silly. I stopped playing my sims around the time I got Outdoor Stuff, or whatever that pack is called. See, I can't even remember. That last one, whatever it was. Anyway, I'm working on redecorating one of my lots so I can get my vampire started again. I do so love my vampys. Um, yeah, anyway, as I was going through the catalog I came across the hot tubs. A lot more hot tubs than I remember. Odd. Where did all those come from? Oops, oh yeah... I never did play the game with the new stuff pack. ROFL I'm a dork. See, I am not kidding when I say I totally forgot where I was, what I was doing, and gutted my game. I had to! How could I go on like that? So lost, and alone. Surrounded by CC and not knowing from whence it came? The negosity!

But I'm back in the swing of things. Not building yet since I want to get this lot all purdy for my sim so I have a family going in time for Generations. I do like to test things out with my own sims instead of random premade sims in the hood. I don't know why I'd rather torture my own. I'm a good person, what can I say? I will hold off on weddings until the end of the month because I really miss the hoohah of the past. Getting married can be a big deal. So I'd like the option again to fuss over it or just whisper to each other by the pond. I do whatever fits my sims... or my mood. Mwhahahahahahaha. No sims were harmed, at least not permanently, in the process of living out my virtual fantasies. OK, reword that. It sounds kinky and I'm not kinky. I still have the blur on for Pete's sake. No hacks. Nope. Not a one.

As for building, I keep going back to my Ayesleigh lot. I do want to redo that for you all. I can always improve something. So that might be my next venture for the creating world. I've probably gotten quite rusty on the intricacies of build mode anyway. I'll cuss at the roofs and mutter at the stairs. And so help me... "Can not intersect other objects." better not pop up on my screen. I'll have to use a cheat or something. Dang it all.

I am having quite a bit of fun rounding up new CC here on TSR as well as dumping in some of my old. I've jettisoned quite a bit too. Gotta make room for more. There's always neat stuff out there. Can't have enough clutter.

Lunch break is over so I better get back to work. Y'all should be seeing more of me in the days to come.

So here is the complete preview for my new set, inspired by five outfits made famous by Kate Middleton, the new Duchess of Cambridge.

It's always challenging (and time consuming!) trying to re-create real life outfits for The Sims. I am not a mesh creator so I had to do my best using existing meshes. Inevitably, this involved some compromises. The transparent dress, for example, should ideally have high heels but also required a mesh with an alpha skirt which could be made translucent. I couldn't find a mesh that met both criteria. The Reiss dress Kate wore for the official engagement photos was a particular challenge as it really requires quite a complex custom mesh for the flounces at the front. Likewise, the bridal gown ideally requires a custom mesh for the frills at the back. I would have liked to use a mesh with wedge heels and a layered alpha skirt for Kate's Zara dress as it has a lovely layered floaty skirt in real life, but I wasn't able to find such a mesh. Finding appropriate meshes is becoming increasingly difficult as Sims 2 sites begin to disappear, which is very sad.

All outfits are available for adults and young adults (although, of course, young adults cannot marry in The Sims!). The short dresses are categorised as everyday wear and the bridal gown as formal wear. The transparent dress actually works very well as beachwear. The meshes I used in the end were created by Crechebaby, Shannara and Ulkrhsn - many thanks to them for their wonderful meshes. Veil, tiara and bridal bouquet available free from Pronupsims, which, as always, I cannot recommend highly enough. And, of course, if you're planning a Sims 2 wedding, don't forget to take a look at my tutorial here at TSR, The Sims 2 Wedding Planner.

Here's a few resources I've kept that Sims story (or general) writers may find to be handy. Maybe someone will stumble upon it and find something useful to them... or maybe not.

A wide variety of information and grammar rules in general. We have often used this in several of my English classes, so it's a good resource if you forgot or just need to refresh your mind on a certain topic.

Exactly as the title says. Some of it is about formatting on programs such as Microsoft Word, which wouldn't help a Sims story writer, but there are also several sections that explain topics that writers often aren't sure about. (whom verses who, for example)

Another self-explanatory one. Read stories written by others to gain inspiration, give feedback, or just have fun. (Some people may not have the exact same opinion on this one; I just find reading something written by someone else helps get your own self writing)

Creating

I've been creating for Sims 2 for a while now - usually just random things, no sets or anything. I make recolors and a few simple meshes of things that I'd like to have in my game. I'm thinking about uploading some of my creations to TSR because the feedback here is amazing.

I'm also trying to make some things for The Sims 3 but the process is a little confusing for me. The Workshop seems pretty easy to use but I know nothing about Milkshape.

Hopefully I'll have some creations to show soon!

What is done in Yokio City. Since February 6, 2010.

Today i'll show you the city, which is really city, looks like city, feels like city, but was made in sims 3 XD.
This city was started February 6, 2010. The city is creating by Nova Builders & Genetics Corp, but construction of the buildings is totally on me XD. Total number of people working on this project: 7 (1 arch, 3 interior designers, 3 sim-makers). This city collected ideas from various anime movies and some mangas, the map was found on simtropolis (simcity 4 related site) it was fully recreated to meet standarts of our idea. We are trying to work faster on this city, but ETA is 3-4 years *i hope XD*. The map is 2048x2048 pixels. The flag has gnu copyright and was not made by NBGC, the coat of arms was created with coat of arms of Republic of Udmurtia as a base (Russian Federation) and some clip-art objects. The city without buildings have a size of 200mb, after construction all needed building it will have a size of < 900mb, also it will have a save file, and some compressed package files. But even right now my game have top graphic options, with system: Intel E7400 Core 2 Duo 2.8ghz, 4 gb RAM, Nvidia GTS 250, 750 SATA Barracuda 7400rpm.

All the hi-rise buildings were created in game with wall tools *they are not meshes*, they are fully working, simmies going up'n'down on elevator, flats in this buildings are situated on top of'em. Some other hi-rises in Central prefectures are bussines&journalism rabitholes. Everything woking fine and smooth XD.

Pardon my absence

Sorry it is taking me so long to get another creation submitted, I just don't want anyone to think I dropped off the face of the earth lol.  Some personal time off, my job and other things have made it more slowly to work on another creation, though today I'm working and trying to finish up on another cottage I am sure you will like. More chocolate to simulate the brain and get creative juices flowing!! 

Concert

I'm seventeen! Yi-ha.

It would be better of course -i could have less exams right now, for example xD,  but I'm enjoying the jokes with my mates and it's a year less to say fuck you to a big part of the familie -nevermind, idiots will be idiots everytime. Also I've had a concert just yesterday, it was my first time alone in the stage so yeah, I had some -tecnic!- fails but... what the hell?! It was the first time, we had a week to prepare it and I'd do it again. Well, I'll do it again if I don't give up singing. Btw, we were doing it because of the Letras Galegas day here in Galicia so it was all music from here -folklore but not only. Look for Lela in youtube and give it a try if you want to know something about our music -Astarot version, please ^^

I have not for gotten about them. I been kinda busy. For that I have not done another chapter. When I do it soon. I will send out a few chapters. For I am getting Generations in June Shipped to me. I may only have 2 or three chapters come out before then. I hope to to get at least a chapter out before the end of May. The other problem is that I have a wedding to go to May 28. I probably will not be on May 28 or 29.

Regarding my creations

Today the last set in my "Femme Chic" collection got published, which means no more "Femme Chic" stuff. I hope you guys liked all items in the collection and that you will enjoy it in your game.

As of today, I can announce that I'm back to objects! Yes, I'm back to meshing new objects for your game. I've changed my mind in creating, so it will be less boxy stuff and more shapes. I will also work on a new minisite design and preview for my upcoming items. No more clothes will be created for a while, which means more time for objects after a four months long break from it!

I'll also annouce I've made a couple of poses some day ago, which turned out pretty good. Due to they're not released I don't know if I'm going to publish them whether to publish them. I've had a thought of re-opening my Orangetea Blog, but nothing is clear right know. 

I've noticed that many asks were I get my hairs from, the answer is; read the credits list on the item! I always credit the creator for their creation. I get all my hairstyles from NewSea, and in some cases PeggyZone and CoolSims. I might also have from RaonSims (RaonJena), Xm Sims and RoseSims. You guys also ask were the shoes come from; TSR! Most of them I use comes from TSR Artists such as Noxeen, Simsimay and Icia.
